n 2021, Ringhel aims to achieve a turnover of
two million euros, an accelerated increase from
2020 (800,000 euros). The company's new plat-
form, PROCESIO, is expected to contribute with
recurring sales of more than 500,000 euros. Af-
ter a new round of funding completed – 675,000
euros attracted by Seedblink, the team around
founder Mihai Dârzan can talk with new arguments
about revenues of tens of millions of euros through
PROCESIO. What is PROCESIO and how is PROCESIO
relevant to the energy industry? We got the an-
swers from Mihai Dârzan, founder and CEO Ringhel,
and Marian Voicu, CEO of PROCESIO.
Dear Mr Marian Voicu, what does the PROCE-
SIO platform actually do?
PROCESIO is a platform and a technology at the
same time. PROCESIO is a collaborative environ-
ment in which the business analyst can automate
business processes using components that already
exist in the platform or are pre-built by technical
people. PROCESIO can orchestrate and automate
business processes, based on its ability to intercon-
nect any other system through APIs. From this year,
PROCESIO can be used as a back-end for any soft-
ware. Basically, you no longer have to manage the
complexity of a micro-service-based, scalable and
distributed system – you use PROCESIO and with
it, you can build visual interfaces in any technology.
Say that PROCESSIO is suitable for any sec-
tor of activity, from HR and accounting to
customer relations, inventory management,
marketing and sales – almost all sectors that,
from the perspective of the energy indus-
try, we label "related". Is there any particu-
lar form of use specific to the energy sector
where PROCESIO can be useful?
Yes, there are at least three: switching the elec-
tricity and natural gas supplier, the transfer of in-

PROCESIO a apărut ca urmare nevoii com-
paniei de a adapta propriile sisteme la modifi-
cările legislative și operaționale. Metoda noas-
tră tradițională de lucru era să codăm fiecare
aplicație pentru clienții noștri, un proces de du-
rată care nu oferea mereu flexibilitatea necesară
pentru schimbările rapide din piață.
Am observat că putem fi de 10 ori mai eficienți
când construim aplicații fără a coda fiecare element
în parte de la zero. Apoi am dorit să oferim aceas-
tă capabilitate direct clienților noștri, adică să nu
mai fie nevoie ca ei să aștepte ca noi să venim cu
un anume software, ci să își poată construi singuri
aplicațiile de care au nevoie.

Dear Mr Mihai Dârzan, how has Ringhel's ex-
perience in the energy field contributed to
the emergence and development of PROCE-
SIO?
PROCESIO arose as a result of the company's
need to adapt its own systems to legislative and
operational changes. Our traditional method of
working was to code each application for our cus-
tomers, a lengthy process that did not always pro-
vide the flexibility needed for rapid changes in the
market.
We've noticed that we can be 10 times more ef-
ficient when we build applications without coding
each item from scratch. Then we wanted to offer
this capability directly to our customers, that is,
they no longer have to wait for us to come up with
certain software, but to be able to build their own
applications that they need.

Have you started testing PROCESIO with
Ringhel's existing customers? What are the
results?
Anyone who wishes can already sign up to
test the platform privately, in beta mode. We've
scheduled the public launch for July. We want these
months of beta operating to give us some time to
improve the platform based on feedback from first
users.
We have also recently partnered with SMSO, so
it is now possible to send automated SMSs from
PROCESIO.
You said that PROCESIO has a potential that
goes beyond the horizon of a single industry,
even one of the complexity of the energy
industry. First, you said, because it reduces
the pressure on IT departments in organiza-
tions and because "it provides a controlled
environment in which the IT department can
control the phenomenon called 'shadow IT'.
What does 'shadow IT' mean and how does
PROCESIO help?
Shadow IT is a phenomenon that has exploded
in the last 10 years. It happens when a company's
employees choose to use external IT services (in
most cases we're talking about software services)
instead of using those already available in the or-
ganization because they don't have other options
to simplify their work.
Shadow IT can be caused by several factors:
software that is too old or inflexible, too much work
burden on the IT professionals, a lack of IT special-
ists, the cloud service boom of the last decade, a
preference for easy-to-use software and a UI as
friendly as those in general consumer applications.
PROCESIO can be used to create custom ap-
plications that can be adapted or reused in differ-
ent scenarios, regardless of the industry in which a
company operates. Thus, employees of a company,
with or without technical training, no longer have
to look for external solutions, but they can create
their own applications, just as they want them, in a
secure internal digital sandbox.
It comes with a significant reduction in work-
load for the IT department, which will still be able
to maintain security and control over applications
created internally through PROCESIO.

