HS-SCCH codes: 3 Versus 4

A trial has been completed to estimate the gain or loss when implementing HS-SCCH=3 & 4

Summary
The trial was conducted on 2 sites :
F1128: low load site F1415: high load site

The change from HS-SCCH =4 to 3 was implemented on July 26th We observe a significant gain in HS throughput in case of high load site in both cell and user levels Only the KPIs with relevant variation will be described in next slides

Conclusion
The gain is showing in a more evident way for the high load site The DT is showing very good improvement for HS user throughput in high loaded site We observed an increase of HS throughput in both cell and user levels when decreasing the HS-SCCH to 3 in high load site
