 3D OBJECT

Pasul 1
Creati un nou fisier: File> New. Eu mia-am creat unul cu caracteristicile urmatoare: Width=400,
Height=400 pixeli. Creati un nou strat si folositi unealta Selection pentru a crea conturul obiectului
dumneavoastra. Eu am facut un oval, asemanator conturului fetei mele.

Step 1
Create a new file: File> New. I made mine Width=400, Height=400 pixels. Create a new layer
and use the Selection tool to create the outline of your object. I made mine an Oval like in my Oval
Interface.

Pasul 2
Apasati pe butonul “Channels” si creati un nou canal. Asigurati-va ca forma obiectului este
vizibila in continuare. Umpleti aceasta sectiune cu alb, astfel: Alt-E> L, White. Apoi deselectati: Ctrl-D.
Acum folositi din nou unealta Selection pentru a alege o zona oarecare a obiectului, care va fi golita sau
taiata. Umplati aceasta zona cu negru. Apasati Control-Click pe canal si apoi salvati selectarea facuta:
Select> Save Selection.

Step 2
Click the 'Channels' tab and create a new channel. Make sure you still have your object shape
selection visible. Fill this selection with white: Alt-E> L, White. Then deselect: Ctrl-D. Now use the
Selection tool to choose any areas in your object that will be hollowed out or indented. Fill with Black.
Control-Click the channel then save the selection: Select> Save Selection.

Pasul 3
Trebuie sa ne asiguram sa marginile sunt netede. Cu Ctrl-D deselectati totul. Apoi, faceti o
umbrire Gaussiana: Filter> Blur> Gaussian Blur> Radius = 3. Cu Ctrl-L readuceti nivelul de reglaj.
Observati cele trei triunghiuri de sub fereastra de nivel? Trageti de triunghiurile din dreapta si din stanga
spre cel din mijloc pana ce marginile obiectului sunt netede.

Step 3
We need to makes sure the edges are smooth. Ctrl-D deselects everything. Then do a Gaussian
Blur: Filter> Blur> Gaussian Blur> Radius = 3. Ctrl-L brings up the level adjustor. Notice the 3 triangles
under the levels window? Drag the left and right triangles towards the middle one until the object edges
are smooth.

Pasul 4
Apasand Control- Channel 4 selectati toate zonele albe ale canalului. Realizati mai multe umbriri
Gaussiene folosind pe rand raze de 10 , 6 , 4 , 2 , 1. Apoi cu Ctrl-D deselectati si realizati o noua umbrire
Gaussiana cu raza de 1.

Step 4
Control-click Channel 4 selects all the white areas of the channel. Do a series of Gaussian blurs
Radius 10 , 6 , 4 , 2 , 1. Then Ctrl-D to delselect and do one more Gaussian Blur Radius 1.

Pasul 5
Cu Select> Load Selection – readuceti selectia pe care ati salvat-o inainte si apoi apasati butonul
Layers. Apasati pe Layer 2. Umpleti selectia cu o culoare, o textura sau un degrade. Cu Ctrl-D deselectati.
Folositi efectele de lumina: Filter> Render> Lighting Effects> Texture Channel = 4 si vedeti ce ati
realizat!

Step 5
Select> Load Selection - the one you saved a while ago, Click the Layers Tab. Click Layer 2. Fill
the selection with a color, texture, or gradient. Ctrl-D Deselects. Use lighting effects: Filter> Render>
Lighting Effects> Texture Channel = 4, and there ya have it!
 TEXT STRALUCITOR ANIMAT
 ANIMATED GLOWING TEXT

Pasul 1
Aceasta animatie este de fapt foarte usor de facut. Trebuie doar sa aveti rabdare si timp sa o
faceti. Marimea imaginii mele este de 127x27. Folosind unealta Text scrieti ceva cu orice culoare vreti.

Step 1
This animation is actually very easy. Just that you need the patience and the time to do it. My
image size was 127x27. Using the Text tool make some text, any color you want.

Pasul 2
Acum folositi tehnica de text stralucitor, pe care am prezentat-o anterior. Daca folositi filtrul de
stralucire EyeCandy3.0 nu o sa fie la fel de frumos rezultatul, dar oricum merge. Folositi unealta
dumneavoastra de Text si scrieti alt text. Acesta trebuie sa fie la fel ca fel ca cu cel pe care l-ati facut
stralucitor, dar sa-l faceti de culoarea fundalului dumneavoastra si sa-l puneti deasupra textului stralucitor.

Step 2
Now use the glowing text technique I have in my previous tip. If you use the EyeCandy3.0 Glow
filter, it won't be as nice, but it still works. Use your Text tool and make another text. Exactly the same as
the one you glowed, but make it the color of your background, and put it directly on top of the glowing
text.

Pasul 3
Salvati imaginea creata ca fisier .PSD avand toate straturile nemodificate, NU modificati culorile
sau orice altceva; lasati-le im modul RGB. Dupa aceea exportati-l File> Export> Gif98a Export. Apoi
puteti sa alegeti diferite setari, dupa cum doriti.

Step 3
Save the image as a .PSD with all the layers intact, do NOT change to indexed color or anything,
leave it in RGB mode. After you do that, go to File> Export> Gif98a Export. Then choose different
settings if you like, then save it.

Pasul 4
Acum trebuie sa mergeti la stratul Glowing Text din butonul de straturi. Faceti-l opac 80%.
Acum exportati Gif98a si salvati-l sub o alta denumire.

Step 4
Now you need to go to the Glowing Text layer in your layers tab. Make the opacity 80%. Now
Gif98a export it, and save it under a different filename.

Pasul 5
Repetati Pasul 4 again, folosind diferite grade de opacitate: 60, 40, 20 si 1% si salvati fiecare
varianta intr-un nou fisier, cu alt nume.
Step 5
Repeat step 4 again, with 60, 40, 20, and 1% opacities, and save them each under a new
filename.

Pasul 6
Acesta este ultimul pas, in care veti compila toate imaginile si le veti anima. Un program de
animare a GIF-urilor va este necesar pentru urmatorii pasi. Puteti sa folositi de exemplu Gif Movie Gear.
Pe Internet sunt disponibile cateva programa gratuite in versiune demo pe care puteti sa le preluati.

Step 6
This is the last step, compiling all the images and animating them. A GIF animation program is
needed for the following steps, you can use Gif Movie Gear for example. There are several Shareware
Demo's that are available for download. The Gif Movie Gear shareware version is located here

Pasul 7
Introduceti in animatorul GIF al dumneavoastra imaginile in ordinea crearii lor. De exemplu, eu
mi-am numit fisierele animation1.GIF, animation2.GIF, etc. si le-am pus in crescator in ordinea
numerelor si apoi din nou descrescator, astfel incat sa fie in degrade (de la inchis la deschis si apoi iar la
inchis). Deci, ele vor fi astfel: 1,2,3,4,5,6,5,4,3,2,1.

Step 7
In your GIF Animator, insert your images in order of how you created them. For instance, I
named my files animation1.GIF, animation2.GIF, etc etc. So I put them in number order, then count back
down to one, that makes it fade out, and fade back in. So it would be, 1,2,3,4,5,6,5,4,3,2,1.

Pasul 8
Eu am stabilit timpul dintre aparitia imaginilor la 10ms. Dar pentru prima imagine l-am stabilit
la 50ms, astfel incat sa poata fi citit textul inainte de a se sterge treptat.

Step 8
I made the wait time between each image 10ms. But the first image, I made it 50ms, so you can
read the text before it fades away.

Pasul 1
Deschideti un nou document si creati un nou strat.

Step 1
Open a new document, and create a new layer.

Pasul 2
Folositi unealta Rectangular Marquee Tool pentru a desena o selectie patrata.

Using the Rectangular Marquee Tool draw a square selection

Pasul 3
Acum selectatiunealta Angle Gradient si umpleti selectia folosind albul ca prim plan si negrul ca
fundal.

Step 3
Now select the Angle Gradient Tool and fill the selection using white as the foreground and black
as the background

Pasul 4
Acum mergeti la Select> Modify> Contract, micsorati zona cu 2 pixeli si umpleti selectia cu gri
inchis, dupa care apasati Ctrl+D ca sa deselectati.

Step 4
Now go to Select> Modify> Contract and contract the selection by 2 pixels, and fill that selection
with dark grey, and press (Ctrl+D) to deselect.
Pasul 5
Selectati inca o data Rectangular Marquee si desenati o selectie ca in imaginea de mai jos.

Step 5
Once again select the Rectangular Marquee and draw a selection on your image as shown

Pasul 6
Acum apasati tastele Shift+Ctrl+Alt toate odata si folosind tasta sageata dreapta trageti imaginea
putin spre dreapta.

Step 6
Now press the Shift+Ctrl+Alt key together and using your right arrow key drag the image
towards the right

Puteti sa folositi acum Layer> Effects pentru a crea diferite efecte butonului dumneavoastra.

Step 7
You can now use the Layer> Effects to give various effects to your button.

 TEXT SANGERAND
 BLOODY TEXT

Pasul 1
Pentru a crea un text cu efect de sangerare mai intai trebuie sa urmati pasii pentru a obtine un
efect glacial care trebuie apoi modificat. Apasati aici pentru a invata cum sa obtineti un text cu efect
glacial.

Step 1
To create text with a bloody effect, first follow steps to get an icy effect; you will then just modify
that. Click here for an icy text tutorial

Pasul 2
Deschideti textul dumneavoastra cu efect glacial fara efecte luminoase.

Step 2
Open your icy text without the shiny effect.

Pasul 3
Mergeti la Image> Adjust> Invert sau apasati Ctrl+I. Asta este tot, textul dumneavoastra este
sangerand acum! Puteti sa va jucati cu cateva efecte pentru a controla sangerarea si a evita formarea
baltilor in partea de jos a imaginii dumneavoastra!

Step 3
Go to: Image> Adjust> Invert (Ctrl+I). That's it, your text is bloody now! You can tweak some
effects to control the blood's "drippiness", and avoid its sliding to the bottom of the image!

Pasul 1
Deschideti un nou documnet (Ctrl+N). Faceti un nou strat si desenati un cerc folosind unealta
Elliptical Marquee. Folositi o culoare deschisa pentru prim plan si una deschisa pentru fundal. Umpleti
pornind din coltul stanga sus spre coltul din dreapta jos folosind unealta.

Step 1
Open a new document (Ctrl+N). Make a new layer, and draw out a circle with the Elliptical
Marquee tool, using a light color as the foreground and a dark color as the background. Fill from the
upper left down to the bottom right using the Radial Gradient tool.

