Tourism is travel for recreational, leisure or business purposes. The WORLD TOURISM ORGANISATION(WTO) defines tourists as people who "travel to and stay in places outside their usual environment for more than twenty-four (24) hours and not more than one consecutive year for leisure, business and other purposes not related to the exercise of an activity remunerated from within the place visited. Tourism comprises the activities of persons travelling to and staying in places outside there usual environment for not more than one consecutive year for:1. Leisure. 2. Recreation. 3. Business and other purposes..

Types of Tourism
As World Tourism Organisation suggested there are only Three types of Tourism exists:1. Domestic tourism. 2. Inbound tourism. 3. outbound tourism.

The travel and tourism industry is fascinating with its aura of international glamour and excitement because of its global scope. Tourism industry and its growth in the 21st century is phenomenal. We have to keep place with infrastructural changes and take necessary steps to make the stay of foreign tourist as comfortable as possible.
