Scripture: Philippians 3: 10
 I. TO KNOW JESUS CHRIST
Ampl: [For my determined purpose is] that I may
know Him, that I may progressively become more
deeply and intimately acquainted with Him
perceiving and recognizing and understanding
the wonders of His Person more strongly and
more clearly. And that I may in that same way
come to know the power outflowing from His
resurrection [which it exerts over believers]; and
that I may so share His sufferings as to be
continually transformed in spirit into His likeness
even to His death, [in the hope].

Theme of the book:
 Joy of Christian grace
 Experience in all of life and death
Paul himself demonstrated the greatest joy in the greatest suffering
and humiliation
So, Christians are to rejoice in:
1. Fellowship with one another
2. Affliction of the gospel
3. The ministry for the saints
4. Faithfulness of the ministers
5. The Lord not in religion, flesh, riches, ….
6. Unity
7. Always in all things

When God tells me to meditate, He is telling me to
do three things:
1. Ponder: seriously think about this truth and try
to understand what God is saying to me
personally
2. Picture: From a mental picture of this truth, see
myself in the picture and imagine my response
3. Pray: talk to God about applying this truth. Pray
this truth back to God as my personal prayer
