Welcome to IB Program

The International Baccalaureate Program was founded in Geneva, Switzerland in 1968 as a nonprofit educational organization.

A group of forward-thinking teachers at the International School of Geneva, with help from other international schools, created the IB Diploma Program.

What began as a single university preparation program for internationally mobile evolved into a three programs for scholars ages 3-19.

Although the first IB schools were mainly private international schools, currently over half of the IB World Schools are state schools.

I.B Program Curriculum

I.B Curriculum
I.B. program works with 3,301 schools in 141 countries
presenting the three I.B. programee- primary years, middle years and diploma programee having approximately 968,00 students.

I.B. Curriculum
consist of 6 different subjects
3 core opportunities which are: Theory of knowledge (TOK) Extended essay Creative, action and service (CAS)

Group 1: Studies in language and literature Group 2: Language Acquisition

Group 3: Individuals and Societies

Group 4: Experimental Sciences

Group 5: Mathematics and Computer Science

Group 6: The Arts

The

IB program allows for a unified, intelligible approach without constraining the creativity and the distinctive perspectives of the educators and students.

All IB teachers have access to an online curriculum center, a professional development and resource center with a large panel of subject area experts as well as an online forum for communicating with other IB educators around the world.

this program is introduced into public schools, it promotes access to underprivileged students.

Julie Payette
In June 1992, she was selected by the Canadian Space Agency from 5,330 applicants to become one of four astronauts sent out to space. After years of training and outstanding accomplishments, Ms. Payette served as Chief Astronaut for the Canadian Space Agency (2000-2007)

Kim Jong-un
Son of Kim Jong-Il, the current dictator of North Korea. He attended International School of Berne, Switzerland and is currently next in line to become dictator of his fathers country.

Ian Khama
Current President of Botswana.

Akihiko Hoshide
He is currently a highly recognized astronaut for the Japan Society for Aeronautical and Space Sciences.

Mohamed Naheed
Current President of the Maldives
