requirements, because these products are aimed to conduct business
(transportation) or to be used by government (defense, space
program).

DIVERSIFICATION & INTEGRATION STRATEGY

• Diversification strategy – started as commercial and then diversified


into defense, space & security. They are also tapping the AI market.
• Integration strategy – in 2018 Boeing started its vertical integration
efforts by making its own flight control devices and composite wings.
• For this purpose it started a few join ventures with Safran and Aident.
They also opened their own lavatories and in-house avionics unit.