Pasul 2
Apasati Ctrl+D pentru a deselecta selectia si faceti un mic cerc in mijlocul imaginii pe care
tocmai ati creat-o. Acum rotiti cu 180 de grade astfel: Edit> Transform> Rotate 180.

Step 2
Press Ctrl+D to deselect the selection and make a smaller circle right in the center on the image
that you just made. Now Rotate it 180 degrees: Edit> Transform> Rotate 180.

Paul 3
Butonul dumneavoastra este gata acum pentru pagina dumneavoastra de web...

Step 3
Your button is now ready for your web page...

Pasul 4
Puteti sa creati doar cateva forme. Unealta Linear Gradient a fost folosita pentru aceste 2
butoane.

 BUTONUL “LASAREA CORTINEI”


 BUTTON 'DOWN' STAGE

Pasul 1
Butonul de lasare a cortinei este in general folosit in javascript pentru un buton pe care se trece
cu mause-ul. Mai intai deschideti fisierul PSD cu butonul dumneavoastra.

Step 1
The 'Down Stage' of a button is usually used for a javascript mouseOver button. First open up the
PSD file with your button.

Pasul 2
Dublati stratul butonului: Layer> Duplicate Layer. Apoi apasati Ctrl-Click pe noul strat duplicat.
Ar trebui sa selectati butonul dumneavoastra. Acum inversati selectia (Ctrl-Shift-I). Mergeti pe: Edit>
Fill> 80% Black. Acum deselectati (Ctrl-D) si folosind tastele cu sageti (asigurati-va ca unealta de miscare
este activa) mutati cu 3 pixeli mai jos si 3 pixeli spre dreapta.

Step 2
Duplicate your button layer, Layer> Duplicate Layer. Then Ctrl-Click on the new duplicated
layer. It should select your button. Now Inverse(Ctrl-Shift-I) your selection. Go to Edit> Fill> 80% Black.
Now De-Select(Ctrl-D) your selection and using your arrow keys, (make sure the move tool is selected)
and move it 3 pixels down and 3 pixels to the right.
Pasul 3
Acum apasati Ctrl-Click pe stratul de buton original. Avand stratul duplicat activ, inversati
selectia (Ctrl-Shift-I) si apasati tasta delete. Aceasta este lasarea dumneavoastra de cortina! Eu am adaugat
un efect de strat “in strat” imaginii mele pentru a adauga mai multa adancime.

Step 3
Now Ctrl-Click on the original button layer. With the duplicated layer active, Inverse(Ctrl-Shift-
I) the selection and hit your delete key. There, that's your down stage! I added an 'inlayed' effect into my
image to add more depth to it.

 TEXT PIGMENTAT
 CHROME TEXT

Pasul 1
Deschideti un nou document. Scrieti-va textul folosind modul accentuat (bold) pentru a avea un
efect mai bun si nu uitati sa desenati textul (Layer> Type> Render Layer).

Step 1
Open a new document. Type your text using bold type (it gives a better effect), and don't forget to
Render the Text (Layer> Type> Render Layer).

Pasul 2
Acum pentru a activa acele furnicute tineti apasata tasta Ctrl si apasati pe stratul activ din paleta
de straturi pentru a incarca selectia.

Step 2
Now to get those ants marching press the Ctrl key and click on the active layer in the Layer
palette to load the selection.

Pasul 3
Mergeti la Channels, creati un nou strat (puteti sa-l numiti Alpha1) si umpleti selectia cu alb.
Apoi duplicati stratul (puteti sa-l numiti Alpha2).

Step 3
Go to Channels and create a new layer (it should come up as Alpha1), fill the selection with
white. And then duplicate the layer (it should come up as Alpha2).

Pasul 4
Apasati Ctrl+D pentru a deselecta si umbriti Gaussian Alpha2 (Filters> Blur> Gaussian Blur) cu
o raza de 3 pixeli.

Step 4
Press Ctrl+D to deselect and Gaussian Blur the Alpha2 (Filters> Blur> Gaussian Blur) to a
Radius of 3 pixels.

Pasul 5
Mergeti la straturi si apasati pe stratul text ca sa fiti sigur ca este activ. Apoi mergeti la: Filters>
Renders> Lighting Effects. Folositi stilul implicit si in “Texture Channel” selectati Alpha2.

Step 5
Go to layers and click on the text layer to make sure its active. Next go to Filters> Renders>
Lighting Effects. Use the default style and in 'Texture Channel' select Alpha2.

Pasul 6
Apoi mergeti la Curves (Ctrl+M) sau (Image> Adjust> Curves) si faceti setarea asa cum va este
aratata. Creati un W sau un M. Este cel mai bine sa umblati in ambele forme pana gasiti exact umbra care
o vreti.

Step 6
Next go to Curves (Ctrl+M) or (Image> Adjust> Curves) and do the setting as shown. Create a W
or a M. It's best to play around in those 2 shapes, till you get the right shade you want.

Pasul 7
Pentru a adauga culoare mergeti la: Image> Adjust> Variations. Asigurati-va ca “Midtones”
clipeste. Acum adaugati culoarea selectata sau combinatii de culori pentru a obtine efectul dorit.

Step 7
To apply color, go to (Image> Adjust> Variations). Make sure the 'Midtones' is ticked. Now apply
the selected color or combinations of colors to get the right effect.

Pasul 1
Creati un nou document cu fondul negru.
Step 1
Create a new document with black as your background.

Pasul 2
Apoi copiati imaginea dumneavoastra intr-un nou strat.

Next paste your image in a new layer.

Pasul 3
Creati un nou strat si numiti-l umbra si apoi selectati unealta Polygonal Lasso pentru a crea un
triunghi ca in imaginea de mai jos. Umpleti selectia cu negru si apoi apasati Crtl+ D pentru a deselecta.

Step 3
Once again create a new layer and name it shadow and then select Polygonal Lasso tool to create
a triangle as shown in the image below. Fill the selection with black, and then press Crtl+ D to deselect.

Pasul 4
Creati un nou strat si numiti-l umbrire. Acum folositi unealta Rectangular Marquee pentru a
desena o selectie dreptunghiulara. Nu uitati ca este foarte important sa vedeti straturile pentru a crea acest
efect.

Step 4
Create another layer and name it shading. Now using the Rectangular Marquee tool draw a
rectangle selection. Please note it is very important that you use layers to create this effect.

Pasul 5
Acum folositi unealta Linear Gradient folosind aceasta setare sau preluand-o din fisierul
Gradient pentru a umple selectia.

Step 5
Now use the Linear Gradient tool using this setting or (download
the Gradient File) to fill the selection.
Pasul 6
Apoi mergeti la: Edit> Transform> Perspective si de cele doua puncte catre centru si aplicati
transformarea.

Step 6
Next we go to Edit> Transform> Perspective, drag the 2 points to the center and apply the
transformation.

Pasul 7
Mergeti inca o data la: Edit> Transform si selectati. Rotiti asa ca in imaginea de mai jos si apoi
aplicati transformarea. Mergeti din nou: Edit> Transform si de data asta selectati scala si trageti-o in jos
ca in figura si apoi aplicati transformarea, dupa care apasati Ctrl+D pentru deselectare.

Step 7
Once again go to Edit> Transform and select Rotate. And rotate it to the setting as shown in the
image, once set apply the transformation. Once again go to Edit> Transform and this time select scale,
and drag it all the way down as shown and apply the transformation, and then press Ctrl+D to deselect.

Pasul 8
Dupa ce ati deselectat s-ar putea sa aveti unele margini zimtate, pe partea dreapta. In acest caz
faceti o copie a stratului umbra si plasati-l peste stratul umbrire.

Step 8
Once you deselect you may have some jagged edges on the right hand side. In this case make a
copy of the shadow layer, and place it on the top of the shading layer.

Pasul 9
Acum selectati unealta Elliptical Marquee pentru a face un cerc pe care sa-l plasati in partea de
jos a umbririi, asa ca in imagine si apoi apasati Delete.

Step 9
Now select the Elliptical Marquee tool to make a circle, and place it at the bottom of the shading,
as shown in the image, then press Delete.

Pasul 10
Acum adaugati ceva umbre. Mergeti la: Layers> Effect> Dropshadow. Potriviti unghiul la 90 si
restul la alegerea dumneavoastra. Eu am folosit Distance de 8 si Blur de 8.

Step 10
Now to add some shadow. Go to Layers> Effect> Dropshadow. Set the angle to 90 and the rest of
your choice. I have used the Distance 8 and Blur 8.

 TEXT ORNAMENTAT
 EMBOSS TEXT

Pasul 1
Deschideti un nou document avand un fond la alegere.

Step 1
Open a new document with a background of your choice.

Pasul 2
Scrieti-va textul intr-un nou strat. Apasati cu butonul din dreapta mouse-ului pe T-ul din paleta
de straturi, pentru a desena stratul.

Step 2
Type your text on a new layer. Click the right mouse button on the T in the Layer palette, to
Render layer.

Pasul 3
Faceti un duplicat al stratului text. Mergeti la stratul inferior si creati o selectie tinand apasata pe
tasta Ctrl si apasand pe stratul din paleta de straturi. Acum umpleti acel strat cu alb

Step 3
Make a duplicate of the text layer. Go to the below layer and create a selection by holding the Ctrl
and clicking on the layer in the layer palette. Now fill that layer with white.

Pasul 4
Apasati Ctrl+D pentru a deselecta si apoi mergeti la: Filter> Blur> Gaussian Blur si folositi o
raza de 1 pixel.
Step 4
Press Ctrl+D to deselect and then go to Filter> Blur> Gaussian Blur, use a Radius of 1 pixels.

Pasul 5
Acum impingeti stratul cu textul alb 2 pixeli mai jos si 2 pixeli la dreapta folosind tastele cu
sageti.

Step 5
Now nudge the white text active layer 2 pixels down and 2 pixels to the right using the arrow on
your keyboard.

 TEXT EXPLOZIV
 EXPLOSIVE TEXT

Pasul 1
Incepeti cu un nou document. Scrieti-va textul cu alb pe un fond negru. Apasati Ctrl+E sau
schimbati in modul Grayscale pentru a avea textul si fondul grupate intr-un singur strat. Apoi, mergeti la:
Filter> Blur> Gaussian Blur si folositi o raza de 2.4 pixeli. Apoi selectati: Filter> Stylize> Solarize.
Apasati Ctrl+Shift+L si veti avea o imagine ca cea de mai jos.

