Objectives of the study


General Objective:
The main objective of the study is to examine and evaluate the customer preference and satisfaction in Nepalese Telecom industry.

Specific objectives of the study:
To analysis the service quality of the telecom service provider. 2. To obtain a comprehensive overview of GSM mobile customer satisfaction of the Nepalese Telecom industry. 3. To indentify the Factors influencing customer satisfaction. 4. To suggest some improvement on service quality of Telecom industry in Nepal.

Research Hypotheses
H1: .There is no association between service quality

of Telecom operators and customer satisfaction.

Limitations of the study:


The usual limitations of resources in terms of money and time at the

disposal of the researcher have contributed to limit the scope of the study. The present study is limited in Mid-western region. In this region three major GSM mobile phone are Nepal telecom Ncell and Nepal Satellite Companies are providing their services but Nepal satellite company coverage only mountain and hilly of mid-western Nepal. Considering the time and other factors as constrains study was limited and first time research in Nepal. There is no available literature on customer satisfaction of the telecoms industry in Nepal. This study is based on the prevailing customers satisfaction. But the customers satisfaction may change according to time, fashion and technology development etc.

Statement of Research Problem


However the following question may arise regarding customer satisfaction. Does the mobile phone industry satisfy the social responsibility? What are all expectations by the customers regarding service provided by the mobile phone service provider? Whether the service provided by GSM phone industry is satisfying the customers? Are the facilities available adequate to preference and satisfy the customers?

Research Design: - Cross sectional research design: one-shot study - Mix research method: Qualitative and quantitative - Analytical and descriptive research methodology
Sampling Design: - Stratified sampling: 3 strata- Banke, Dang and Jumla - Simple random sampling to choose respondents

Planning of analysis of data


Templates will be made on excel as per the

questionnaire They will be coded for data entry Data will be entered in excel sheets Raw data and recorded data will be verified Excel data will be exported to SPSS Relevant statistics will be performed to handle data error The result will be analyzed.

Plan about time scheduling of research


Literature review: up to 6 months from the date of RDC

Finalizing questionnaire and field visit: up to 12 months


Field visit and data analysis: up to 18 months Finalizing report and submission: up to 24 months
