 New Item Request
• Request Should Include:
– Functional Location Code (can be more than
one).
– Manufacturer part Name and Number.
– Drawing Numbers (if fabricated part).
– Recommended yearly usage.
 Material Registration Principles
• Materials that are exactly alike in form, fit, and
function will have the same material master
number in the GEPDB.
• The standards for data entry in the GEPDB are
contained in the document titled GEPDB
Material Documenter’s Handbook.
• New materials and changes to existing
materials must be reviewed by the Database
Administrators before the material or change is
released in the GEPDB.
 Material Types
• ERSA – Spare part used in maintenance
of the equipment
• HIBE – Operating supply
• PROC – Part meeting capital threshold but
being consumed within one year (Family
Care machine clothing, for example)
