1. Introduction to the Project
 1.1 Existing System

Multiplex Management System

The proposed project will be used in maintaining the data of all the movies &
ticket for the multiplex. It keeps the track of the movies so that the customer can
get the details of the movies in respect of ticket booking, booking time of the
movies & the upcoming movies. On the availability of the seats, ticket can be
booked in advanced and the customer may also cancel the ticket before the movie
starts. As there are three screens the customers have multiple choice of watching
the movies. It also keeps the track of seats book in advance & current status.
They can also get details of the ticket price.
 1.2 Need Of System
Goal of analyst here is recognition of basic problems elements as perceived by
the multiplex and understand software into the system context. In order to
identify the need there is need to establish multiplex customer and software
development organization. We should recognize the following need of the
customer coming in multiplex-

 1.3 Scope of System
 
• Fast and efficient communication with customer.
• Software can run on standalone/network Environment.
• It should help in maintaining the database of the movies and
tickets. The available computer, which is connected to the server, should be
able to answer the queries regarding seats available and movies.
• Stores the details of the tickets, when the customer book ticket for particular
movie.
• User will get tickets immediately after booking you can do current of
advance booking of ticket.
 1.4 Objectives Of System
• Cinema-going is one of the most popular out-of-home cultural
activities, affecting a serious of social, economic and cultural
phenomena in modern societies. Cinemas are considered to be an
integral part of cities and they contribute to the definition of a local
geography and identity.

• Through this project we present a comprehensive solution for ticket

booking in multiplexes. Theater management system, an online
ticket selling software that is easy to understand, easy to use and
offers the simplicity of fast point-and-click service to the customers.

• This powerful software program is specifically designed for theater

owners, to sell tickets online. Theater management controls all
back-end functionalities like, movie details, ticket rate and show
time, customer information and sales history saved in a database, etc.
Theater admin manages the report details like counter wise report,
daily, monthly report and movie report etc.

The feasibility of a project is being analyzed with some framework.

The most important factor is that if a project is feasible and desirable
then it include in the schedule of management so that approval can be
taken from same.
 4. Fact-Finding Technique

The functioning of the system is to be understood by the system analyst to

design the proposed system. Various methods are used for this and these are
known as fact-finding techniques. The analyst needs to fully understand the
current system.

The analyst needs data about the requirements and demands of the project
undertaken and the techniques employed to gather this data are known as fact-
finding techniques. Various kinds of techniques and the most popular among
them are interviews, questionnaires, record views, case tools and also the
personal observations made by the analyst himself.
