Teacher: LUCICA NACHE School: GRUP SCOLARAL.ODOBESCU Date: 22nd March Class: the 9TH Level: intermediate Lesson: Indirect Speech Textbook: Skills:Listening,reading,speaking,writing Materials:textbook, blackboard, wall pictures Lesson aims: 1) to arouse interest 2) to learn about degrees of comparison 3) to introduce the synthetical, analytical and irregular compatison 4) to consolidate comparison of adjectives using different types of exercises Classroom organization: teacher checks the absents and prepare the class for lesson Timing: 2 Activity 1 Check-up period Teacher asks Ss to tead their homeork. Ss read their homeork. Timing: 3 Activity 2 Aims: to introduce the students into the atmosphere of the lesson Procedure: Students are asked to prepare their English books and notebooks. Teacher writes at the blackboard the title of the lesson: Comparison of Adjectives. Students note on their notebook Interaction: T-Ss Timing:

Activity 3 Aim: to learn about the degrees of comparison to introduce the synthetical, analytical and irregular comparison Procedure: Teacher explains and writes on the blackboard the degrees of comparison, the synthetical, analytical and irregular comparison. Sts note on their notebook. Interaction: T-Ss Timing: 15 Activity 4 Aim: to practice comparison of adjectives Procedure: Teacher gives to students worksheets and asks them to fill in the table and the blanks with the comparative and superlative forms of the given adjectives. Ss complete the task. Together will discuss the answers. Interaction: Timing: Activity 5 Aim: to make prediction To extract information from a listened text Procedure: Teacher asks Ss to read items 1 to 6 from the exercise 16. Teacher asks Ss to predict the answers. Ss listen to the tape, while listening They have to do the exercise. Teacher checks Ss answers by playing the tape again with pauses. Interaction: Timing: Homework Exercise 15, page 74 Ss gives awards to the most competitive students.
