Brbraitt Campus

BRBRAITT

is one of the premier institutes of BSNL, imparting training in various fields like latest technologies in field of telecommunications, computer networking, accounting, management, providing competency and skills to meet the ever-changing needs of esteemed customers.

BRBRAITT Mission: To Deliver Quality Training to the best of participants satisfaction. To Deliver Excellence Through Training. Quality Policy:"The management, the faculty and the staff of BRBRAITT affirm their commitment to impart quality training to all its values customers and to ensure to optimally utilize the resources of the institute. For this, every faculty and individual of BRBRAITT will abide by the ISO 9001:2008 ' Quality Management System' standards and will demonstrate its compliance in all areas of activities."

When it comes to connecting the four corners of the nation, and much beyond, one solitary name lies embedded at the pinnacle - BSNL. The products and services are as follows: Data One ISDN Web Hosting MPLS-VPN Web Co- location Wi-Fi Leased Line

The

technology used in the BSNL Broadband services is known as ADSL. ADSL (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) is an asymmetrical technology, thatallows more bandwidth downstream than upstream. (Normally download speed will be 6 times more than the upload speed)

WiMAX

is a standards-based wireless technology that provides high-throughput broadband connections over long distances. WiMAX systems can be used to transmit signal as far as 30 miles. EVDO (also spelled EV-DO) stands for Evolution-Data Optimized. It is a telecommunications standard for transmitting digital data through radio signals and hence is used for wireless Internet access.

have completed my Vocational Training (V.T) of four weeks w.e.f 27-062011 to 22-07-2011, at BRBRAITT, Jabalpur (M.P). Every day there was a training schedule for duration of 3 hours i.e. from 10:00 am to 13:00 pm. In this time interval there were classes conducted also some days were kept for visits to the well equipped labs.

Broadband Multiplay: This service means providing the services to the customer as Data (Internet), Voice (VoIP and not the PSTN which is already provided on broadband also), Video (IPTV, VoD or in general live broadcast and stored broadcasting using video streaming protocols). Call processing in GSM: Call processing means: The sequence of operations performed by a switching system from the acceptance of an incoming call through the final disposition of the call. The end-toend sequence of operations performed by a network from the instant a call attempt is initiated until the instant the call release is completed.

CDMA: CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) is a form of multiplexing, which allows numerous signals to occupy a single transmission channel, optimizing the use of available bandwidth. The technology is used in ultra-high-frequency (UHF) cellular telephone systems in the 800-MHz and 1.9-GHz bands. DWDM: DWDM is the short form of Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing. DWDM is an important technology in nowadays fiber optic network. The wavelengths are in the range of 1530nm to 1610nm range with a very narrow separation between the wavelengths. Nowadays, the word WDM often refers to the DWDM systems.

FTTH: FTTH (Fibre to the Home) Provides enormous bandwidth and long reach offering multi-play services (Data, Voice, Video etc.) on a single fiber. GSM: GSM, or Global System for Mobile Communications, is a cellular phone protocol that is popular in many parts of the world. The GSM network is divided into three subsystems: 1. Network Switching Subsystem (NSS) 2. Base Station System (BSS) 3. Network Management System (NMS)

3G: Third generation systems are designed for multimedia communications; with them person to person communication can be enhanced with high quality images and video, and access to information and services on public and private networks will be enhanced by higher data rates (384 kbps- 14.4 mbps). IP addressing: AnInternet Protocol address(IP address) is a numerical label assigned to each device (e.g., computer, printer) participating in acomputer networkthat uses the Internet Protocolfor communication.

Next Generation Network: -Packet based networkIntegrated and converged network for all the existing services, plus innovative services.Unrestricted access to customers-Service related functions independent from underlying transport related technologies.-Layered architecture with functional planes separated by open interfaces.-Multi service network. Optical Fibre Cable: Anoptical fiber cableis a cablecontaining one or moreoptical fibers. The optical fiber elements are typically individually coated with plastic layers and contained in a protective tube suitable for the environment where the cable will be deployed. Data rate is up to 1 Gbps.

Overview of PDH & SDH: PDH: Plesiochronous Digital Hierarchy is a technology used intelecommunications networksto transport large quantities of data over digital transport equipment such asfiber opticandmicrowave radiosystems. SDH: SDH (Synchronous Digital Hierarchy) is an international standard for high speed telecommunicationover optical/electrical networks which can transport digital signals in variable capacities. It is a synchronous system which intends to provide a more flexible, yet simple network infrastructure. TCP/IP: TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) is the basic communication language or protocol of the Internet.

During the duration of project report preparation period I had also prepared a project report on INSTALLING AND CONFIGURING PHP OVER IIS SERVER. The short summary about our project is that as many of us use PHP in windows platform and transfer the data / files to remote server. The advantage of PHP is, it works equally well in Win platform also. There are different ways to install PHP in a windows platform. Here is one of the way which will give us an idea how the web IIS server get configured for running any scripts like PHP. The same technique can be used to run any other script. This for configuring IIS to execute a script based on different file extensions it receives.

The whole procedure to install and configure PHP on IIS server is given by the following steps: Step1 Download and Extract PHP 5. Step2 Set Your Environment Variables. Step3 Set the PHP Application Mapping in IIS. Step4 Configure PHP.ini. Step5 Restart and Verify (testing).

The training season was very educational and informative. This BRBRAITT have good harmonic relationship and co-ordination between the staff members.
