CURRICULUM AND PEDAGOGY IN SCHOOLS:

and relevant to the developmental needs and interests of learners at different stages of
their development
 Till now in India the Curriculum look like this 10+ 2

Coding will be introduced in middle stage
• The medium of instruction untill grade 5, preferably till grade 8 will be local language.
• High Quality text books will be made available in home language
• Bilingual approach by teachers will be encouraged
TRANSFORMING ASSESSMENT FOR STUDENT
DEVELOPMENT
• The principle for assessment at all levels is to optimize learning and development
• Board exams for grade 10 & 12 will be continued but existing system will be redesigned
• For Setting norms, standards and guidelines for Student assessment. National assessment
center PARAKH (Performance Assessment Review and Analysis of Knowledge for
Holistic Development) is proposed to be set up.
• Olympiads in competition will be conducted at all stages
