someone in order to continue, to
work correctly, or to succeed.
m To trust someone to behave in a
particular way.

say, "Look at what's happened! This
is our God! We waited for Him and
and saved
us! This God, the One we waited
for! Let's celebrate, sing the joys of
His salvation. God's hand rests on
this mountain!"

In His kindness, God called you to
share in His eternal glory by means
of Christ Jesus. So after you have
suffered a little while,

place you on a firm foundation.

obeys his servant? If you are walking
in darkness, without a ray of light,

But watch out, you who live in your
own light and warm yourselves by
your own fires. This is the reward
you will receive from me: You will
soon fall down in great torment.

 This is what the LORD says: DzCursed
are those who put their trust in
mere humans, who rely on human
strength and turn their hearts away
from the LORD.
 They are like stunted shrubs in the

desert, with no hope for the future.


They will live in the barren
wilderness, in an uninhabited salty
land.

/ They are like trees planted along a
riverbank, with roots that reach
deep into the water. Such trees are
not bothered by the heat or worried
by long months of drought. Their
leaves stay green, and they never
stop producing fruit.

What sorrow awaits those who look
to Egypt for help, trusting their
horses, chariots, and charioteers
and depending on the strength of
human armies instead of 2!
h-#., the Holy One of
Israel.
Oor these Egyptians are mere
humans, 3Their horses
are puny flesh, not mighty spirits!
When the LORD raises His fist against
them, those who help will stumble,
and those being helped will fall.
They will all fall down and die
together.

Trust in the Lord, and do good;
Dwell in the land, and 
 ,Delight yourself
also in the Lord, ond He shall give
you the desires of your heart.
Commit your way to the Lord, Trust
also in Him, ond He shall bring it to
pass.
