Interview with Decloedt Kristof
• 1.What inspires you to keep creating one piece after another?
• The satisfaction for myself, because creating those pieces are asking time and effort but in the
end you have a nice finished artwork, it makes me feel good.

• 2. What tools do you use in order to make your art?

• It depends, but most of the programs I use are Photoshop, cinema4D, illustrator sometimes I
pencil art in front of it when doing a vector piece.

• 3. When did you begin doing digital art and why?

• About 4-5 years ago, I had to make a decision for like school and so then by browsing the
internet and finding DeviantART, I had the solution! I was going to study something with
multimedia, because I had already had a small knowledge of Photoshop and so everything did
go on, and I learned more about Photoshop, illustrator, flash, etc..... and so now. At the
moment I'm working in Ghent, Belgium at BeforeTheHype.

• 4. Did you have any special training (classes and such) before you began doing what you
do or did you merely practice and explore on your own.
• I did college or university ( I don't know what it is in your language), I had education for 3
years and it was called Multimedia and Communication Technology and all the rest I know is
self-exploration.

• 5. What tips/advice would you give to an aspiring graphic artist? (could be anything from
"what not to do" or "what things to try", etc)
• don't work on a small canvas, keep everything high quality and last but not least, don't go
stealing artwork, let yourself be inspired by someone but always make your own concept
about it.