tivează în piața de low-code/no-code.
Ce are PROCESIO și nu au compa-

rii nu mai sunt constrânși să aștepte o actualizare
de software de la producător (de la noi) pentru a
avea acces la o funcționalitate nouă, ci își pot imple-
menta singuri ce au nevoie. PROCESIO mai permite
testarea vizuală; pe măsură ce construiește proce-
sul, utilizatorul poate testa, acțiune cu acțiune, vali-
dând astfel că totul este în regulă. De asemenea, în
procesul de debugging (depanare / ajustare) vizual

Perhaps the most interesting promise that
PROCESIO comes with is that it allows the
direct involvement of business specialists

on API. Can you give us an example, prefer-
ably applicable in the energy area, or perhaps
even from the Ringhel experience?
This possibility is what excites us very much.
Maybe in the end we'll see a bridge to counter the
gap between geeks (IT guys) and suits (business
guys).
I can give as an example the change of energy
supplier, a process of great topicality now in Roma-
nia. When a consumer wants to change supplier, a
system is needed to migrate consumer information
from the distributor to the current and the new
supplier. We can configure this process in
the platform through several query,
verify, send actions that link data-
bases through API.
There are, I am con-

PROCESIO have and compa-

There are a lot of big names in this market, but
competition is still very fragmented. Each player has
its specialized solutions, either for certain niches or
for certain types of use.
Among our main differentiators at the moment
is the ability to create specific/customized actions
that extend the functionality of the platform. This
way users are no longer forced to wait for a soft-
ware update from the vendor (from us) to access
new functionality but can deploy what they need
by themselves. PROCESIO also allows visual test-
ing; as it builds the process, the user can test it
action by action, thus validating that everything is
OK. Also, in the process of visual debugging (trou-
bleshooting/adjustment) after running each pro-
cess, the user can inspect certain executions of
the processes it created and can identify what the
problems were, in a visual and fast way.

nevoie de autonomie când vine vorba de a-și adap-
ta pe orice context versiunea lor de PROCESIO. Așa
am dezvoltat conceptul Custom Actions, prin care o
persoană tehnică din cadrul unei companii poate să
dezvolte și să încarce acțiuni ce ulterior pot fi folo-
site de către oamenii de business în a crea procese
sau automatizări. Beneficiarii au nevoie să dispună
de conectori și acțiuni predefinite care să acopere
cât mai multe cazuri de integrare. De aceea, am prio-
ritizat capabilitățile de template-izare a apelurilor de
API și de declanșare a proceselor prin diferite eveni-
mente care se întâmplă în sisteme externe față de
platforma PROCESIO.

You turned once again to the investors and
accessed new financial resources to imple-
ment more quickly what you perceive as
market demands. Please give us some con-
crete examples of market feedback that
have directed you to certain types of ac-
tions within the PROCESIO team, both from
the perspective of product development and
from the perspective of marketing and com-
munication efforts!
The issues that have been highlighted most
among the market demands are also those that
have become our differentiators. We referred ear-
lier to the need to visually test and troubleshoot
the actions and processes created in the plat-
form. Then, companies and users need autonomy
when it comes to adapting their version of PRO-
CESIO for any context.
This is why we developed the concept of Cus-
tom Actions, whereby a technical person within a
company can develop and load actions that can
then be used by business people to create pro-
cesses or automation. Also, beneficiaries need
to have built-in connectors and actions to fit as
many integration cases as possible. That's why
we prioritized the capabilities to template the
API calls and trigger processes through different
events that happen in systems outside the PRO-
CESIO platform.
