The situation
Clover Park School District operates 7 elementary schools on JBLM
2 on McChord Field (owned by U.S. Dept. of Education) 4 on Lewis Main (3 owned by U.S. Dept. of Education, 1 by U.S. Army) 1 on Lewis North (owned by U.S. Dept. of Education)

On-base schools serve all K-5 students residing on JBLM


276 children living off-base, attend on base CPSD schools and are part of the before and/or after school MWR programs

6 of the 7 were built between 1950 and 1962, 1 was built in 1991 On-Base schools are over 100% of capacity and are projected to be 116% of capacity by FY13, 124% by FY18

Our priorities

Construct a new 450 student elementary school on JBLM Lewis-North Consolidate Greenwood & Clarkmoor into a new 650 student school Replace Hillside elementary school with a new 650 student facility Replace Beachwood elementary school with a 450 student facility Consolidate Carter Lake and Heartwood into a new 500 student school Replace Evergreen elementary school with a new 700 student facility

Modernization was reviewed by the Red Team, however due to cost comparisons, it was determined that replacement was the preferred solution.

Our priorities were: Construct a new 450 student elementary school on JBLM Lewis-North 3. Consolidate Greenwood and Clarkmoor into one new 650 student school (#13, 16)

1. Replace Hillside elementary school with a new 650 student facility (#2)
Replace Beachwood elementary school with a 450 student facility (#19) 2. Consolidate Carter Lake and Heartwood into one new 500 student school (#5)

Replace Evergreen elementary school with a new 700 student facility (#29)
