Connect the OMT tool to the RBS and Monitor for any Fault Codes

Procedure to Attend VSWR Limit exceeded Fault Code

No

Whether Fault Code # 8 present? Yes Go to Radio view and select Faults To get the Faulty modules

Select the Antennas port cables which Were shown in red marks and choose Those Particular RF cables for diagnosis

Put all the TRUs connected to the Selected cable into Local mode

Remove the respective indoor jumper of that Antenna cable Connect the Site Master tool and measure the VSWR value

Check the cable connecting the CDU Output to the Cabinet Top and replace if found faulty

Connect the Site master tool to the RF Feeder cable indoor end and measure The VSWR value

Whether The VSWR is Ok Or Not? Not Ok

Ok

Replace the Indoor Jumper and Measure the VSWR value

Check up the indoor RF connectors and replace/reconnectorize if found faulty

Swap the outdoor Jumper at the Antenna end within the sector

Not Ok

Whether The VSWR is Ok Or Not?

Ok

Now measure the VSWR values of both the cables of the same sector

Now whether the old cable is having high VSWR or the newly swapped cable

New cable

Antenna port is faulty hence replace the Antenna

Old Cable

Replace the Outdoor Jumper of that Cable and Measure the VSWR value

Whether The VSWR is Ok Or Not? Not Ok

Ok

Check for the Outdoor RF connectors of that cable and replace/reconnectorize if required

Now Confirm the VSWR Value again and connect the cables to the cabinet ports and bring the TRUs Into operation

Carry out the Preventive Maintenance and Leave the site

End
