GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Control and maintain the timely production of bakery goods, ensuring that quality standards and
procedures are in line with the HACCP standards and up to the Velaa service standards.
• Ensure safe & quality pastry production to create a friendly guest-oriented luxury service culture to deliver
maximum guest satisfaction.
• Responsible for all bread production, freshness and consistency of pastry items, demonstrate excellent
hands on techniques and the ability to maintain exceeding standards.
• Train and manage a team of different cultures and manage costs.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum 10 years' of experience in a similar role at a 5 star luxury hotel/resort.
• A degree in baking and pastry arts or relevant educational qualification.
• Excellent knowledge of European traditional baking methods and pastries and exceptional artistic abilities.
• Good command of written & spoken English.
• Guest oriented and have a pleasant and positive personality with the flexibility to not hesitate in covering
long duty hours if need be.
• Professional appearance and impeccable hygiene standards are required with excellent knowledge of all
health policies; team builder with exceptional work ethics, and motivational skills that can keep the team’s
morale high at all times.
• Experience in leading multi-cultural teams; flexible, stress resistant, and committed team player