Step 1
Start with a new document. Write your text in white on a black background. Press Ctrl+E or
change to Grayscale mode to have the text and background merge into one layer. Next, go to: Filter>
Blur> Gaussian Blur, and use a Radius of 2.4 pixels. Next, select: Filter> Stylize> Solarize. Press
Ctrl+Shift+L, and you will get an image as shown below:

Pasul 2
Duplicati-va stratul. Mergeti la: Filter> Distort> Polar Coordinates: de la Polar la Rectangular.
Imaginea dumneavoastra trebuie sa arate ca cea de mai jos. Acum selectati: Image> Rotate Canvas:
90° CW .

Step 2
Duplicate your layer. Go to: Filter> Distort> Polar Coordinates: Polar to Rectangular. Your image
should be the same as shown below. Now select: Image> Rotate Canvas: 90° CW .

Pasul 3
Apasati Ctrl+I pentru a inversa culorile. Selectati: Filter> Stylize> Wind: Wind-Left. Apasati
Ctrl+F de doua ori si selectati: Image> Adjust> Auto-Levels (Ctrl+L).

Step 3
Press Ctrl+I to invert colors. Select: Filter> Stylize> Wind: Wind-Left. Press Ctrl+F twice and
select: Image> Adjust> Auto-Levels (Ctrl+L).

Pasul 4
Apasati Ctrl+I din nou. Apasati Ctrl+F de trei ori. Apoi mergeti la: Image> Rotate Canvas:
90°CCW.

Step 4
Press Ctrl+I again. Press Ctrl+F three times. Then go to: Image> Rotate Canvas: 90°CCW.
Pasul 5
Acum selectati: Filter> Distort> Polar Coordinates: de la Rectangular la Polar. Imaginea
dumneavoastra trebuie sa rate ca aceasta:

Now select: Filter> Distort> Polar Coordinates: Rectangular to Polar. Your image should look
like this:

Pasul 6
Schimbati in madul RGB (daca lucrati in modul Grayscale) si selectati: Image> Adjust>
Hue/Saturation: Hue: 45 | Sat: 100 | Lightness: 0. Fiti sigur ca “Colorize” este verificat.

Step 6
Change to RGB mode (if you were working with Grayscale mode), and select: Image> Adjust>
Hue/Saturation: Hue: 45 | Sat: 100 | Lightness: 0. Be sure 'Colorize' is checked.

Pasul 7
Pentru a desena textul cu mai multa claritate trebuie sa faceti unele modificari. Cu cat este mai
mare textul de inceput cu atat efectul explozibil va fi mai semnificativ.

Step 7
To render the text with more clarity, some changes are to be made. The bigger the text from the
start, the better the explosive effect may be.

Pasul 8
Luati stratul duplicat si plasati-l inaintea stratului “explosiv” ca in image1. Apoi, selectati stratul
1 (stratul “neexploziv”) si schimbati-l din “Normal” in “Overlay”, ca in image2. Acum puteti sa va cititi
textul mult mai clar.

Step 8
Take the duplicate layer and place it before the "explosive" layer, as shown in image1. Next,
select layer1 (the "non-explosive" layer) and change it from 'Normal' to 'Overlay', as in image2. You can
read your text more clearly now.

parcurgeti acest tutorial dar rezultatele nu vor fi aceleasi... nu la fel de “frumoase”.

Photoshop 5.0 or greater and the eyecandyplug-in >download demo< are needed to create this type of
menu. Without Alien Skin's plug-in, eyecandy, it is possible to follow this tutorial, but the result will not
be the same... not quite as "beautiful".
Pasul 1
Deschideti un nou document de 640 x 480 pixeli (File> New) cu un fond de o culoare
transparenta. Desenati o forma cu 4 unghiuri (sau mai multe daca vreti) folosind unealta Path.

Step 1
Open a new document at 640 x 480 pixels (File> New) with a transparent background color.
Draw a shape with 4 angles (or more if you like) by using the Path tool

Pasul 2
Odata creata aceasta forma selectati unealta aceasta din selectia Path si desenati form rotunde din
punctele exterioare spre marginea imaginii. Dupa ce ati terminat si aveti forma dorita, folosind unealta
Path apasati butonul din dreapta al mouse-ului pentru a va afisa meniul. Selectati: Fill Subpatch. Veti avea
un meniu cu aceste optiuni: Foreground Color, Background Color ... Selectati: Fill cu Foreground Color
(culoarea din meniul de unelte va umple forma dumneavoastra) asa cum se vede in imaginea de mai jos.
Dupa ce imaginea este gata, creati un nou strat (Layer> New> Layer). Desenati o forma eliptica in noul
strat. Umpleti forma eliptica (Edit> Fill: cu aceeasi culoare pentru Foreground ca la prima forma asu o
alta diferita, dupa cum doriti).

Step 2
Once the shape is created, select this tool in the Path section, and draw rounded shapes, from the
points out to the image border. Once you're done and have the desired shape, with the Path tool right-click
the mouse button to display the menu. Select: Fill Subpatch. You will get a menu with these options:
Foreground Color, Background Color ... Select: Fill with Foreground Color (the color in the menu tools
will fill your shape), as seen in the image below. Once the image is full, create a new layer (Layer> New>
Layer). Draw an elliptical shape in your new layer. Fill the elliptical shape (Edit> Fill: with the same
Foreground color as the first shape, or another, it's up to you).

Pasul 3
Acum adaugati un nou efect ornamental oblic (Layer> Effects> Bevel Emboss) formei eliptice.
Setati optiunile ca mai jos.

Step 3
Now add a bevel emboss effect (Layer> Effects> Bevel Emboss) to the elliptical shape. Set
options to the following (see below).

Pasul 4
Nu uitati sa verificati optiunea “down” pentru a avea un efect perfect. Dupa ce ati terminat,
ramaneti tot la stratul cu forma eliptica si adaugati un efect de umbra interioara (Layer> Effects> Inner
Shadow). Pasii simpli au fost parcursi! Ar trebui sa aveti un meniu similar celui din dreapta jos. Daca nu
este la fel, reluati de la inceput... (cand spun la fel, ma refer la efect nu la forma).

Step 4
Do not forget to check the "down" option to get a perfect effect. Once done, still on the elliptical
shape's layer, add an inner shadow effect (Layer> Effects> Inner Shadow). The simple steps are done!!
You should get a menu similar to the one shown below, on the right. If it is not the same, repeat from the
start ... (when I say the same, I am referring to the effect, not the shape).

De la acest pas incolo aveti nevoie de Alien Skin's eyecandy plug-in. Puteti sa preluati versiunea
demo de aici, desi va sugerez sa cumparati o versiune completa... Acest plug-in este cel mai simplu dintre
cele mai bune! Va pune la dispozitie efecte usor de realizat. De exemplu, eyecandy are un plug-in pentru
un efect de flacara exceptional. Oricum, destul despre eyecandy! Sa ne intoarcem la tutorialul nostru!
Aveti nevoie sa aplicati filtrul de “oblic interior” al eyecandy-ului (Filter> Eye Candy 3.01> Inner Bevel).
Alegeti aceleasi optiuni ca mai jos si acordati atentie deosebita sagetilor, care sunt elemente foarte
importante.
Step 5
From this step on, we need the Alien Skin's eyecandy plug-in. Download the demo Here, though I
really suggest you buy the complete version, ...this plug-in is simply one of the best! It provides various
handy effects. For example, eyecandy has a plug-in for an exceptional flame effect. Anyway, enough about
eyecandy! Let's get on with our tutorial!! You need to apply eyecandy's "inner bevel" filter (Filter> Eye
Candy 3.01> Inner Bevel). Choose the same options as shown below, pay attention to the arrows, they are
very important elements:

Dupa ce ati aplicat efectul, ati “terminat”! Veti avea acelasi meniu ca cel din stanga. Bineinteles
ca puteti sa schimbati culorile, efectele... orice vreti ca urmare a exerientei si a tonelor de idei! In timp
veti putea sa creati meniuri ca cel din dreapta jos.

Faceti o imagine de amrime potrivita; a mea este de 150x50 pixeli. Eu am scris ceva text si l-am
centrat.

Make an adequate sized image, mine was 150x50 pixels. I typed some text in, and centered it.

Pasul 2
Salvati stratul, selectati All (Ctrl-A), si copiati-l (Ctrl-C). Acum deselectati (Ctrl-D) si verificati
“Preserve Transparency” din maniul de straturi. Mergeti la: Edit> Stroke, verificati cutia Outside si faceti-
o de latime 3.

Step 2
Save the layer, select All (Ctrl-A), and copy it (Ctrl-C). Now deselect (Ctrl-D) and uncheck
'Preserve Transparency' in the layers menu. Go to Edit> Stroke, check the box Outside, and make the
width 3.

Pasul 3
Imaginea dumneavoastra trebuie sa arate ca aceasta. Rulati o umbrire Gaussiana cu raza de 4.
Filter> Blur> Gaussian Blur.

Your image should look like this now. Run a Gaussian Blur on it, radius of 4. Filter> Blur>

Acum Paste (Ctrl-V) stratul pe care l-ati salvat mai devreme, in varful acestuia nou.Puneti-l chiar
deasupra. Puteti sa-l puneti deasupra cu o noua culoare a textului daca vreti o alta culoare.

Just do it over with a new color of text if you want another color.

Pasul 1
Incepeti cu un nou document in modul grayscale cu un prim plan de culoare neagra si un fundal
de culoare alba. Scrieti-va textul (un text mai mare va da un efect mai vizibil). Folositi stratul de sus si
apasati Ctrl+E pentru a desena stratul.

Step 1
Start with a new document in grayscale mode with a black foreground color and white
background. Type your text (a bigger text gives a better effect). Use the top layer and press Ctrl+E to
render the layer.

Pasul 2
Acum mergeti la: Filter> Pixelate> Crystallize si setati valoarea celulei de 7.

Now go to: Filter> Pixelate> Crystallize, and set the value of cell size to 7.

Pasul 3
Apoi mergeti la: Filter> Blur> Gaussian Blur si folositi o raza de 2 pixeli.

Next go to: Filter> Blur> Gaussian Blur; use a Radius of 2 pixels.

Pasul 4
Selectati: Image> Adjust> Curve. Desenati o curba ca in imaginea de mai jos. Puteti sa preluait
curba.

Pasul 8
Asigurati-va ca va aflati in modul RGB (Image> Mode> RGB). Acum mergeti la: Image>
Adjust> Hue/Saturation (Ctrl + U). “Colorize” trebuie sa fie marcat; setati valorile dupa cum urmeaza:
Hue: 175, Saturation: 70 and Lightness: 0.

Step 8
Make sure you are in RGB mode (Image> Mode> RGB) Next go to: Image> Adjust>
Hue/Saturation (Ctrl + U) Colorize' should be ticked; set values to the following: Hue: 175, Saturation: 70
and Lightness: 0.

