MICRO SHOCK
• Micro shock is a much more serious hazard than
macro shock.
• It applies to every patient who has a lead or electrical
conductor from the interior of the heart
• Minimization of micro shock requires a carefully
designed and controlled electrical environment for the
patient.
• For the patient safety any current passing through a
patient should be limited to less than 5 mV
