BACKGROUND
According to Celce-Murcia (2001: 187) Reading is assumed to be the central means for learning new information and gaining access to alternative explanations and interpretations.
According to Richard ( 1979:238) reading comprehension is perceiving a written text in order to understand its contents.
The writer chose ERRQ in this research because ERRQ is the best strategy to guide the students in comprehending the texts, the writer want to make the students be active in learning reading subject.

Methode of Research
Techniques for Collecting Data
the writer will use true experimental design especially pretest-posttest control group design. The design can be diagrammed as follows (Sugiono, 2011: 159):
Treatment Group

test
There are two kinds of test which will be used by the writer. They are: a.The first one is pre-test b. The second one is post-test
The writer will use the written test in the form of multiple choice and true false questions. The test consist of 30 multiple choice items and 10 true false items. The students will be given 40 minutes to do the test.

Richards,Platt and Weber (1985:61) state that validity is the degree to which a test measures what it is supposed to measure, or can be used successfully for the purposes for which it is intended.

Reliability
Reliability Richards, Platt, and Weber (1985:243) reliability is a measure of the degree to which a test gives consistent results.
In this research the internal consistency of reliability will be estimated through the Kuder-Richardson Reliaability Coefficient as follows:
K R =2 1

Where:
KR21
K = Number of the items in the test M = Mean of the set of the Raw Scores SD = Standard Deviation