Pasul 9
Acum puteti sa adaugati unele efecte. Pentru a avea un efect stralucitor, alegeti unealta Airbrush
pentru o culoare alba si aplicati cateva pensule cu pensula de pictat si forma dorita. Daca nu vedeti
“stars”, apasati pe sageata mica din coltul dreapta sus a paletei de pensule si alegeti “Load Brushes”... Din
varietatea de forma alegeti “Assorted Brushes”. Asta este tot, ati terminat!

Step 9
Now you can add some effects. To have a shiny effect, choose the Airbrush tool with a white
color, and apply some brush strokes with the "paint brush" and the desired shape. If you don't see the
"stars", click on the small arrow in the top right corner of your Brushes palette and choose 'Load
Brushes'... Among the variety of shapes, choose 'Assorted Brushes'. That's it, you're done.

Pasul 1
Deschideti un nou documnet (Ctrl+N) cu un fond inchis. Creati un nou strat (Shft+Ctrl+N).
Folositi unealta Marquee pentru a crea o cutie dupa dorintele dumneavoastra.

Step 1
Open a new document (Ctrl+N) with a dark background. Create a new layer (Shft+Ctrl+N). Use
the Marquee tool to create a box of your choice.

Pasul 2
Mergeti la: Select> Modify> Border si setati latimea intre 2 si 3 pixeli.

Step 2
Go to Select> Modify> Border and set the Width to between 2 - 3 pixels.

Pasul 3
Umpleti interiorul chenarului cu culoarea fondului. Apoi mergeti la: Image> Adjust>
Brightness/Contrast. Folosind glisorul setati Brightness la +100 .

Step 3
Fill the inside of the border with the background color. Then go to Image> Adjust>
Brightness/Contrast. And using the slider set the Brightness to +100 .

Pasul 4
Acum folositi tastele cu sageti ca sa mutati seelctia in sus cu 1 pixel si la stanga cu 1 pixel. Inca o
data mergeti la: Image> Adjust> Brightness/Contrast. Folosind glisorul setati Brightness de data aceasta
la -100 . Apasati (Ctrl+D) pentru a deselecta.

Step 4
Now use the arrow keys to move the selection up 1 pixel and left 1 pixel. Once again go to
Image> Adjust> Brightness/Contrast. And using the slider set the Brightness this time to -100 . Press
(Ctrl+D) to Deselect.

stratul 1 si apasati Ctrl+I pentru a inversa imaginea.

Draw a straight line (Tip: Press the shift key while drawing a line). Now duplicate the layer1 and
press Ctrl+I to Invert the image.

Folosind tastele cu sageti mutati imaginea duplicata in sus cu 1 pixel si la stanga cu 1 pixel.

Using the arrow keys move the duplicate image up 1 pixel and left 1 pixel.

Pentru a crea meniuri 3D trebuie sa stiti cum sa creati colturi rotunde! <br>Start incepeti cu o
imagine ca aceasta: (forma nu este importanta).

Pasul 2
Acum, folosind unealta Bagheta Magica selectati partea alba a imaginii. Umpleti cu gri inchis
(Edit> Fill). Mentineti selectata forma gri si mergeti la: Layer> New> Layer via Cut. Veti obtine un nou
strat cu forma gri.

Step 2
Now, with the Magic wand tool, select the white part of the image. Fill with dark grey (Edit>
Fill). Keep the selected grey shape and go to: Layer> New> Layer via Cut. You get a new layer with the
grey shape.

Pasul 3
Selectati stratul gri si mergeti la: Layer> Effects> Bevel si Emboss cu aceleasi optiuni ca mai jos.
Step 3
Select the grey layer, and go to: Layer> Effects> Bevel and Emboss with the same options as
below.

Meniul dumneavoastra 3D este gata! Frumos, nu este asa? Bineinteles, puteti sa creati diferite
forme ale meniuurilor si sa combinati diferite efecte pentru a obtine o imagine similara celei din dreapta!

PARTEA INTAI

1. Creati un nou fisier [FILE] [NEW] cu dimensiunile de: Width= 256, Height=256 pixeli.
2. Pe bara de meniu apasati culoarea de prim plan si alegeti o culoare gri metal (sau oricare alta vreti).
3. Umpleti documentul dumneavoastra cu aceasta culoare. [EDIT] [FILL] [FOREGROUND COLOR].
4. Adaugati ceva zgomot. [FILTER] [NOISE] [ADD NOISE] Amount = 20 - 50, Uniform,
Monochromatic.
5. Adaugati ceva umbra de miscare pentru a da un aspect dungat sau periat [FILTER] [BLUR] [MOTION
BLUR] Angle=0 , Distance = 25-35.
6. Taiati marginile pentru a scapa de muchiile neuniforme astfel incat aceasta textura sa poata fi folosita

2. On the toobar click the foreground color and choose a grey metal color (or any color you like).
3. Fill your document with this color. [EDIT] [FILL] [FOREGROUND COLOR].
4. Add some NOISE. [FILTER] [NOISE] [ADD NOISE] Amount = 20 - 50, Uniform, Monochromatic.
5. Add some motion blur to give it a streaked or brushed look. [FILTER] [BLUR] [MOTION BLUR]

6. Chop the borders to get rid of the ragged edges so this texture can be used seamlessly. [IMAGE]
[CANVAS SIZE] Width=200, Height=200.
7. Select ALL and store the texture as the active pattern. [CTRL-A selects everything] [EDIT] [DEFINE
PATTERN] [CRTL-D to deselect].

Nu uitati sa salvati fisierul in format JPG pentru a-l putea folosi in viitor.

Don't forget to save the as a JPG file so you can use it in the future.

PARTEA A DOUA
1. Creati un fisier cu o dimensiune mai mare de a semnului pe care vreti sa-l faceti. [FILE] [NEW] Eu am
ales 256 x 256 dimensiunile.
2. Umpleti fondul cu negru. [EDIT] [FILL] [black]
3. Creati un nou strat. Alegeti-l. Apoi folositi unealta de selectie dreptunghiulara pentru a realiza forma
semnului. Umpleti aceasta selectie cu modelul salvat creat anterior. [EDIT] [FILL] [pattern]. [CTRL-D

[Texture Channel = Layer 1 Transparency] Mutati sursa circulara luminoasa in jur pana ce sunteti
satisfacut cu efectele luminoase rezultate.

PART TWO

1. Create a new file bigger than than size of the sign you want to make. [FILE] [NEW] I chose 256 x 256
for the size.
2. Fill the background with BLACK, [EDIT] [FILL] [black]
3. Create a new layer. Choose it. Then use the rectangular select tool to make the shape of the sign. Fill
this selection with the saved pattern from step 7. [EDIT] [FILL] [pattern]. [CTRL-D deselects]
4. Use LIGHTING EFFECTS to create a 3-D effect, [FILTER] [RENDER] [LIGHTING EFFECTS]
[Texture Channel = Layer 1 Transparency] Move the light source circle arund until you are satisfied with
the lighting results.

PARTEA A TREIA

1. Alegeti unealta text si creati-va un strat de text (el va fi creat automat cand veti apasa OK in fereastra
de text). CTRL-click pe stratul de text. Umpeti-l cu modelul metalic [EDIT] [FILL] [pattern]. Realizati
efectele luminoase pentru stratul text [FILTER] [RENDER] [LIGHTING EFFECTS] [Texture Chanel =
Layer 2 (care este stratul de text) Transparency].
2. YS-ar putea sa trebuiasca sa modificati stralucirea sau contrastul pentru ca textul sa arate mai bine.
[IMAGE] [ADJUST] [Brightness/Contrast].

PART THREE

1. Choose the TEXT tool and create your text layer (it will be created automatically when you click OK in
the text window). CTRL-click the text layer. Fill it with the metal pattern [EDIT] [FILL] [pattern]. Do
LIGHTING EFFECTS on the text layer [FILTER] [RENDER] [LIGHTING EFFECTS] [Texture Chanel =
Layer 2 (whichever layer is the text) Transparency].
2. You may need to adjust the BRIGHTNESS / CONTRAST to make the text look better. [IMAGE]
[ADJUST] [Brightness/Contrast].

La sfarsit dar nu ultimul lucru: adaugati nituri si umbre..

Last but not least we'll add rivets and shadows..

PARTEA A PATRA

1. Creati un nou strat. Folositi selectia circulara pentru a alege un cerc de marimea unui nit (HINT: tineti
tasta Shift apasata pentru a face o selectie circulara perfecta). Umpleti aceasta selectie cu modelul metalic.
[EDIT] [FILL] [pattern].[CRTL-D deselectati nitul]. Realizati un efect luminos pe stratul cu nit.[FILTER]
[RENDER] [LIGHTING EFFECTS] [Texture Channel = Layer 3 Transparency]
2. Copiati stratul de nit si trageti-l spre icon-ul curburii paginii din partea de jos a ferestrei de straturi.
Folositi unealta de miscare (Arrow) pentru a muta noul nit unde doriti. Repetati pana veti avea atatea
nituri cate doriti
3. Creati un strat sub cel mai de jos strat de nit. CTRL-click pe oricare strat de nit. Aceasta va determina
sa apara selectia de marimea nitului. Umpleti aceasta selectie cu negru.[EDIT] [FILL] [Black]. [CTRL-D]
deselectati. Umbriti Gaussian stratul [FILTER] [BLUR] [GAUSSIAN BLUR] [Radius = 3]. Aceasta va
crea un strat umbra sub nit. Folositi unealta de miscare pentru a pozitiona umbra acolo unde trebuie sa
stea. (NU UITATI: Umbra trebuie sa fie in aceeasi directie cu efectele luminoase.
4. Copiati stratul umbra si mutati-l pana veti avea umbrele sub niturile dumneavoastra. Puteti sa folositi
de asemenea tehnica si in pasul 3 pentru a crea o umbra sub text. Puteti de asemenea sa modificati
opacitatea straturilor de umbra pentru a schimba adancimea umbrelor.

