SHUTTLE AND IT’S

BENEFITS
 The object of my presentation is “How NSU female students are benefited by
INTRODUCTION using shuttle for their transportation”.
Safe Transportation for woman in Bangladesh. Traveling to Dhaka on public
transportation has always been a dreadful experience in most of the women
in Bangladesh. According to a survey done by BRAC , 94% of Bangladeshi
women have been sexual harassment in public transportation at least once in
their lives.
So, where do women passengers go to get a safe transportation experience?
A new start-up named Shuttle is trying to answer this question. Shuttle is an
app-based pick-up and drop service for women that aims to provide safe,
comfortable and affordable transportation for women.

 BACKGROUND
• They start their service (15th july,2018).
• Currently, Shuttle serves over 7,000 females between the ages of 18 and 45, mostly
including college or university learners and working women.
• At present, they serve their clients using 11-seater, air-conditioned microbuses which
operate in six routes -- Dhanmondi to Bashundhara, Mirpur to Bashundhara, Mirpur-
Mohammadpur to Gulshan 1, Mohammadpur to Bashundhara, Uttara to Bashundhara,
and Dhanmondi to Rampura. Shuttle tries to introduce new routes every month.

HYPOTHESIS

Shuttle aims to solve woman transportation problem with their service.

They try to ensure safety, convenient drop and pick up points, comfortable
service through journey.

NSU female students also use Shuttle. So the transportation problem of

NSU female students faced earlier has been solved for using Shuttle and
the transportation system has now become convenient for NSU female
students.

For primary research – 30 respondents from NSU female students,
For secondary research – newspaper, journals,
books, websites & articles

• I'm collecting date in my survey question. This data was

collected from NSU female students only.
• A total of 30 female student were participate. This was an
online survey. Only NSU mail supported once.

• In the figure we can see 40% of female student of NSU using

shuttle for their transportation. Rest of the 60% participants
using other transportation.

In the figure shows shuttle service area frequency 70%. Rest of 30% areas
they are not available.

In the figure we can see 86.7% of participants never faces problem while
traveling. 13.3% participant faces problem while they traveling.

CONCLUSION

Shuttle has been especially helpful to students and office workers who have to travel far on a
daily basis for class or work. It is also very affordable compared to a CNG or Taxi, which makes
it a lifesaver for us daily commuters.

That is very innovative idea. Shuttle doing well in the future.
