The Present Simple Tense (Prezentul Simplu)


Present Simple Tense (Prezentul Simplu) se folosete pentru aciuni
care se repet n mod regulat (obiceiuri, rutin), pentru adevruri
general valabile, pentru a arta caracteristicile subietului.
NOT: Pentru mai multe detalii, accesai modulul Present Simple and
Present Continuous Tense din cursul Intermediate.
pentru orare fixe (fixed timetables) din viitor:

adesea, Present Simple se folosete cnd spunem o anecdot sau

Present Continuous se folosete pentru evenimente mai puin
importante. Tot n acelai fel se folosesc aceste timpuri cnd
comentm ceva sau cnd oferim instruire.

pentru: o aciune care se ntmpl n momentul vorbirii, pentru o
aciune temporar, pentru a exprima planuri n viitorul apropiat.
NOT: Pentru mai multe informaii, accesai modulul Present Simple
and Present Continuous Tense n cursul Intermediate.

Present Perfect Simple and Present Perfect Continuous


Present Perfect Simple Tense se folosete cnd vorbim de aciuni
care au avut loc n trecut, ntr-un moment nedeterminat i despre care
tim c s-a terminat. Astfel, prin utilizarea Present Perfect Tense
subiectul devine i mai interesat de rezultatul aciunii.
Mary has bought a new car. - Mary a cumprat o main nou.

I have broken my leg. - Mi-am rupt piciorul.

Present Perfect Continuous Tense se folosete cnd vorbim de


aciuni despre care nu suntem siguri c au luat sfrit. Prin acest timp,
se accentueaz faptul c suntem i mai interesai de durata aciunii
dect de consecinele acestei aciuni.
He has been working for the same company since 1966. El lucreaz pentru aceeai companie din anul 1966.

I have been talking to my sister for more than two hours. Am vorbit la telefon cu sora mea mai bine de 2 ore.

Astfel Present Perfect Simple se folosete n combinaie cu How much


i How many, iar Present Perfect Continuous Tense se folosete n
combinaie cu How long.

n unele cazuri, ambele timpuri se pot folosi cu acelai sens, cel mai
des n combinaie cu verbele Live i Work.

I have worked for this company for 5 years. - De 5 ani lucrez