PART FOUR

1. Create a new layer. Use the circular selection to choose a rivet-sized circle (HINT: holding the shift key
will confine the selection to a perfect circle). Fill this selection with the metal pattern. [EDIT] [FILL]
[pattern]. [CRTL-D deselects the rivet]. Do a Lighting effects on the rivet layer [FILTER] [RENDER]
[LIGHTING EFFECTS] [Texture Channel = Layer 3 Transparency]
2. Copy the rivet layer by dragging it to the bent page icon at the bottom of the Layers Window. Use the
Move Tool (Arrow) to move the new rivet where you want it. Repeat until you have as many rivets as you
want.
3. Create a layer below the lowest rivet layer. CTRL-click on any rivet layer. This causes a rivet-sized
selection to appear. Fill this selection with BLACK. [EDIT] [FILL] [Black]. [CTRL-D] deselects.
Gaussian Blur the layer [FILTER] [BLUR] [GAUSSIAN BLUR] [Radius = 3]. This creates a shadow layer
under the rivet. Use the move tool to position the shadow where it belongs (REMEMBER: The shadow
must be in the same direction as the LIGHTING EFFECTS lighting.
4. Copy the shadow layer and move it until you have shadows under all of your rivets. You can also use the
technique in Step 3 to create a shadow under the text. You can also adust the opacity of the shadow layers
to change the depth of the shadows.

selectia cu 1 sau 2 pixeli pentu a fi doar putin mai mare decat textul. Schimbati culoarea prim planului cu
cea pe care o vreti pentru chenarul textului: Edir> Fill> Foreground Color.

Step 4
Left-click the new layer. Then Ctrl-Click the text layer. Select> Modify> Expand, 1 or 2 pixels
expands the selection to just a bit larger than the text. Change the Foreground Color to the color you want
for the text border: Edir> Fill> Foreground Color.

Pasul 1
Mai intati, deschideti o noua imagine, cu un fond inchis. Acest tutorial nu poate fi folosit cu un
fond alb si nu este sigur cu fondurile deschise de culori, asa ca cel mai bine este sa folositi un fond negru
pentru a fi in ton cu tutorialul pentru a intelege mai bine cum se creaza acest efect. Faceti-va culoarea de

Step 1
Firstly, open up a new image, with a dark background, this tutorial does not work with a white
background, not sure with light colored backgrounds, but use a black background just to stick with the
tutorial so you can understand how to create this effect. Make your foreground color the following R:61
G:103 B:123 - If you don't know where to do this, look on the screenshot below, fill in the correct numbers
in the area where I highlighted, the red box.

Pasul 2

pentru umbrire, ne-au mai ramas 3 straturi originale care nu au fost umbrite.

Step 2
After that's your color, make your text that color. To do that, render your text, and check 'Preserve
Transparency'. Then fill with foreground color. Now on your text, duplicate it 3 times: Layer> Duplicate
Layer. On the topmost layer, the duplicated copy, go to: Filter> Blur> Gaussian Blur: Radius of 3.
Duplicate the blurred layer 3 times, until you have a total of 4 blurred layers. Now with the original text
layer, you still have 3 of those remember? When we duplicated it 3 times, and used one for blurring, you
should still have 3 original layer's that haven't been blurred leftover.

Pasul 3
Folosind copia stratului text original mutati-l in miflocul straturilor umbrite, astfel incat sa fie 2
straturi umbrite in partea de sus a lui si 2 straturi umbrite in partea de jos a lui. In optiunile straturilor
schimbati straturile umbrite in Color Dodge si schimbati stratul acela din mijloc care nu este umbrit in
Multiply. Cele doua straturi text originale pe care inca le mai aveti mai jos trebuie sa fie umbrite acum.
Umbriti-le pe amandoua cu o umbra Gaussiana cu raza de 3. Daca astfel nu va apare efectul de text corect,
dati Undo acestor umbriri si umbriti staturile cu 1 pixel in plus.

Step 3
Using the copy of the original text layer, move it in the middle of the blurred layers, so it should
have 2 blurred layers on top of it, and 2 blurred layers on the bottom of it. In Layer Options : Change the
blurred layer's all to Color Dodge, and change that middle layer that's not blurred into Multiply. The 2
original text layers you still have below will need to be blurred now. Blur both of them with 'Gaussian
blur', with a radius of 3. If that doesn't show the text effect right, then undo those blurs and blur them 1
pixel more.

Straturile cu text umbrite sunt straturile cu text umbrit. Stratul care spune “text:multiply” este cu textul
care NU este umbrit, acesta este cel din mijlocul straturilor umbrite si are setarile de multiplicare a
stratului. Textul original si copia textului original sunt straturile originale de text. NOTA: Daca versiunea
finala a dumneavoastra nu arata ca a mea dar arata asemanator sau nu arata deloc ca a mea, atunci
incercati sa parcurgeti pasii inca o data, dar umbriti cu mai mult de 3 pixeli.

The blurred text layers are the layers with the blurred text. The layer that says 'text:multiply' is the text
that is NOT blurred, that is in the middle of the blurred layers, and it has the multiply layer setting. The
original text and the original text copy are the original text layers. NOTE: If your final version does not
look like my text uptop, but looks close to it, or doesn't look close to it at all, then try to go over the steps
again. If still not similar, then try the whole thing over again, but blur it by more than 3 pixels.

Pasul 1
Creati un nou document de 100x100 pixeli. Umpleti fondul stratului 1 cu negru. Creati un nou
strat. Umpleti-l cu gri 50%. Dublati acest strat de 3 ori. Pentru simplificare numiti straturile ca in

Step 1

Step 2
Use Difference Clouds Filter on Layer 1: Filter> Render> Difference Clouds, ensure default
colors are chosen by typing "D". Equalize Layer 1: Image> Adjust> Equalize. For a more cloudy effect
repeat (1) and (2). Repeat (1) and (2) on Layer 2, Layer 3 and Layer 4. Change the Transparency of Layers
1, 2 and 3 to 50%.

Pasul 3
Faceti sferice straturile 1, 2, 3 si 4, astfel: Filter> Distort> Spherize - 100%, Normal. Folositi
unealta Circle Marqueesi alegeti o zona in stratul1 care sa includa zona care a fost facuta sfera, dar care
nu atinge marginile desenului. Inversati selectia: Shift-Control-I. Apasati butonul Delete. Alegeti stratul 2
si apasati Delete. Alegeti stratul 3 si apasati Delete. Alegeti stratul 4 si apasati Delete. Deselectati: Ctrl-D.
Mariti dimensiunea panzei: Image> Canvas Size - 200x200 pixeli. Umpleti fondul din nou cu negru.
Step 3
Spherize Layers 1,2,3 and 4: Filter> Distort> Spherize - 100%, Normal. Use the Circle Marquee
tool choose an area of Layer 1 that includes the area that was spherized but does not touch the sides of the
picture. Invert the selection: Shift-Control-I. Hit the Delete button. Choose Layer 2 and hit Delete. Choose
Layer 3 and hit Delete. Choose Layer 4 and hit Delete. Deselect: Ctrl-D. Increase the size of the canvas:
Image> Canvas Size - 200x200 pixels. Fill the Background with Black again.

Step 4
Before starting this step, make sure you are in RGB mode. Tick 'Colorize' case in Hue/Sat. menu.

Copiati straturile 1, 2, 3 si 4, plasand straturile in ordinea aratata mai jos. Modificati
transparenta stratului 4 copiat la 50%. Umbriti Gaussian copiile straturilor 1, 2, 3 si 4: Filter> Blur>
Guassian Blur - Radius=15

Step 5
Copy Layers 1,2,3 and 4, placing the layers in the order shown in image below. Adjust the
Transparency of Layer 4 Copy to 50%. Gaussian Blur Layer 1 Copy, Layer 2 Copy, Layer 3 Copy and
Layer 4 Copy: Filter> Blur> Guassian Blur - Radius=15

Turtiti cele patru straturi umbrite intr-unul singur alegand stratul 4 copiat si lovind astfel:
Control-E de 3 ori. Copiati nivelul turtit creat si mutati-l in partea de sus a listei de straturi. Modificati
transparenta stratului umbrit din varf pana credeti ca arata bine. Control-Click stratul 1. Acest lucru va
selecta stratul 1. Inversati selectia: Control-Shift-I. Alegeti stratul umbrit din varf si apasati Delete.
Step 6 (a subtle difference)
Flatten the four blurred layers into one layer by choosing Layer 4 Copy and hitting: Control-E
three times. Copy the flattened level you created and move it to the top of the Layers list. Adjust the
tranparency of the blurred Layer at the top until you think it looks good. Control-Click Layer 1. This
selects the shape of Layer 1. Invert the selection: Control-Shift-I. Choose the Top blurred layer and hit
Delete.

Pasul 1
Sa incepem prin deschiderea unui nou document (Ctrl+N) cu prim planul alb si fodul negru.
Mergeti la tebelul de canale si faceti un nou canal (Alpha1).

Step 1
Let's start by opening a new document (Ctrl+N) with white as the foreground and black
background. Go to the channels tab, and click to make a new channel (Alpha1).

Pasul 2
Folosind unealta Rectangle Marquee desenati un patrat si umpleti-l cu alb. Apasati Ctrl+D pentru
a deselecta.

Step 2
Using the Rectangle Marquee tool draw out a square with and fill with white. Press Ctrl+D to
deselect.

Pasul 3
Apoi mergeti la: Filter> Blur> Gaussian Blur. Folositi o setare intre 3 si 10; cu cat este mai mare
numarul cu atat coltul obtinut va fi mai rotund.
Step 3
Next go to Filter> Blur> Gaussian Blur. Use a setting between 3 and 10, higher the number the
more round corner you will get.

Pasul 4
Acum pentru a avea o imagine neteda mergeti la: Image> Adjust> Levels (or Ctrl+L). Impingeti
nivelul negru din stanga si nivelul alb din dreapta spre centru pana ca imaginea dumneavoastra este
frumoasa si neteda, sau scrieti 120 si 140 asa ca mai jos:

Now to smooth the image go to Image> Adjust> Levels (or Ctrl+L). Pull the left black level and
right white level towards the middle until you image is nice and smooth, or type in 120 and 140 as shown
below :

Pasul 5
Acum aveti clturile rotunde! Acum incarcati selectia prin tinand apasata tasta Ctrl si apasand
butonul drept al mouse-ului pe canalul Alpha1, apoi apasati pe canalul RGB si mergeti inapoi la tabelul de
straturi si faceti un nou strat si umpleti-l cu o culoare la alegere.

Step 5
You now have your round corners! Now load selection by pressing the Ctrl and right click the
Alpha1 channel, then click on the RGB channel and go back to the layers tab, and make a new layer, fill it
with the color of your choice.

Step 3
Create a new layer, and name it shadow. Now with the selection still on, draw a black line using
the Line tool, set the weight to 4 pixels using the Line Options.

Nu uitati sa selectati prim planul si fondul din optiunile Gradient.
Step 2
Fill the selection using the Radial Gradient tool with white as the foreground and black as the
background. Don't forget to select foreground to background in the Gradient Options.

Pasul 3
Acum pentru un efect de catifea nemaipomenit mergeti la: Image> Adjust> Curves si modificati
setarile ca mai jos. Setati grosimea la 4 pixeli folosind optiunile de linii.

Step 3
Now for the cool satin effect we will go to Image> Adjust> Curves and adjust the setting as
shown below. Set the weight to 4 pixels using the Line Options.

