AY MISSION: The salvation of youth through Jesus Christ. We understand youth ministry to be that work of the church that is conducted for, with, and by young people.
AY AIM: The Advent message to all the world in my generation. AY MOTTO: The love of Christ constrains me.
AY PLEDGE: Loving the Lord Jesus, I promise to take an active part in the youth ministry of the church, doing what I can to help others and to finish the work of the Gospel in all the world.
Through the Bible great importance is placed on the youth If it was not important, perhaps the age or the youthfulness of the people involved would not be mentioned
The Seventh-day Adventist Church Today Pastor Jan Paulsen, President of the General Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, in one his Lets Talk televised conversations with young people, mentioned that 70% of the membership of the church today is age 35 or less He projected that by the year 2020, if Jesus has not come, seventy (70) percent of the members of our worldwide church will be young people twenty five years old or less.
Young people made an impact in the past of our church, young people are the majority of the church of the present, and if trained right and given the opportunity to share in the ministry and leadership, are a very powerful driving force and the largest group in the future of our church.
A church without young people and children is doomed to be erased from the face of this earth.
Throughout history God has used young people for the advancement of His Kingdom. The church needs young people. Successful secular organizations employ young people because they want to be ahead of the game; the best example is the United States Military. They want to win.
Satan knows this and he wants to do away with the children, youth, and young adults of the church. He knows if he disables us, the youth of this church, he will cripple the present and the future of Adventism.
I am not advocating separatism from adults. The church in order to triumph, under the guidance and empowerment of the Holy Spirit must work together. Young People and Adults Together we must finish the gospel, but its got to be together.
We need Adventist Youth Ministries to inspire, to train, to provide resources, and to deploy young people to work in our churches and outside of our churches, in our churches communities, for GOD. As a result we will have more young people joining us, and more young people staying faithfully, active, and in leadership at our churches.
Let us UNITE together and ORGANIZE our District AY Federation. Join US for this cause.
