R Media is the various means of mass communication. It can
vary from electronic media to print media. Media consumes
the lives of everyone especially students. Media usage to
students is most spent on personal and educational
interests. It has become a big part of their lifestyle because
most of their daily tasks has the need to consume media like
study and leisure. Students go where media are and they
are attracted to it because there is something with media
that is very relevant to their lives. Students consume media
almost everyday and it became their habit to use it. With
technology, it has powered the usage of media among
students.

answers and the respondents only have to check the item
that approximates their answer.

R The 2-page questionnaires were given to 100 PUP
students. The questionnaires were distributed to each
year level (1st year to 4th year) consisting of 25
respondents.
R After the respondents have answered it, questionnaires
were collected and tabulated in a tally sheet.
R Obtained data were analyzed and arranged using tables
and interpreted using a graph to compare data.

R The research focused on the media habits of PUP
students, their most used media, how they use the
media and how much time they spend on it. Only
100 students from PUP (1st year to 4th year), school
year 2010-11 were involved. The study includes
limitation of the respondents number and it was only
conducted on an average school day. Also media
usage patterns of students are changing. „espite the
limitations, the survey suggests a rational and logical
truth in the behavior of students which is commonly
used to describe them nowadays.
