Based on a survey of more than 125,000 employees in 75 countries over the past five quarters, the Corporate Executive Board found:

A 20% increase in observations of misconduct from the first to the second half of 2008

A 5% decline in frontline employee perceptions of senior management's commitment to integrity

A 10% increase in the number of disengaged employees, from one in ten to one in five, causing declines in companywide productivity of up to 5%

Set-up a well equipped modern school in association with DPS at Maruti Kunj (Bhondsi), Gurgaon. DPS Maruti Shiksha Kendra, an education programme for the underprivileged, was inaugurated at DPS, Maruti Kunj.
The objective of his project is to educate the children of below poverty line (BPL) families.

Health

WHARF (Wockhardt-HMI HIV/AIDS Education and Research Foundation) is a platform for clinicians, nurses, and counsellors to acquire knowledge in the areas of their specialisation relating to HIV/AIDS. The objective is to scale up training of healthcare providers on using global standards in HIV/AIDS management and to work with them on overcoming attitudinal and economic barriers.

Women Empowerment

Walmart Foundation and humanitarian organisation CARE launched Women's empowerment initiative in Bangladesh factories. It will provide 2,500 female factory workers in the country's apparel sector with workplace skills and literacy training. Technical training will focus on providing the workers with design, sewing, equipment handling and other relevant onthe-job technical skills.

Self Reliance

SWAVALAMBAN : Vocational training for unemployed youths. Its objective is to provide free Vocational Training to 550 beneficiaries from low income group households. HPCL and CII have joined hands along with M/s City & Guilds to impart training to youths and change them into useful professionals.

Environment & Natural Resources

Making technology that ensures energy economy, environmental safeguards, recycling of resources and utilization of wastes. Releases of hydrocarbons, chemicals and other harmful materials being controlled so that it does not disturb the flora and fauna. Environmental impact assessment, with the details required by the "Department of Environment" has been prepared

Rural Development

Setting up of milk districts in India, Pakistan, China, Morocco, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Indonesia. Pakistan: 5,000 female agriculturalextension workers trained with UNDP.
