 First impression is last impression and you won’t get second chance, it takes long time to change your first impression, so first
impression should be perfect.
  first impressions are generally influenced most by nonverbal communication and body language. They found that clothing,
hairstyles, accessories, and other aspects of a person’s outward appearance have a seemingly smaller influence on first impressions.
 Study says, first impressions are made very fast and it take only first 10 seconds and we decide whether or not the person is
attractive, trustworthy, competent, extroverted, or dominant.
 Companies like to hire a person who are well dressed, aggressive and look professional and it come from person first impression.

Introduction
This concept based on our past action or we refer it in general language as karma or also refer to as fruits of our past actions and we know
that whatever we doing today is going to create an impression for future. So lets see how we can make better choices and lead our life in a
better way.
When situation go bad or we have challenges in our life there is tendency of blaming the situation or feeling helplessness and after
sometimes you feel I am the only person facing all these problems and life is quite good to most of other peoples. So this tendency of
overwhelming or helplessness is something which we may experience. To overcome all these difficulties there are some underline reasons
how we can handle and how we create effective choices in our life.
In this world, people have likes, dislikes thoughts which matches and differences when thoughts sometimes don’t match
Sometimes we understand that we need to be positive. Thoughts which sometimes matches with our likes sometime backfires , when it
backfires we feel “why me”?
Life is a game
Life is a game and while playing game we need to take checks in certain ways and need to be free from bad karmas from our actions so our
life ahead will be more happy. law of the universe is very simple “as you give so you get”, so if you getting in to some thing which is going
through to create more issues and hassle by you then definitely that the energy you giving that’s the energy you coming back. So its very
important to see where we stand and find out how to improvise our lives by knowing where we stand and make our life beautiful ahead.
In the field of life we are playing a game which god has created and during the game we will have lots of ups and down.
Comparing this game like the T20 cricket match Twenty 20, originally introduced in Englang and wales for professional inter county
competition by the England and Wales cricket board (ECB) in 2003 10
 Here we relate format of T 20 game with our life the two teams are you an your life, similarly like 2 innings of the T 20 we live life in the parts,
then we have to distinguish the life years in part and living parts in sense of having some goal for a specified period of time and revaluate the
goal then again have goal for next specified time period and again revaluate it, it will give you some excitement like T 20 in life and that
planning for achieving goals give you consistency in life, your actions impact on your life for that specified life period and each life period
influences the other so its our responsibility and accountability that what life we want, how we create these situation and choices now so later
we can lead that particular life. This the whole idea of playing T 20 in life.
 Why & How life is a Game?
Life is a game of skills, talent, striving and endurance by which god tests us, just like the games we have created for ourselves. As way we
use our ability as the way we can go ahead.
As in sports so in life we all strive and the best ones win the game, but at the end of the day it is a game now like the games is T20
cricket game.
Every person is responsible for his or her acts and thought, so each person’s karma is entirely his or her own.
If we see life from the angle of 20 overs or 20 years we can create the life of our choice and benefit from our choices.
 The rules of the game are:
 Strive to do your best and have sense of idea of your inner values.

 20:20 Game of the Gods
The first 20 years of our life are determined by our karma of our last birth due to which we are born in a particular form, country, religion, race
or family. This period of life is foundation for next 60 years, it your foundation will be weak it will carry forward to next 20 years.
The progress we make in the next 20 years from age 20 to 40, our youth and adulthood are determined by our karma of the first 20 years,
particularly our parents guidance or lack of it, our cultural education in the family or lack of it, at the same time the effects of our last birth fade out
and lessen their effects on us as a result of those karma we have already enjoyed in the first 20 years of our life
From age 40 to 60 years of our adulthood and midlife, get affected by the karma of past 20 years of our life at the same time we stop suffering
of enjoying the benefits from our karma. This depends on the intellectual capacity developed the friends we choose, the books we read, the
knowledge we gather, wisdom developed from knowledge and learning from mistakes made in past.
Next 20 years from age 60 to 80 years we are relatively free from the baggage of our first 60 years as we are freed from family and work
responsibilities we enjoy the benefit of karma of the last 20 years. The benefit of our karma due to understanding and wisdom gained with age. We
have all the opportunity and very little reason not to redeem our lives. If we have done good, we enjoy fruits. If we have collected bad karma
knowingly, or unknowingly due to anger, greed, vices or overindulgences of our senses, we suffer.
The years after 80 years can be used effectively to win in a short time by redeeming ourselves from our sins by good act. God gives us extra
time to score runs in the game of life we have neither won or lost. God gives us extra balls to win the game.
So the rule of T 20 is We need to do the best when we do our best we definitely turn out to be a winner, when we are the winner we definitely go
ahead in our lives and all this depend totally in your present action and on your present way of Thinking and behaving, so make effective choices
so that your T20 of life is more easier and gives you that success and gives you a winner feeling to keep you ahead and motivated.

