→Antonio Pigafetta was an Italian
scholar and explorer from the Republic
of Venice. He joined the expedition to
the Spice Islands led by Ferdinand
Magellan under the flag of King
Charles I of Spain and, after Magellan’s
death in the Philippines, the
subsequent voyage around the world.
→The primary reason of Antonio Pigafetta in
writing the document is to specifically furnishes
important details on the discovery of the Islands
and people inhabiting the place, these people
were to be the Filipino's great ancestors who
lives peacefully and with abundance in the area.

→The document was produce by an Italian


chronicler Francisco Antonio Pigafetta or also
known by the name of Antonio Lombardo and
was born in Vicenza around 1940 and died in
the same city in 1534.
→Upon the voyage, he took notes daily,
he mentioned when he realizes his
surprise at Spain and see that he had lost
a day (due to its driving direction).
→Pigafetta tells how, being in Barcelona
in 1519, he heard about Magellan's
expedition, and being wishful to learn
about the world, he asked for and obtained

exploration he DID PROVE that the
Earth is round. He established the first
route to the East that involved sailing to
the West.

place, theses people were to be Filipinos’

circumference of the Earth was longer
than what Columbus had estimated.
→The circumnavigation voyage of

our modern world socially,
environmentally and economically.

called a tool or decoration in the body of the
Filipinos. When they get spices in the
Philippines it seems like they are going to get
rich because spices that time is expensive.
And addition to that is they also want to
improve their economy their status in life