Pasul 4
Pentru a aplica culoarea mergeti la: Image> Adjust> Variations. Asigurati-va ca este selectat
“Midtones”. Acum plicati culoarea selectata sau combinatii de culori pentru a va crea sfera.

Step 4
To apply color, go to Image> Adjust> Variations. Make sure the 'Midtones' is ticked. Now apply
the selected color or combinations of colors to create your sphere.

This tutorial shows how to make this image. There are three sections: Spheres, Shadows,Colors.

Creati un nou strat.


Folositi unealta Circle Marquee pentru a face o selectie circulara (tineti apasata tasta SHIFT pentru a avea
o selectie circulara perfecta).
Alegeti culorile implicite [ D ] . Inversati astfel incat fondul sa fie negru si prim planul alb.
Apasati de doua ori pe unealta Gradient. Alegeti fondul si prim planul. Tipul va fi radial.
Apasati si tineti mouse-ul in zona din dreapta sus a selectiei circulare (aceasta este zona care va fi
luminata).

Create a new Layer.


Use the Circle Marquee Tool to make a circular selection (hold the SHIFT key down to restrict the
selection to a perfect circle).
Choose the Default Colors [ D ] . Invert this so that black is the background and white is the foreground.
Double-click the Gradient Tool. Choose Background to Foreground. The Type will be Radial.
Click and hold the mouse in the top right area of the circular selection (this is where the highlight will
be).

SFERE
Repetati selectia sferica a tutorialului pentru a crea sferele care sa ramana. Cel mai bine este sa faceti mai
intai “fata” sferei si sa continuati cu “spatele”. Pe masura ce faceti fiecare sfera marimea se va schimba
corespunzator pozitiei pe care o va avea pe inel. Ceea ce nu este evident este faptul ca pe masura ce sferele
sunt plasate spre partea din “spate” a inelului unghiul fata de “sursa de lumina” se va schimba. Sferele din
fata vor avea un unghi de gradatie in jur de 45 de grade (din partea din dreapta sus spre stanga jos, asa
cum s-a explicat mai sus). Dar pe masura ce mergeti spre “spate” schimbati progresiv unghiul (cand
folositi unealta Gradient schimbati punctul de incidenta astfel incat sa fie un grad putin mai sus). Cand
mi-am realizat sfera, unghiul de gradatie din spate a fost aproape orizontal. Daca este necesar schimbati
ordinea straturilor de sfere astfel incat sa se suprapuna corect.

SPHERE
Repeat the Sphere section of the tutorial to create the remaining spheres. It is best to make the 'front'
Sphere first and progress backwards. As you make each sphere the size will obviously change according to
its relative position in the ring. What is not so obvious is as the spheres are placed further 'back' in the
ring the angle from the 'light source' will change. The spheres in front should have a gradient angle of
about 45 degrees (upper right to lower left, as described above). But as you go 'back', change the angle to
be progressively shallower (when using the gradient Tool change the release point to be just a tad higher).
When I got to sphere in the back the gradient angle was almost horizontal. If necessary, change the order
of the Sphere Layers so they overlap correctly.

UMBRE
Creati un nou strat sub stratul sferei. Acest strat va fi stratul de umbra al sferei. CTRL-Click pe stratul
sferei ( asa selectati forma sferei) dar fiti siguri ca noul strat este inca activ. Umpleti selectia cu negru.
Deselectati [ CTRL-D ]. Umbriti Gaussian cu o raza de 3-4. Modificati opacitatea la mai putin de 70%.
Mutati umbra la o distanta potrivita spre stanga si in jos (urmariti acelasi unghi pe care l-ati folosit cu
unealta de gradatie pentru sfera). CTRL-Click pe stratul care contine sfera de sub umbra. Inversati selectia
[ CTRL-SHFT-I ]. DELETE. Repetati sectiunea de umbre a tutorialului pentru a crea umbre remanente.
Unele sfere din spatele inelului s-ar putea sa nu aiba o sfera sub ele pentru a fi aplicata o umbra. Creati un
nou strat si plasati-l in partea de jos a listei straturilor (exact deasupra stratului de fond). In timp ce tineti
apasat butonul SHIFT apasati CTRL-click pe fiecare strat de sfere (nu pe umbre) pana ce obtineti o
selectie mare care sa cuprinda formele tuturor sferelor. Umpleti aceasta selectie cu negru [ EDIT , FILL ,
Black ]. Deselectati [ CTRL-D].[ SHFT-CTRL-T ] readuce fereastra Layer Transform. Apasati pe cutia
Retain Proportions si schimbati inaltimea si latimea cu 70%. Mutati stratul in pozitia corecta din imagine.
Umbriti Gaussian cu o raza de 6. Modificati opacitatea la mai putin de 70%.

SHADOWS
Create a new Layer beneath a Sphere Layer. This Layer will be that Sphere's shadow. CTRL-Click the
Sphere Layer ( this selects the sphere shape ) but be sure the new layer is still the active Layer. Fill the
selection with Black. Deselect [ CTRL-D ]. Gaussian Blur - Radius 3-4 Adjust the Opacity to less than
70%. Move the shadow an appropriate distance to the left and downward (follow the same angle you used
with the gradient tool for that sphere). CTRL-Click the Layer that contains the Sphere BENEATH the
shadow. Invert the selection [ CTRL-SHFT-I ]. DELETE. Repeat the Shadows section of the tutorial to
create the remaining shadows. Some spheres in the back of the ring may not have a sphere beneath them
to cast a shadow onto. Create a New Layer and place it at the bottom of the layers list (just above the
Background Layer). While holding the SHIFT button, CTRL-click each Sphere Layer (not the shadows)
until you have one large selection that encompasses the shapes of all of the Spheres. Fill this selection
with Black [ EDIT , FILL , Black ]. Deselect [ CTRL-D]. [ SHFT-CTRL-T ] brings up the Layer
Transform window. Click the Retain Proportions box and change the height and width to 70 percent.
Move the layer to its correct position in the image. Gaussain Blur - Radius 6. Adjust the Opacity to less
than 70%.

CULORI
Alegeti un strat de sfere. [ CTRL-U ] va readuce fereastra Hue/Saturation. Apasati pe cutia Colorize si
trageti nuanta din stanga aproximativ pana la -125 (aceasta va face sfera albastra). Apasati OK. Repetati
pentru fiecare strat de sfere. Creati un nou strat si plasati-l in partea de sus a straturilor. Schimbati unealta
Gradient cu cea Linear. Trageti si porniti din partea dreapta jos spre stanga sus. [ CTRL-U ], Colorize.
Lasati culoarea rosie. Aapsati OK. Schimbati efectele stratului de la Normal la Soft Light.

COLORS
Choose a Sphere Layer. [ CTRL-U ] brings up the Hue/Saturation window. Click the Colorize box and
drag the hue left to about -125 (this changes the Sphere to Blue). Click OK. Repeat for each Sphere Layer.
Create a New Layer and place it at the top of the Layer stack. Change the Gradient Tool Type to Linear.
Drag and release from the bottom right to the top left. [ CTRL-U ] , Colorize. Leave the color Red. Click
OK. Change the Layer Effects from Normal to Soft Light.

 TEXT IN FLACARI
 TEXT ON FIRE

Pasul 1
Mai intai deschideti un nou document in modul grayscale mode (nivel gri). Scrieti-va textul in
alb (cat mai mare posibil) avand un fond negru. Incepand cu stratul de sus apasati Ctrl+E pentru a turti
textul si fondul intr-un singur strat.

Step 1
First of all, open a new document in grayscale mode (grey level). Type your text in white (the
biggest possible) with a black background color. From the top layer press Ctrl+E to flatten the text and
background in one layer.

Pasul 2
Rotiti imaginea cu 90&deg; clockwise: Image> Rotate: 90 CW. Selectati: Filter> Stylize> Wind.
Selectati “Wind” si “Din partea dreapta”. Mergeti la: Filter> Stylize> Diffuse, avand optiunile implicite
active. Selectati: Image> Rotate: 90 CCW.

Step 2
Rotate the image 90&deg; clockwise: Image> Rotate: 90 CW. Select: Filter> Stylize> Wind. Tick
'Wind' and 'From the right'. Go to: Filter> Stylize> Diffuse, with the default options on. Select Image>
Rotate: 90 CCW.

Pasul 3
Ei bine acum mergeti la: Filter> Blur> Gaussian Blur, cu o raza de 2.0 pixeli.

Step 3
Good, now go to: Filter> Blur> Gaussian Blur, with a Radius of 2.0 pixels.

Pasul 4
Mergeti la: Filter> Distort> Ripple, cu optiunile implicite active.

Step 4
Go to: Filter> Distort> Ripple, with the default options on.

Pasul 5
Apoi, selectati: Image> Mode> Indexed Color, si apoi Image> Mode> Color Tables, alegeti
“Black Body”. Daca aveti probleme cu culorile inseamna ca nu ati inceput in modul Grayscale (Image>
Mode Grayscale).

Step 5
Next, select: Image> Mode> Indexed Color, and then Image> Mode> Color Tables, choose 'Black
Body'. If you have problems with colors, that means you did not start in Grayscale mode (Image> Mode
Grayscale).

 TEXTURA GRADUALA
 TEXTURED GRADIENTS

Pasul 1
Mai intai de toate deschideti o imagine si creati un text/ obiect care vreti sa aiba o textura
graduala. Asigurati-va ca “Preserve Transparency” este activa. Mergeti la unealta Gradient si folositi
oricare gradatie care are o culoare inchisa si una deschisa. Eu personal folosesc o gradatie alb-negru-alb.
Acum aplicati gradatia de sus in jos (puteti sa o schimbati oricand mai tarziu).

Step 1
First of all, open up an image and create the text/object you want to have a texture-gradient on.
Make sure 'Preserve Transparency' is on. Go to the Gradient tool and use any gradient that has a dark
color and a light color. I personally used white-black-white as my gradient. Now apply the gradient in a
top-down manner (you can change this anytime later).

Pasul 2
S-ar putea sa arate putin ciudat (ca la mine, cu albul intrand in albul fondului) asa ca am adaugat
un contur la aceasta. Pentru a face asta, Ctrl-Click pe stratul cu textul/ obiectul si creati un nou strat.
Obiextul dumneavoastra ar trebui sa aiba contur, alegeti culoarea neagra (sau orice alta culoare vreti sa fie
conturul) si apoi mergeti la: Edit> Stroke> si faceti “Outside” de 1 pixel grodime.