3 - GANTT CHARTS- PROF. GAURANG CHANDARANA
 Introduction
• A Gantt chart is a visual view of tasks schedule over time, Gantt charts are used for planning projects of all size and they are a useful way of
showing what work is scheduled to be done on a specific day, they also help you view the start and end dates of a project in one simple view.
• The first Gantt chart was devised in the mid 1890s by KAROL ADAMIECKI, a Polish engineer who ran a steelwork in southern Poland and had
become interested in management ideas and techniques.
• Some 15 years after Adamiechi, HENRY GANTT, an American engineer and project management consultant, devised his own version of chart
and it was become widely known and popular in western countries, consequently it was Henry Gantt who's name associated with the chart.
 History and development
 One of the major applications of Gantt charts was by the United States during World war I, at the instigation og general William Crozier, these
charts were used in the United state arsenals during 1918 in production of neval aircraft s and other such war related machineries and other
government work after that its just matter of time industries also pick up this tool and using it intensively according to there requirements.
 The earlier Gantt charts were drawn on paper and therefore had to be redrawn entirely in order to adjust to schedule changes. In 1980’s Personal
computers allowed widespread creation of complex and elaborate Gantt charts. The first desktop applications were intended mainly for project
managers and project schedulers. With the advent of the internet and increased collaboration over networks at the end of the 1990’s. Gantt charts
become a common feature of web-based applications, including collaborative groupware.

 Advantages:-
 Gantt charts have become a common technique for representing the phases and activities of a project.

 They are very useful for project to up 30 activities.

 The clearly break down the work into specific manageable parts.

 It helps clarify the workflow sequences and dependencies.

 It gives pictorial representation is very easy to understand.

 Limitations:-
 They become unwieldy for projects having greater then 30 activities.

 Gantt charts only represent part of the cost, time and scope of projects, because they focus primarily on schedule management.

 Gantt charts do not represent the size of a project or the relative size of work elements.

 If two projects are the same number of days behind schedule, the larger project has a larger impact on resource utilization yet the Gantt dose not
represent this difference.
 They won’t show the necessity to complete one task before another can begin.

 Help you to plan out the task need to be completed.

 Gives you a basis for scheduling when these tasks will be carried out.

 Allow you to plan the allocation of resources needed to complete the project.

4 - 6 THINKING HATS BY PROF. GAURANG CHANDARANA
 Introduction:-

• Six thinking hats is a system designed by Edward D Bono which describe a tool for group discussion and individual thinking involving six
colored hats. “Six thinking hats” and the associated idea parallel thinking provide a means for groups to plan thinking processes in a detailed and
cohesive way and in doing so to think together more effectively.
• Six thinking hats helps to tackle a situation by looking at it from different point of views which in turn helps to get holistic views and both are
equally important in todays business world.
• It helps us to move away from various thinking habits we have and enhances our ability to change our vision/view point with changing business
environment.

 What is all About 6 thinking hats


• It reduce confusion which is main difficulty with thinking.

• We try to do many things at once emotions, information's, logic, hope and creative all crowd in on us and it create confused mind of state, better
try to do separately and crystalized it.

 Parallel thinking – alignment


 Everyone think different way in same situation and on the basis of different perspective we try to best each other, thinking based of facts verses
opinions , positive possibilities verses negative possibilities or unrealistic expectation verses practicalities. There is conflict always so we have
to put all opposite sorts of things together and align ant get on a track that s the way parallel thinking works.

