Ju...vizualizați mai multeA member of the legal profession for more than 40 years, Judge Harry Field has served as a private-practice attorney, educator, magistrate, and municipal judge in northern Ohio. Judge Field is a native of Willoughby Hills, where his family moved during the Civil War. Recently he earned election to the Willoughby Municipal Court with endorsements from key officials. Taking office on January 1, 2012, Judge Harry Field envisions connecting more police departments with video teleconferencing. He also hopes to establish a Veterans Court to address such issues as substance abuse, mental health, and post-traumatic stress disorder.
After studying economics at the Ohio State University, Judge Harry Field earned his law degree at Case Western Reserve University School of Law in Cleveland. He established his private practice in 1971, representing clients in a broad spectrum of cases, including domestic relations, personal injury, criminal, and bankruptcy. Judge Field also took on real estate, corporate, estate planning and probate matters. In 1983, he first became part time acting judge at the Willoughby Municipal Court.
For eight years, Judge Field acted as a full-time magistrate for the Willoughby Municipal Court, where he became Chief Magistrate. He holds memberships in the Lake County and Ohio State Bar Associations, the Northern Ohio Municipal Judges Association, the American Judges Association, the Association of Municipal/County Judges of Ohio, and the Ohio Judicial Conference. Sharing his expertise, Judge Harry Field previously taught courses related to real estate law and legal aspects of fire technology at Lakeland Community College.vizualizați mai puține
