Bncile centrale se preocup de realizarea unor scopuri care privesc ntreaga economie.
Printre elurile urmrite de o banc central putem meniona prevenirea falimentului bncilor
comerciale i reducerea omajului. Spre deosebire de Banca Angliei, celelalte bnci au
funcionat ca atare de la nceput. Bncile centrale acioneaz ca instituii de stat, dei
conducerea lor este aleas n mod formal de acionari. n situaii de criz banca central
acord mprumuturi altor bnci. Banca central ofer servicii guvernului acionnd astfel ca
banc de stat. n problemele financiare internaionale guvernele recurg la sfaturile competente
ale bncilor centrale. Banca intenioneaz s deschid filiale n strintate. Deoarece
organizaia este nelucrativa, fondurile cu care opereaz provin din contribuii i donaii.

The English Text

Central banks are concerned about achieving goals regarding the whole economy. Among
the goals pursued by a central bank we can mention commercial banks bankruptcy prevention
and reducing unemployment. Unlike the Bank of England, other banks functioned as such
from the beginning. Central banks act as state institutions, although their leadership is
formally elected by shareholders. In crisis the central bank lend to other banks. The central
bank provides services to the government acting such as a state bank. In international
financial issues governments resort to central banks' competent advices. The bank plans to
open branches abroad. Since the organization is non-profit, the operating funds come from
contributions and donations.
