 Rehabilitation Support System (RSS)

• The RSS use case was run on the premises of a Romanian NGO – Asociatia
MAME, in Bucharest.
• Monitored health parameters to constantly improve the health of the
population through rehabilitation and kinetotherapy care, specifically
targeting the patient's functional aspect of integration in everyday life,
environment and work.
• Developed a decision support system and services based on the outdoors
environment parameters and indoor location.
• Reduced operations costs and improve quality of the services provided.

The pilot study which was developed in

Romania used data from ambient sensors
(air quality, atmospheric pressure,
temperature, humidity) and the
biometric, physiological and behavioral
sensors, (heart rate and respiratory

account the associations between the values of
the pollutant concentrations and the health
effects.

Developed an algorithm that determines a CAQI

– Composite Air Quality Index based on the
measured values of the significant air pollutants
(PMs, NO2).
