STUDY ON DISTRIBUTION CHANNEL AND PREFERENCE OF TEA FOR PARRY AGRO INDUSTRIES LIMITED

Objectives
Primary objective To determine the preference level of the

distributors towards the consumption of tea and ideas for launching a new brand to improve their performance through questionnaires.

Secondary objectives: To analyze the preference of various tea products among the distributors and study about the channel of distribution. To identify the preferred product and its

consumption quantity To find the satisfaction level of distributors with regard to the brand. To ascertain the factors influencing in choosing the brand.

Need
To understand the requirement of distributors and the channel in consumption of tea. As tea

is one of the important beverage among the people in India . The study is to know the channel of distributors and the preference of the new brand. This study helps to know the fast moving brand among the customers and also the profitability in the brand.

Profit maximization is dependent on consumer satisfaction, and marketers have to know

about where they shop, what produce or service the consumer , how did the market respond to any brand launch etc. As parry is at a urge of introducing tea products in their own brand name ,so it is highly necessary to analyze its market .This study will them out in success for their new brand.

This research will help the parry in launching a new

Limitations
The Sample size of the study is limited to 75. The study is restricted to the geographical

limits of Sankarankovil , srivi , rajapayam and surroundings .


Personal bias and prejudice of respondents

could have affected the result of the study.

redefining the problem, formulating hypothesis or suggesting solution, organizing and evaluating data, making decision and reaching conclusion and at last carefully testing the conclusion to determine whether they fit the formulated hypothesis

agro industries ltd, Data has been collected after studying the various activities that undergoes in the functioning of the company. The study was conducted on the different activities that are taking place in an organization on a day to day basis.

Primary Data: Primary Data are the actual information which is collected by researcher for study from the actual field of research. This data is attained by means of questionnaires and schedules. Secondary Data : The secondary data are collected through two types of sources. The first source i.e., personal documents such as diaries etc & other sources are the public documents such as books, records etc.

Sample Size The data is collected from 75

intermediaries from the districts of Tirunelveli, sankarankovil, srivi, rajapalyam.

FINDINGS
It is found that the wholesalers and retailers

are highly satisfied towards services provided by company. They prefer this company due to the well after sales services. It is found that totally 82% of intermediaries are highly satisfied with the organizations services and 18% are moderately satisfied.

Parry agro industries ltd has efficient

emergency order handling capacity and optimum level of buffer stock .The distributors and retailers are given more discounts when compared to that of wholesalers. The intermediaries who have newly entered in business and those who are in business for a very long period are highly satisfied with its services.

suggestions
The company should focus on the

wholesalers and conduct effective training programs for them. The company should consider providing longer credit terms to the wholesalers. The company should take measures to enhance the relationship between intermediaries who are in business for more than 5 years and less than 20 years,

conclusions
This project is done Parry agro industries ltd. This study helps to gain knowledge about the different perception of intermediaries towards the organization. One month project study at Parry agro industries has given the researcher a good platform to know this ceramic Industry. Thus the researchers conclude on a prosperous future to the organization.
