History and milestones :

86:-Ambuja Cements' first cement manufacturing plant at Ambujanagar, Gujarat worth 0.7 million tonnes capacity commences production 96-97:-Achieves highest-ever export by an Indian cement company: 5.33 lac tons of cement and clinker are exported. 00-01:-Cranking up the pace again, work begins on a two-million tonnes capacity plant at Chandrapur district, Maharashtra. 09:-The Company launched its knowledge initiative i.e. Ambuja Knowledge Center,to enable industry professionals get a first-hand feel of the world of cement and concrete.
