INTRODUCTIO N
Time - terrible resource to waste. Project Time Management (PTM) - The time of the project manager - Time management of the project team. Scheduling - The easiest way of managing project time.

DEFINITION
TIME MANAGEMENT of exercising The act or process
conscious control over the amount of time spent on specific activities, especially to increase efficiency or productivity.

PROJECT TIME MANAGEMENT (PTM)


A subset of project management that includes the processes required to ensure timely completion of the project.

PROCESS INVOLVED
i. Define Activities
- Process to identify specific actions that need to be performed to produce project deliverables. - Output : 0 Activity list 0 Activity attribute 0 Milestone list

ii. Sequence Activities


- Process to identifies and documents relationships among project activities.

iii. Estimate Activity Resources


- Process to estimates the types and quantities of materials, people, equipment or supplies required to perform each activity.

iv. Estimate Activity Durations


- Estimates the amount of work effort required and the amount of resources.

v. Develop Schedule
- Analyzes activity sequences, resource requirements and schedule constraints to create the project schedule. - Tools & Technique : Critical Path Method

vi.Schedule Control
Involved with determining the current status of the project schedule and influences factors that create schedule changes.

RELATIONSHIP TIME WITH COST, SCOPE & QUALITY IN PROJECT

Two situations in project time management:

(I) PROJECT IS COMPLETELY EARLIER


Effects:

- Cost : Increase cost/Maintain budget - Scope : Maintain/reduce scope - Quality : Output more in poor quality (II) PROJECT IS EXCEED OF THE TIME RESPECTED
Effects:

- Cost : Cost-overrun - Scope : Increase - Quality : Output in better quality BUT not

REASON WHY PROJECT ARE NOT COMPLETED ON TIME & WITHIN COST
Poor morale Poor human relation Poor labor productivity No commitment by those involve in the project

CONCLUSIO N
Time management is a key responsibility of a project manager. Time management is very important to make sure: - more efficient - more in control - more fulfilled - more energy - develop more qualities - achieve what you want to and need to -- faster
