Education in India is provided by public sector as well as private sector. Funds come from federal, state and local levels. Education in India falls under the control of both the Union Government and the states. The Nalanda University is the oldest University system in the world.

Open Education

The Distance Education Council (DEC), an authority of IGNOU(Indira Gandhi National Open University) is co-coordinating 13 State Open Universities

Government provides work to people and they have to send there children to schools. Basically, Government provides financial aid n education to the poor people.

Ek Se Padhe Do
Under this project children of poor people can study in municipal schools. Teaching is done in such manner that students from such schools can teach their parents so they can have basic reading & writing knowledge.
