• The Larox PF filter includes two pipelines which

link it with the process, namely the feed pipe and
the filtrate pipe.

• Filtrate pipe
• Filtrate pipe does not have valves
• Filtrate is collected via hoses which are fixed by
means of “l-couplings”.

• The cloth-wash pipes are located in the front vat

• The wash equipment includes a transport line for water or other wash
liquid, a pinch valve, two spray pipes, and a filter cartridge
• The cloth wash liquid is discharged from the front vat through its own
pipeline
• The cloth-wash liquid supplied to the filter is led to the spray pipes through
a filter cartridge located at the feed end of the pressure filter
• The sieve in the filter cartridge removes any solids from the liquid
• The liquid is then led into two spray pipes located on either side of the
filter cloth
• The spray pipes are equipped with a series of spray nozzles

• The cloth-wash liquid pressure must be at least 5 bar
• The spray nozzles, which are situated along the length of the
spray pipes, form a high-pressure spray along the entire width
of the filter cloth
• Properly aligned spray pipes and nozzles ensure efficient
cloth cleaning
• The wash sprays are controlled by a pinch valve
• When the valve opens during the cake-discharge step,
washing is initiated
• Check the sprays daily to eliminate any blockages as soon as
they occur
• If any nozzle becomes blocked, first pull the whole spray pipe
out and then clean the blocked nozzle

 CLOTH WASH PIPELINE
• NEVER DRILL THE SPRAY NOZZLES!

• Drilling the blocked hole of a spray nozzle will alter the operation of
the spray and thereby reduce the effectiveness of filter-cloth washing
• When cleaning the nozzles, check that they are properly aligned,
using the grooves as guides
• When reinstalling the nozzles, make sure that the spray pipes are
properly aligned
• If the pressure difference between the two pressure gauges on the
filter cartridge exceeds 2 bar, this is an indication that the sieve is at
least partially blocked
• Remove and clean the sieve
• Proceed by opening the cartridge flange and pulling the sieve out of
the pipe