• White hat- Facts, logic, research used to put across your point and is an objective hat.

5 – GOAL SETTING BY PROF. GAURANG CHANDARANA
 Albert Einstein rightly said if you want to have a happy life, tie it to a goal not to people or things means if you know where you have to go clear
to have path towards it and you will drive towards it, in this case you will not get suede here and there, this is so much important in todays
comparative world.
 The three main elements in goal settings are envision , plan and commitment to achieve.
 Benefits
 Benefits of goal setting on a personal level can be- Achieving targets more efficiently, less confusion, provide direction and job satisfaction, .

 Benefits of goal setting on a organisational level can be- future oriented work force, better communication, clarity of direction, delegation of
authority, commitment to objectives and results.

 To differentiate between goals and objectives, goals can be general or specific on the other hand objectives are immediate results of setting a goal
or to be precise a path to reach goals.

 Hierarchy in goal setting is like a pyramid and it is very important to follow the pattern.

 Hence the hierarchy of goal setting has to be a top down approach, company vision comes on the top and individual goals comes at bottom.

 First comes the vision and mission of the company, every organisation has a vision, in terms of where it wants to be and based on that
goals are set.
 Further a plan is made for a group for e.g.- An HR group or a finance group, this groups will set the goals for themselves

 Based on the goals of the group, the departments under these groups will set the goals and based on those goals an individual sets his
own goal, as to how he can contribute to reach the departmental goal.
 It is of importance to link those goals or it makes no sense in setting them. First the goal needs to be set, it needs to be monitored
whether everyone is on the right track or not. Third comes feedback, it is necessary to tell the individuals, department, or groups for that
matter on how are they fairing in accordance with set goal and at last rewarding the employees when they achieve their set goal in the
form of bonus, appraisals, incentives, etc.
 In order to set a goal there has to be a purpose behind setting those, for e.g. cost reduction, quality improvement, increase in sales, etc.

 Also it is quite necessary to explain everyone about the goal setting process as regard to how they have been set.

 SMARTER GOAL

• Specific-
• Goals need to be specific, they cannot be general.
• For e.g.- A student’s goal maybe to become a marketing manager, here manager in marketing field is what meant by being specific.

• Measurable-
• Goals should be objectively measurable.
• For e.g.- For a production manager production of 500 cars in a month might be a goal, here how many cars in terms of numbers is

measurable.
• Achievable-
• Goals should always be challenging but at the same time they should be realistic.
• For e.g.- Increase sales of cars by 20% every month set by a sales manager but if there no sale in last 2 or 3 months its not look
achievable. There should be demand for that car.
• Relevant-
• It is necessary to set goals which are relevant to the organisations goal.
• For e.g.- If the organisational goal is to reduce cost by 20% then the individual goal should be to strive hard to reduce the cost by 20% and not by
10-15%.
• Time bound-
• Goals need to be time-bound, they should be achieved in a timely manner.
• For e.g.- In an automobile business a goal can be reducing waiting period for vehicles by 10% during the first two quarters, here it has a deadline
that the goal has to be achieved in the first two quarters hence time bound.
• Effective-
• A goal should be one that focuses on critical factors and avoids less important ones.
• For e.g.- Rolling out an important policy which will benefit the employees or customers instead of making a policy to reduce the use of stationery.

• Reinforcing-
• Subsequent goals in a list reinforce previous goals, and do not contradict them.
• Even organisations tend to lose their ways in between.
• For e.g.- If the goal is to save paper, the management should not send this to all the employees in writing as a circular, on the other hand the
committee can put it on the notice board and everyone else can read it from there.

Get together or Meet to discuss goal, give first chance to employee to speak, provide positive reinforcement for goals after that establish a
combined set of goals, its should not be one individual’s goals it should be teams goal It increases success of obtaining goals.
 Monitoring the process
A joint agreement with your team member and your bosses that how you will measure and monitoring certain aspects with in a time frame of
the process. after that we need to assess the progress towards reaching the goal, make any necessary adjustments if required.
 Goal setting
Create the importance and make people understanding of the entire activity, then introduce the process in a formal way and generate the goal
after generating goal measuring and monitoring after all your efforts for setting goals you will defiantly achieve your goal as a team.
 Dangers of goal setting
If your goal setting is incorrect it can be unspecific unrealistic, unmeasurable or not time bond etc. , if that happened you will not achieve your
goal and it can be counterproductive and demoralizing. goal setting activity is work best and achievement of goals happens best only when the
activities are mutual, unless two people to don’t agree to something you can never reach anywhere.
 8 Principles of goal setting
1. Develop warm relationships and have genuine concern.
2. Focus on present and future plans – not on why past plans failed.