Step 2
It might look a little weird (like mine, with the white blending into the white background) so I
added an outline to it. To do that, Ctrl-Click on the layer with the object/text and then create a new layer.
Your object should be outlined, pick the color black (or whatever color you want your outline to be) and
then go to Edit> Stroke> and make it 'Outside', with 1 pixel width.

Este mult mai bine cu contur. Ceea ce avem de facut acum este sa facem un nou strat. Umpleti-l
cu orice textura sau culoare vreti si apoi setati optiunea “Overlay” (si alte optiuni cum ar fi “screen”
functioneaza de asemenea). Asta este! Aveti o textura graduala. Puteti sa va jucati cu diferite gradatii pe
stratul original si sa schimbati textura din stratul de textura. Aici aveti unele variatiuni pe care le-am
realizat.

Step 3
Much better with the outline. What we have to do now, is to make a new layer. Fill that layer with
whatever texture/color you want, then set the layer option to 'Overlay' (other options such as screen will
work too). There you go! It's a gradiented-texture. You can play around with different gradients on the
original layer, and change the texture on the texture layer. Here are some variations I've come up with.

In a doua variatiune am folosit pentru gradatii violet, verde si portocaliu care sunt preselectate in
photoshop si le-am dat o inclinatie finala personala.

On the second variation that I got, I used the Violet, Green, Orange gradient that is preset into photoshop,
and beveled it for a final touch.

In order to make a triangle in Photoshop we will need to use the Line Tool . Double click on the
Line Tool to open the Line Options, and select the weight, make sure the 'Arrowheads Start' is ticked then
click the shape button to select the width and the length.

Difference Clouds - make sure black and white are the foreground and background colors [D] before doing
this: Image> Adjust> Equalize... Then do some more 'Difference Clouds' until you like this cloudy layer.

Pasul 4
Schimbati culoarea stratului prin modificarea Hue/Saturation: Ctrl-U. Cand aveti culoarea care
va place apasati OK. Mutati glisorul de “Opacity” la 60% pentru acest nivel.

Change the color of the layer by adjusting the Hue/Saturation: Ctrl-U. When you have a color you
like click OK. Move the 'Opacity' slider for this level to about 60%.

Pasul 5
Creati un strat deasupra tuturor celorlalte straturi. Umpleti-l cu alb. Apasati “D” pentru a reveni
la culorile implicite. Apoi faceti Difference Clouds, Equalize si de mai multe ori Difference Clouds.
Folositi un filtru de stantare: Filter> Pixelate> Mezotint, puncte mici. Apoi Select> Color Range; folositi
picatura pentru a alege o culoare din partea cea mai deschisa a acestui nivel – astfel ar trebui sa se
schimbe culoarea din prim plan cu cea aleasa. Acum realizati Select> Similar ... Inversati aceasta selectie:
Shift-Ctrl I ... Delete ... Ctrl-D pentru a deselecta .... Acum schimbati opacitatea stratului la 50% si trageti
intregul strat exact sub stratul text.

Step 5
Create a new layer above all other layers. Fill it with white. Hit "D" to restore the default colors.
Then do a Difference Clouds, Equalize, and a few more Difference Clouds. Use a mezzotint filter: Filter>
Pixelate> Mezotint, small dots. Then Select> Color Range, use the eye drop to choose the one of the
lightest part of this level - this should change the foreground color to this color. Now do a Select>
Similar .....Invert this selection: Shift-Ctrl-I.......Delete......Ctrl-D to deselect..... Now change the layer
opacity to about 50% and drag the whole layer to just below the text layer.

Pasul 6
Alegeti stratul cu basici si folostiti unealta Lasso tool pentru a sterge totul in afara de basicile
care se afla deasupra fiecarei litere. Distorsionati ce a ramas: Filter> Distort> Ripple, Size=Large ,
Amount=100. Apasati Ctrl-U si modificati “Lightness” departe spre dreapta [99%].

Step 6
Choose the bubble layer and use the Lasso tool to delete everything but the bubbles directly above
each letter. Distort what is left using the: Filter> Distort> Ripple, Size=Large , Amount=100. Press Ctrl-U
and adjust the 'Lightness' to the far right [99%].

Umduiti apa [size=medium , amount = 100]. Unduiti textul [size=small , amount = 60].

Step 2
Using the gradient tool, in options where you choose your gradients, there's a drop-down bar that
should say 'Normal'. Change that do 'Difference'. Also make 'Linear' to 'Radial'. Now select a gradient of
your choice.

Pasul 3
Acum avand in mana unealta “Gradient” trageti din stanga sus in jos spre coltul din dreapta jos.
Acum faceti de la dreapta jos spre stanga sus. Jucati-va cu acestea, faceti-le din orice parte vreti, de cate
ori vreti, etc etc. Cu cat aveti mai multe culori in gradatie cu atat mai excentric si mai ciudat va fi. La
mine a iesit asta.

Step 3
Now with the Gradient tool at hand, drag from the top left down to the bottom right. Now do
bottom right to top left. Play around with it, doing it from wherever you want, as long as you want, etc etc.
The more colors you have in the gradient the more wackier and crazier it gets. Mine turned out like this.

gradient to the line.

Dezactivati cutia “Preserve Transparency” pentru strat. Acum mergeti la filtrul de valuri: Filter>
Distort> Wave. Lasati optiunile setate ca implicite cu exceptia celor mentionate mai jos:
Type: Sine.
Horiz: scale to 0%
Vert: scale to 25% to 50%
Undefined Areas: Repeat Edge Pixels.
Acum apasati butonul “Randomize” pana ce sarma dumneavoastra arata asa cum vreti. Apoi apasati OK
pentru a aplica filtrul. Daca vreti sa aveti o indoitura mai mica a sarmei dumneavoastra dati o setare mai
joasa pentru glisorul “Vertical”.

Step 6
Unclick the 'Preserve Transparency' box of the layer. Now go to the Wave filter: Filter> Distort>
Wave. Leave the options set to Default except for the ones mentioned below.
Type: Sine.
Horiz: scale to 0%
Vert: scale to 25% to 50%
Undefined Areas: Repeat Edge Pixels.
Now just hit the 'Randomize' button until your wire looks the way you want it to. Then click OK to apply
the filter. If you want less bend in your wire, lower the setting for the 'Vertical' slider.

Pentru a adauga culoare trebuie sa dublati stratul dumneavoastra de sarma, sa va intoarceti la
“Preserve Transparency” si sa umpleti sarma dublata cu culoarea pe care o vreti. Apoi setati pentru stratul

To add color, just Duplicate your wire layer, turn on the 'Preserve Transparency', and fill the
duplicate wire with the color of your choice. Then set the color layer to either 'Overlay' or 'Softlight'.

'Preserve Transparency' is ticked on before filling it).&nbsp;

Pasul 9
Odata ce este umplut, selectati continutul stratului prin tinerea apasata a tastei Ctrl si apasand pe
numele stratului. Cu selectia selectata din jurul formei sarmei alegeti orice unealta Selection Marquee si
folositi tastele cu sageti pentru a impinge selectia in jos cu 1-2 pixeli, in functie de cat de groasa este
sarma dumneavoastra si apasati Delete.

Step 9
Once it's filled, select the contents of the layer by holding your Ctrl key and clicking the Layer
name. With the selection selected around the wire shape, choose any Selection Marquee tool and use your
arrow keys to nudge the selection down by 1-2 pixels, depending on how thick your wire is, and hit
Delete.

Pasul 10
Daca credeti ca luminozitatea este prea puternica modificati opacitatea stratului sau aplicati o
umbrire Gaussiana de 0.5.

If you feel the highlight is too strong, adjust the 'Opacity' of the layer, or apply a 0.5 Gaussian
Blur to it.

Start by creating a new document.


Fill the backgound with the color or texture of your choice (I used 50% Gray).
Go to the Paths window.
Use the Pen tool to create a path.

Alegeti o pensula care sa aiba latimea sarmei pe care vreti sa o creati.
Intorceti-va la drumuri si apasati pe <i> lovind drumul cu tabelul de culori de prim plan aflat in partea de
jos a ferestrei de drumuri (asigurati-va ca prim planul este alb).
Umbriti Gaussian atat cat sa estompati muchiile neuniforme. Apoi modificati nivelurile de intrare (CTRL-
L – alunecati exteriorul atent spre mijloc).
Repetati pana ce veti fi satisfacuti cu forma sarmei dumneavoastra. Dar fiti atent sa nu supra-umbriti sau
sa supra-modificati.
NOTA: Ascunderea drumului ajuta foarte mult.

PART TWO

Go to Channels and create a new Channel.


Choose a brush that is the width of the wire you want to create.
Return to Paths and click the <i>strokes path with foreground color tab at the bottom of the Paths window
(be sure the foreground is white)
Gaussian Blur just enough to fade the jagged edges. Then Adjust the Input Levels (CTRL-L - slide the
outer markes towards the middle).
Repeat until you are satisfied with the shape of your wire. But be careful to not over-blur or over-adjust.
NOTE: Hiding the path helps a lot.

PARTEA A TREIA

Copiati canalul.
CTRL-Click pe noul canal. Astfel selectati partile vizibile ale canalului.
Faceti o serie de umbriri Gaussiene cu raze avand valori descrescande. In exemplul meu am folosit 1.25,

Mergeti la canale. CTRL-click pe canalul ne-umbrit.
Mergeti la straturi. Alegeti stratul sarmei. Inversati selectia [SHIFT-CTRL-I] and DELETE.

PART THREE

Copy the channel.


CTRL-Click the new channel. This selects the visible parts of the Channel.
Do a series of Gaussian Blurs with decreasing Radius values. In my example I went 1.25, 1, .5, .2. Then
Deselect [CTRL-D] and do one more Gaussian Blur with whatever value fades all jagged edges but leaves
the shape of the wire intact.
Go to Layers. Create a new Layer. Fill it with 50% Gray.
Go to Lighting Effects. Use a couple different light sources from different directions, and use the blurred
channel as the Texture Channel.
Go to Channels. CTRL-click the non-blurred channel.
Go to Layers. Choose the wire layer. Invert the selection [SHIFT-CTRL-I] and DELETE.

Conceptele urmatoare privesc securitatea, care este motivul necesitatii unui firewall (parafoc). Trebuie sa
intelegeti analogia cu hotelul inainte de aciti mai departe.

The following concepts have to do with security, which is the whole reason you need a firewall. You will
need to understand thehotel analogy before reading this.

Conceptul 16: IRC Conversatia si Atacul cu arme atomice


Oaspetii care converseaza prin telefon au tendinta de a invita la intreruperi neplacute din partea altor
oaspeti ai altor hoteluri. Acestia spun receptiei hotelului dumneavoastra sa ramana pe fir. Fara sa vada,
receptia face acest lucru. Fara un operator care sa blocheze acest lucru, oaspetii hotelului Gates au fost
intr-adevar deranjati.

