She currently writes for the Glenview Lantern newspaper published weekly in Illinois, USA for the column 'Poet's corner'. Recently she had received a brilliant feedback from her readers in the Glenview Lantern newspaper as, 'Beautiful thoughts Shri Nitya! Thank you so much for expressing them – this is what gives strength to the world.' She had been writing since her days in school and the major source of inspiration that she finds for her writing are the letters received from honorable former President of India, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and honorable former Prime minister of India Mr. Atal Bihari Vajpayee. When she had sent patriotic poems to them inspired by their address to nation, they had replied through postal mails.She also finds the belief and trust of her father in her creativity and poems as a great inspiration to go towards the publishing dream. Apart from writing, she is interested in travel, yoga, photography, adventure, science, health, beauty and psychology. She is a software engineer by profession.
