This (Qur’an) is the revelation of the Lord
of the worlds. The Trusted Spirit has brought
it down upon your heart, so that you become

We, Ourselves, have sent down the Dhikr
(the Qur’an), and We are there to
protect it. (15:9)
 WHAT IS SCIENCE?
• “Science is defined as the observation,
identification, description, experimental
investigation, and theoretical explanation of natural
phenomena”.

1. CREATION OF THE
UNIVERSE:
“Do not the Unbelievers see That
the heavens and the earth Were
joined together (as one Unit of
Creation), before We clove them
asunder?” (21:30)

 SCIENCE’s view

• JUPITER and SATURN are mostly composed of

gases
• 25% Helium and 75% Hydrogen
• Nuclear Fusion Reaction on the Sun.
• Hydrogen is the fundamental element of all
the elements (Scientists think!)
 QURAN

• “Moreover, He Comprehended In His

design the sky, And it had been (as)
smoke: He said to it And to the earth:
‘Come ye together, Willingly or
unwillingly.’ They said: ‘We do come
(Together), in willing obedience.” (41:11)
 3. THE SPHERICAL
SHAPE OF THE EARTH
 SCIENCE’s view

• Earth is flat (In ancient times)

• Sir Francis Drake was the first person who
proved that the earth is spherical when he
sailed around it in 1597.
 QURAN

• Did you not see that Allah makes the

night enter into the day, and makes the
day enter into the night, and He has
subjugated the sun and the moon, each
running towards an appointed time, and
that Allah is fully aware of what you do?
(31:29)
 Earth is geo-
spherical
And the earth, moreover, Hath He
made egg shaped.” (79:30)
The Arabic word for egg here is dahaha,
which means an ostrich-egg.
The Quran is not a book of science
but a book of ‘signs’, i.e. Ayaat(
‫) آیات‬.