 Mainak Dhar wears many hats. His most important job to be the best possible father and husband he can be. An alumnus of the Indian Institute of
Management, Ahmedabad, his ‘day job’ is in a senior leadership position with a major multinational firm Procter & Gamble and General Mills.
 His professional goal is to keep stretching business and leadership experience to progress in his career while at a personal level his key goal is to
ensure that despite increasing responsibilities and challenges at work, he can keep his balance.
 The secret of his consistent in taking challenges and delivering In tough business situation whether its turn around or managing changes, lots of
people focus on the results and numbers but its equally important to focus on “WHY”, his fundamentally believe is that generally people are
good and they want to best they can do if results are not coming than its important to what is the problem? Why are the result not deliver as they
have to, is there priorities uncleared, resource issues, capabilities issues, so its very important to focus on WHY, when you fix the root cause of
problems you will get sustainable results.
 He knows 5 languages including French and Thai and worked with people with very different background and culture so there is lots of learning
for him.
 He also have a writing bug since his childhood. Books written by him have really become famous and in some cases they’ve been bought for
making movies. His books have been bestsellers in India and abroad including the Alice in Deadland series, 03:02 and Sniper’s Eye. Whenever
he get time he utilize it to try to write books. His personal favorite book is The Funda of Mix-ology.
 As per him work life balance is float consent, because people think the work is one side and everything's going other things is at other side this is
the dooms to failure, We all have a life so work is important part of it but one part of life its not balancing work with life but its about to
balancing all the role we play as a father, brother, friends responsibility to the society etc. So we have to decide our priorities which role we have
to play everyday give justice to every role.

better meeting consumers need and very strong commitment to values. These values guiding what we are doing and why we are doing and this is
all about quality, business ethics and business terms. So the important to do the right thing and do it for the long term.

 The new and improved successor to the beloved Chetak was unveiled last October after a long hiatus. People have been eagerly
waiting to witness a once-familiar household name in its contemporary, smart avatar.

 The electric scooter features Chetak’s signature ‘C’ symbol throughout its design.

 The most striking of the design features has to be the horse-shoe shaped LED headlamp along with LED turn signals, an all-
digital instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity, keyless ignition and so. The 2020 Chetak EV tips the weighing scale at
120 kilograms and the top speed stands at only 60 kmph by being an electric vehicle.
The Chetak is available in six color options.

 The Chetak's electric motor provides 4 kW (5.36 bhp) of peak power, and 3.8 kW ( 5 bhp) of
continuous power, and 16 Nm of torque. The Chetak gets two operational modes Eco and
Sport. In Eco mode, the Chetak has a claimed maximum range of over 95 km, while
in Sport mode, the range is limited to over 95 km on a single charge.

 The Chetak is equipped with a disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear which can brake in 2.8 m from a speed of
60km/h.
 The price
 The final price and variants of Bajaj’s smart EV will be unveiled at the launch but its expected the Chetak’s price may range
from Rs 90,000 to Rs 1.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
 According to media reports Bajaj will also be offering a custom mobile app for the Chetak electric scooter for riders to

5 - CHINA'S GREAT WALL AGREES TO BUY GENERAL MOTORS' INDIA
PLANT

Great Wall Motors (GWM) and General Motors (GM) announced an agreement for the sale of GM India’s Talegaon
manufacturing facility, subject to requisite government and regulatory approvals.

