Introduction

Internetworking is the livewire of todays world, it has ushered in a whole new era of evolution, that has brought about a sea of change to this New World. With the advent of new concepts and technologies, the whole world has been linked into one single cobweb of information This project is classified into two main modules namely Administrator Module and User Module The Administrator is given with all the permissions to add new buses, change the bus routes, remove the bus from database and he can make any modifications to the database which is having the details of all the buses

The User or Employee has the provision to add their report, delete a report and update the reports. And also they can view the view the reports based on their daily basis, bus basis and for all the buses. This project can be implemented in any type of Transport Corporation which helps them to make their workflow in a centralized manner.

Existing System

The Current system had employed a lot of resource to handle BMTC situation. A lot of time consuming paper was done for simple issues . An employee had to get all the information needed for route by coming only to BMTC office. The daily reports should have been submitted by physically coming to office. Distributed data across the network.

Proposed System

Centralized Data. Reducing the number of employees employed for the job. Reduced paper work. The employees may need not come to office regularly to get the updates. All the information about the routes , buses etc., are readily available to any laymen.

Future Enhancement
Ensure process time and increase throughput. Simplifies the operation. Avoid some manual work in the existing system. Reduce data redundancy and inconsistency. User friendly input screens to enter data.

Conclusion

The BANGALORE METROPOLITAN TRANSPORT CORPORATION has been developed to overcome the problem faced in the present system. The developed package was found to work out the operation effectively. The objectives of the system have been achieved. A consistent and efficient system has been successfully developed, implemented and tested. The system has been developed using J2EE and MS ACCESS under Windows 2000. The system is very flexible and user friendly. So further changes can be incorporated into the system easily.
