information is provided

CORRECTS- when something isnt done correctly or


efficiently enough

FEEDBACK- necessary for improving systems, policies &


relationships

POWER OF INFLUENCE- helps subordinates or peers


to improve their knowledge or skills

High level of understanding & transparency

No element of rigidity
Promotes quick decision making

Time saving & economical


Essential for team-work Best for transfer of private & confidential message

Source/Sender- the source initiates the


communication process

Message- an idea, concept, emotion, desire, or


feeling that a person desires to share

Channel- means by which a message moves


from a person to another. Receiver/Destination- The receiver gets the message

Noise- any interference in the communication


process

Feedback- the desired response from the receiver Encoding/ Decoding- the speaker converting
thoughts into a message and the receiver interpreting the same and responding to it

INTEGRITY- Be respectful to the listener VOICE- Sounding pleasant while speaking is a must VOLUME- Adjust the volume of your voice
according to the environment

PITCH- Varying the pitch is highly preferred

RATE OF SPEECH- Better to be slow than


lose clarity

PRONUNCIATION- Required to identify the


difference between two similar sounding words

ACCENT- Should be agreed to by the listener DICTION- Appropriate word at the right time

MAINTAIN EYE CONTACT DO NOT DRAW ATTENTION TO YOUR OWN DRAWBACKS