Great Wall, one of the biggest sellers of sports-utility vehicles (SUV) in China ,agreed a purchase price of US$250m-US$300m for
the 160,000 units a year vehicle assembly plant. Great Wall's vice-president of global strategy, Liu Xiangshang, said in a
statement: "The Indian market has great potential with rapid economic growth and a good investment environment.
Chinese automakers are accelerating plans to build cars in India to combat slowing sales at home and have been
encouraged by the initial success of rival SAIC Motor in the country, China’s SAIC owns British brand MG Motor . GM India’s
other Indian plant at Halol has been taken over by SAIC motor.
Great Wall's move also comes at a time when global carmakers like Fiat Chrysler, Ford Motor and GM are scaling back in
India after battling it out in one of the world's most competitive markets dominated by smaller, low-cost cars
made by Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai Motor.

GM, which stopped selling cars in the domestic market from the end of 2017, GM’s Talegaon plant had an annual
installed capacity to roll out 165,000 vehicles and make 160,000 engine units. General Motor continued to build small cars for
export to countries like Mexico at its second plant in Talegaon in Maharashtra state which it has now agreed to sell.
Great Wall is expected to boost investment as it upgrades and modifies GM's plant to suit its needs and set up a base for
its suppliers, said one of the sources, adding that the automaker expects to begin production within a year.
The SUV-maker is still finalizing it’s plans to make in India first, including whether to kick off its launch with an
electric SUV, A company statement said, “GWM will officially debut its Havel brand and GWM EV at the Delhi International
Auto Show, and launch its Indian market plan.

6 - EUROPEAN CARMAKERS TO BUILD CHARGING NETWORK FOR EVS

A group of car companies has taken an important step toward making electric cars a more viable option for consumers, by
forming a joint venture to build hundreds of fast-charging stations across Europe.
The consortium, Ionity, is made up of Ford, BMW, Daimler, and Volkswagen (and VW-owned Audi and Porsche). The joint
venture created among automakers to build the network, it has completed more than 200 stations and expects to have 400
operating by the end of the year. Each station has 4-6 charging columns.
These charging network will build in highways so it convincing car buyers they can switch to electrics and still take long
highway trips without worrying about running out of juice.
Ionity said that it would have 20 charging stations up and running this year in Austria, Germany, and Norway, and plans to
add another 100 in various countries next year, with a view to reaching 400 stations across Europe by 2020.
Last year, battery-powered cars accounted for only 2% of the market in Europe but manufacturers need to sell more to meet
tougher European Union limits on greenhouse gas emissions coming into effect from 2021. Carmakers that don't meet the limits
face fines of thousands of euros per vehicle.
The network is also a response to California-based electric car maker Tesla, which has its own
charging network. The Ionity network will be open to Tesla owners.

Ionity CEO Michael Hajesch said Ionity would charge 79 euro cents per kilowatt hour for
customers who don't have a contract with a mobility service provider for a different rate.
That replaces the previous price of 8 euros per charging session.
With 350kW capacity, the super-fast Ionity chargers will radically cut the time people need to wait around while
topping up their batteries. The stations will also be just 75 miles (120km) apart, meaning drivers don’t need to plan routes or
worry about running out of charge before they reach the next one.
Ionity's 350-kilowatt stations mean charging could be completed in as little as 10-15 minutes for cars that can take full
advantage; other models will charge more slowly.
Ionity opened its first station 17 April 2018 at a rest stop of the A61 highway near the small town of Niederzissen,
south of Bonn in western Germany. The six high-speed chargers are operated in "welcome mode," meaning they were free
until 31 May 2018.

8- YOU SOON WON’T SEE ‘LIKES’ ON INSTAGRAM, AND HERE’S WHY
Instagram (also known informally as IG or Insta) is an American photo and video-sharing social networking
service owned by Facebook, Inc. Instagram started to hide likes in select countries earlier this year, It's a decision made as
the Facebook-owned social network tries to deprioritize likes on the platform .
Instagram ran a test in certain parts of the world where the number of likes on any post was hidden. Originally practiced in
countries Canada, Australia, Brazil, Ireland, Italy, Japan, and New Zealand and selected test groups in the US have access to
hidden likes on Instagram
So, why is Instagram hiding likes?
It all comes down to making Instagram a safe and healthy place to spend time online, which is important for everyone’s
mental health, but particularly Gen Z.
Some users appear obsessed with getting likes more than anything else to measure popularity, but that's not Instagram's
purpose. The platform exists for users to share special moments with friends. Now, it'll try lessening
the importance of this single statistic by hiding it altogether.
As CEO Mosseri shared, “the idea is to de-pressurize Instagram”, and make it a space
that’s more focused on connections, conversations and community, especially for young
people. 
This year Instagram has been taking positive actions to make the platform a safer, more inclusive space.