Concept 16: IRC Chat and Nuking


Guests who chat on the phone tend to invite harassing interruptions from guests at other hotels. These
guests tell your hotel front desk to hang up. Blindly, front desk does it. Without an operator to block this,
the guests at the Gates Motel get really annoyed.

Firewall: Oamenii care folosesc grupurile de conversatie (IRC) au tendinta de a invita la interferenta

Firewall: People who use chatgroups (IRC) tend to invite harassing interference from other malicious
chatters. These 'lamers' send 'ICMP nukes' and other datagrams to tell your system that it can no longer
reach the chat server. Without ConSeal PC FIREWALL to block this, IRC chat on Windows systems can
be really annoying (currently, no other desktop firewall can block ICMP).

connection has closed, then pretend to be them. Without a secure connection (e.g. VPN), your system

Daca un oaspete Listen Inn poate pretinde ca este Directory Assistance (411) = Informatiile (930), poate sa

The hotel telephone system is analogous because your computer plays host to the applications you run.
Setting up the firewall will be like telling the hotel operator how s/he is allowed to let calls and messages
get through. You, the computer user, are both 'hotel manager' and 'VIP guest'.

Concept 1: Applications and Services


Hotels have guests and hire staff that serve the guests.

Firewall: Computerele au aplicatii (de exemplu e-mail, browsere de web) si folosesc serviciile sistemului

service on another system. With TCP/IP and UDP/IP, communication uses IP addresses of the computers
and port numbers.

Conceptul 3: Fara un Firewall


Fara un operator, oricine poate sa sune in interior sau in exterior. Se poate sa nu fie nimeni la acea
extensie. Alternativ, se poate ca persoana respectiva sa raspunda sau sa nu raspunda la telefon.

Concept 3: Without a Firewall


Without an operator, anyone may call in or out. There may be nobody at that extension. Alternately, the
person may or may not answer their phone.

Firewall: Fara un firewall, communicarea se realizeaza liber, inauntru sau in afara. Nu toate porturile au
serviciile care sa le utilizeze. Alternativ, o aplicatie/ serviciu poate sau sa nu accepte o incercare de
conectare.

Firewall: Without a firewall, communications are freely attempted, in or out. Not all ports have services
using them. Alternately, an application/service may or may not accept a connection attempt.

When the operator is working, s/he decides which extensions may make calls and which other hotel and

Concept 5: Other PC-based Firewalls


Older operators cannot block calls to some of the key hotel staff, such as the accountant. Your hotel has an
operator that can screen all calls.

Concept 6: Other Protocols (IPX, NetBEUI, etc.)


Older operators don't know that hotels can have fax machines or Morse Code, and can't screen them at all.
Your hotel has an operator that knows the hotel can have fax machines, Morse code, etc. Soon the perator
will be taught how to screen them, but for now you tell the operator whether these other media should be
allowed or blocked (they are blocked by default).

Firewall: Alte PC-uri bazate pe firewalls nu intercepteaza pachetele de date ale altor protocoale cum ar fi
IPX sau NetBEUI si nu pot sa le monitorizeze deloc. ConSeal PC FIREWALL intercepteaza toate

Firewall: Other PC-based firewalls don't intercept data packets of other protocols such as IPX or
NetBEUI, and can't screen them at all. ConSeal PC FIREWALL intercepts all data packets of these
protocols. In the future, ConSeal PC FIREWALL will be able to screen these protocols, but for now, you
can choose whether to allow or block them (they are blocked by default, see the Advanced button on the
ruleset page).

Firewall: A firewall can block incoming connection attempts on any particular TCP/IP port while allowing
the same port to be used for outgoing connections.

Concept 8: This Firewall is a "Packet Filter"


The operator can block a call, but s/he does not censor what is said. A security guard or chaperon might

Concept 9: TCP/IP compared to UDP/IP


Some people always make "person-to-person" calls and others leave a message. When you leave a message
you are never quite sure that the other person got it.

Firewall: Aplicatiile folosesc TCP/IP pentru a face o conectare sau folosesc UDP/IP pentru a trimite o
singura "datagrama". Cu UDP/IP nu sunteti niciodata siguri ca aplicatia cealata a primit-o.

Firewall: Applications either use TCP/IP to make a connection or they use UDP/IP to send a single
"datagram". With UDP/IP, you are never quite sure that the other application got it.

Conceptul 10: Blocarea datelor UDP/IP

Concept 10: Blocking UDP/IP Data


If the operator is instructed to allow a guest to leave messages for another person, (in another hotel), then
the operator will also allow that other person to leave a message for the guest.

Firewall: Daca ConSeal PC FIREWALL are o regula de a permite aplicatiilor/ serviciilor sa trimita
UDP/IP altor sisteme pe anumite porturi, acele sisteme vor putea trimite folosind aceleasi porturi. Motivul
este acela ca nu este clar cand un sistem raspunde interpelarii dumneavoastra sau cand o face din proprie
initiativa.

Firewall: If ConSeal PC FIREWALL has a rule to allow applications/service to send UDP/IP to another
system(s) on certain ports, that other system(s) may send to you using the same ports. The reason is that it
is not clear when a system is replying to you and when it is taking the initiative.

Conceptul 11: Cum sunt folosite porturile (1)

Concept 11: How Ports are Used (1)


The white courtesy phone in the lobby is available for all guests to make outgoing calls. Typically, hotel
staff can be reached at extensions 1 to 1023. Courtesy phones have extensions 1024 to 5000. This way,
guests don't tie up extensions assigned to hotel services (room service, front desk, etc.).

Firewall: O agama (locala) de porturi este disponibila pentru aplicatii care comunica cu serviciile altor

Firewall: A range of (local) ports is available for applications that communicate with services on other
systems. Typically, services are available on ports 1 to 1023. Ports for temporary use range from 1024 to
5000. This way, applications/services don't tie up a port assigned to your system's services (file shares,
identification, etc.).
Conceptul 12: Cum sunt folosite porturile (2)
O conventie in domeniul hotelier este aceea ca Holul are interiorul 80, Portarul are 53, Baiatul de serviciu
are 23, etc. In acest fel, oaspetii stiu cum sa gaseasca personalul hotelului in orice hotel. Oaspetii sunt
rugati sa nu foloseasca interioarele personalului pentru telefoane personale.

Concept 12: How Ports are Used (2)


A convention in the hotel business is that the Lounge is at ext. 80, the Concierge is at ext. 53, a Bellman is
at ext. 23, etc. This way, guests know how to reach staff in other hotels. Guests are kindly requested not to
use the staff's extensions for personal calls.

Firewall: O conventie in TCP/IP si UDP/IP spune ca protocoalele in acele anumite servicii sunt disponibile
pe anumite porturi, de exemplu serverele de web au portul 80, DNS are 53, telnet are 23, etc. In acest fel,
aplicatiile dumneavoastra stiu cum sa regaseasca serviciile in alte sisteme. Aplicatiile nu trebuie sa
foloseasca aceste extensii in alte scopuri (asa cu am spus in Conceptul 11, aplicatiiile acceseaza in general
serviciile in gama 1 – 1023 si folosesc un port local intre 1024 si 5000).

Firewall: A convention in the TCP/IP and UDP/IP protocols in that particular services are available at
particular ports, e.g. Web servers are at port 80, DNS is at 53, telnet is at 23, etc. This way, your
applications know how to reach services on other systems. Applications should not to use these extensions
inappropriately (as stated in Concept 11, applications usually access services in the range 1 to 1023 and
use a local port from 1024 to 5000).

circumstances, such as 1) only when a certain guest is in the hotel, 2) when cell phones are in use, 3)
when the call is going through the hotel's secure phone lines, etc.

Firewall: Cu ConSeal PC FIREWALL puteti sa stabiliti o regula prin care sa se permita doar anumite
comunicatii doar in anumite circumstante predefinite, cum ar fi 1) cand functioneaza o anumita aplicatie,
2) cand este activa o legatura dialup este activa, 3) cand comunicarea este printr-o legatura ConSeal PC
VPN (Virtual Private Network), etc.

Firewall: With ConSeal PC FIREWALL, you can make a rule that allows certain communications only
under certain circumstances, such as 1) when a certain application is running, 2) when a dialup
connection is active, 3) when communication is through a ConSeal PC VPN (Virtual Private Network)
connection, etc.

Conceptul 14: Regula prioritatilor


Unele instructiuni pentru operator sunt mult mai importante decat altele. Prin stabilirea prioritatii pentru

Concept 14: Priority of Rules


Some instructions for the operator are more important than others. By assigning a priority to each one,
you control the order in which the operator reads and applies the instructions.

Firewall: Unele reguli s-ar peste celelalte. Prin stabilirea prioritatii (implicit este: 100), dumneavoastra
controlati ordinea in care regulile sa fie folosite si aplicate. Numerele mai mici stabilesc o prioritate mai
mare si sunt verificate mai intai.
Firewall: Some rules take precedence over others. By setting the priority (default: 100), you can control
the order in which rules are used and applied. Lower numbers assign a higher priority and are checked
first.

Conceptul 15: Paranoia totala si Razboaile de jocuri informatice


Acest hotel este in acelasi bloc cu altele. Un aspect particular este acela ca nu puteti sa dati nici un telefon
in alt hotel fara sa-i stiti adresa stradala. In prezent personalul hotelului uita usor, asa ca ei continua sa se
intrebe unul pe altul care este adresa la fiecare cateva minute. Daca operatorul opreste personalul hotelului
de la intrebarea adreselor stradale, oamenii nu ar mai vorbi deloc.

Concept 15: Total Paranoia and Info Wargames:


This hotel is on the same block as some others. One peculiar detail is that you can't make any call to
another hotel without knowing its street address. Today's hotel staff forget easily, so they keep asking each
other their address every few minutes. If the operator stops the hotel staff from exchanging street
addresses, people won't talk at all.

Firewall: Computerul dumneavoastra este in aceeasi retea cu altele. Un detaliu semnificativ este acela ca
dumneavoastra nu puteti comunica cu un alt computer fara sa-i stiti adresa Ethernet (acest lucru se face
prin ARP). Computerul dumneavoastra intrerupe acea informatie daca nu este folosita in mod constant,

Firewall: Your computer is on the same network as some others. One peculiar detail is that you can't
communicate with another computer without knowing it's Ethernet Address (this is done through ARP).
Your computer drops that information if it is not constantly used, so it keeps asking others for their
Ethernet Address every few minutes. If you block ARP, the systems won't talk at all. (Strangely, ARP
applies to dialup in a rather rhetorical form).
