Um… ok. Basically a name given to it by an author of a news article that stuck!

What is it really? Our 4 chords I-V-vi-IV in a different order, implying the relative minor.

The new order is: vi-IV-I-V.

TASK: Input this sequence into Chord Chord.

EXTENSION: Do this in two more keys.

 ACTIVITY - THE MAIN TASK:
Objective: To create and perform a medley (MASH UP) of
four-chord songs as a band.
1. Form a band with 4-5 of your classmates
2. Assign instruments and vocal roles - you must have at least one singer.
3. Choose a starting song and find the resources you need to perform this.
4. Consider key - will you move the song down in pitch to make the chords
easier? How with this affect the vocals?
5. Decide how much of the song you need to learn and practice until it is
ready to perform.
6. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until you have a medley lasting 2+mins

3. TYPE THESE INTO THE GROUP SHEET HERE
4. Choose your first song and source your materials - check out the resources
on the next page.
5. Type the name of the first song into the row at the bottom of your group on
the google sheet.
6. Set a reminder to bring any instruments/resources that you will need for
our next lesson.