Instagram is also looking for solutions for individuals and brands for whom the like count is rather necessary. This
includes social media influencers whose sponsorships sometimes depend on the like count they generate.
While certain celebrities have come out against the idea, pointing out that the number of likes is important and
empowering for independent artists to grow, most people are in support of the decision. Influencers have told Buzzfeed that
the mental-health improvement that could come from the move was the most important element. Kim Kardashian West,
who has usually been one of Instagram’s 10 most followed users, said the change could be beneficial.

The Apple co-founder's message about the urgency of life becomes even more relevant after his passing. After eight
year of his untimely death his messages about life are very true.
In an address to Stanford's 2005 graduating class, Jobs explained “ Your time is limited, so don't waste it living
someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't
let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow
your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is
secondary”. these apply to everyone.
After being diagnosed with what doctors explained was probably an incurable form of pancreatic cancer, he was given
between three and six months to live. Jobs had surely been on an emotional rollercoaster.
His massages to the new graduates to how do you go about living that life? Jobs
highlights three key practices.
1. Consider your own passing.

not to follow your heart.
2. Conduct an honest assessment.

Ask yourself a question each day by standing in front of the mirror: "If today were the last day of my life, would I want
to do what I am about to do today?"
  If the answer is 'No' for too many days in a row, you need to change something." Ask yourself this same question when
you start your day and answer honestly. It can be frightening to admit you're not living the life you want, but it's the only way
to pivot toward your true calling.
3. March to the beat of your own drum.

As Jobs explains, living someone else's life is wasting your own. Instead, he urges you to find the role you were meant
to fill. "You've got to find what you love... Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly
satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do."
"If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it, "
We may not know how much time we have left, but we have the ability to decide how we use it. The most
accomplished leaders maximize their results by finding the work that's most meaningful to them and pursuing it passionately.

10- BAJAJ AUTO AND TRIUMPH MOTORCYCLES TO ANNOUNCE ALLIANCE
ON 24TH JANUARY?
Over two years after announcing their interest to co-develop mid-size motorcycles, Bajaj Auto and iconic British
motorcycle brand Triumph Motorcycles are likely to sign a formal agreement for a non-equity partnership on 24 January.
Regular followers would know that Bajaj Auto and Triumph Motorcycles had announced their plans to co-develop new bikes
in August 2017.

The Bajaj-Triumph alliance will help the homegrown two-wheeler brand to enter in the bigger engine category
(400cc-750cc motorcycle segment ), while the British company would be able to develop more affordable motorcycles.
Bajaj Auto currently has a partnership with KTM for sub-400 cc motorcycle segment. The Austrian premium
motorcycle brand makes its bikes like Duke and RC models in Bajaj Auto's Chakan plant near Pune.
  While the two brands are yet to sign a final agreement, Triumph Motorcycles’ executives had confirmed in that past
that an early prototype was already undergoing test runs. Another report claimed that the first
product from the Anglo-Indian partnership  will be ready by 2022. Steve Sargent, Chief
Product Officer, Triumph Motorcycles, had stated in an interview that Rajiv Bajaj,
Managing Director, Bajaj Auto, has already seen the product. Sargent also added that
the two manufacturers are pleased with the vehicle.

Sargent said, This is a product in the 250cc to 750cc segment. It will be a one engine platform, but there will be
different engine capacities catering to different bike styles. We have been discussing with Bajaj about what is the desirable
specification. We agreed on what that would be in terms of performance, power and capacity. We know fuel economy is very
important in India. Bajaj has a lot of knowledge about the Indian consumer, which they have brought to the project.
The Made-in-India Bajaj-Triumph motorcycles, as confirmed by Rajiv Bajaj, will be exported to markets like Europe,
Japan and the US. In India, the co-developed/manufactured motorcycles would be sold through the Triumph dealerships.
Local manufacturing will enable Bajaj-Triumph to price the products competitively.
