Judeul Bihor este situat n nord-vestul Romniei, nvecinndu-se la nord cu judeul Satu Mare, limita vestic fiind dat de
frontiera de stat cu Ungaria. Aproximativ din dreptul localitii Boianu
Mare i pn n vrful Piatra Aradului (1428 m) din Munii Bihorului, se
desfaoar limita estic, separndu-l de judeele Slaj, Cluj i Alba. De
la Piatra Aradului pn n apropiere de localitatea Ant se ntinde limita
sudic, prin care se desparte de judeul Arad. ntre aceste limite, teritoriul judeului se situeaz n cadrul a trei uniti geografice majore:
Cmpia de Vest, Dealurile Vestice i Munii Apuseni.
Judeul Bihor are o suprafa de 7.544 km2, numr
624.972 locuitori, ocupnd locul 6 n funcie de suprafa i locul 13
dup numrul locuitorilor, ntre cele 41 judee ale Romniei. O treime
din bihoreni locuiesc n Municipiul Oradea.
Judeul Bihor este compus din 4 municipii (Oradea, Beiu,
Marghita i Salonta), 6 orae (Aled, Nucet, Scueni, tei, Valea lui
Mihai i Vacu) i 91 de comune (cu 434 sate).
Conform bazei de date a Institutului Naional al Monumentelor Istorice din 2004, judeul Bihor are 431 de monumente
istorice.
Am dorit prin aceast carte de buzunar s prezint monumentele de arhitectur cele mai reprezentative i de interes turistic.
Astfel a rezultat un numr de 156 de monumente.

cunoatei motenirea arhitectural lsat de generaiile apuse i s
contribuim mpreun pentru mediatizarea i pstrarea lor pentru viitoarele generaii.

Scurt prezentare

Bihor County lies in the North/west of Romania and neighbours Satu Mare County in the north and Hungary in the west. The
eastern limit of the county, which separates it from the counties of
Salaj, Cluj and Alba, runs from close to Piatra Boioanului to the peak
of Piatra Aradului (1428 m) in the Bihor Mountains. The southern limit
runs from Piatra Aradului to close to Ant and separates Bihor from Arad
County. Within these boundaries Bihor County is split into three main
areas: the Western Plain, the Western Hills, and the Western Mountain.
Bihor County has a surface area of 7,544 km, 624,972
inhabitants and thus, it is the 6th largest county in terms of surface
th
and 13 in terms of number of inhabitants, out of the 41 counties of
Romania. A third of its inhabitants live in the city of Oradea.
Bihor County has 4 municipalities (Oradea, Beiu, Marghita and Salonta), 6 towns (Aled, Nucet, Scueni, tei, Valea lui Mihai
and Vacu) and 91 de communes (with 434 willages).
According to the Ministry of Culture, Bihor county has
431 historical monuments. I wanted by this pocketbook to present the
most representative architectural monuments with tourist interest. Resulted in a total of 156 monuments.
I hope this pocket book will awaken interest you to know
our architectural heritage left by previous generations and to help mediate and keep them together for future generations.

A megye alapterlete 7.544 km, lakosainak szma
624.972. Terlet tekintetben Romnia 41 megyje kzl a hatodik, a
lakossg szmt tekintve pedig a 13. helyen ll. A megye lakossgnak
egyharmada Nagyvradon l.
A megyben ngy municpium (Nagyvrad, Belnyes, Margitta s Nagyszalonta), hat vros (Difs, lesd, rmihlyfalva, Szkelyhd, Vaskoh s Vaskohszikls) s 91 kzsg tallhat, melyekhez
sszesen 434 telepls tartozik.
A Kulturlis Minisztrium legutols, 2004-es adatbzisa
szerint, Bihar megyben 431 memlk van. Ebben a kis zsebknyvben
olyan 156 ptszeti memlk kerl bemutatsra, melyeknek turisztikai
vonzshatalmuk is van, ugyanakkor megmaradsuk szempontjbl a
legreprezentatvabbak.
