The OBE

(Outcomes-
Based
Education)
Learning Outcomes
(ABCD Format)

The students can create two learning outcomes on each

educational objectives base from the three domains of
Bloom’s Taxonomy from the evaluated educational
objectives out of the selected subjects
Characteristics of OBE

1. SLO ( Student Learning Outcomes)

2. PO (Program Outcomes)
3. ILO (Intended Learning Outcomes)
Procedure in Implementing OBE

1. Identifying the EO (Educational Objectives) of the subject course.

- Broad goals for the subject/course to achieve.
- Stated from the teachers point of view.

Ex. To equip the students with knowledge and

understanding on human, environment and its
society.

2. Listing of LO (Learning Outcomes ) for each subject course

objectives.
- SMART L.O.

Types of Outcomes
1. Immediate Outcomes- are competencies acquired upon
completion.
Ex. Ability to communicate in writing and speaking
Graduation from a program
Mathematical problem solving skill
Passing a required licensure examination
2. Deferred Outcomes- refer to the ability to apply the 3H
in various situations many years after completion.
Ex. Promotion in a job
Awards and recognition
Success in Professional practice or occupation.
