ROM (Read only Memory) is a Non volatile memory that stores the Basic Input Output System (BIOS) program and the hardware settings.

RAM (Random Access Memory) is a volatile memory used for storing the user data temporarily when the CPU is processing information.

RAM is of two types

Static RAM (SRAM) used as Cache Memory Dynamic RAM (DRAM). DRAM used as main system 11 memory
