INCIDENTUL CRITIC

Tem: Fragment din The Firebird, un vechi basm popular rusesc.


Obiective: Utiliznd aceast metod, elevii vor fi capabili:

s raporteze corect experiena din viaa real la ntmplrile din operele literare;
s lucreze n echip;
s exerseze persuasivitatea prin metode de argumentare;
s i foloseasc imaginaia i creativitatea;
s i dezvolte aptitudini de comunicare;
s alctuiasc ierarhii bazate pe argument;
s exerseze vorbitul n limba englez.

Prezentarea incidentului:

Prince Ivan comes to a crossroads


The Prince journeyed for many days, combing the countryside in search of the elusive firebird. Everywhere he
went, he met with disappointment, as nowhere could he find news of the firebird's whereabouts. Indeed, many times
he was told that the firebird did not exist, that it was merely a legend, and that he should give up his quest and return
home.
Prince Ivan knew, however, that he could not return home. The King, his father, had issued a
royal decree which could not be broken. Even if his madness for the firebird were to abate, the
order would still stand that Prince Ivan could not return home without the magical firebird by
his side.
So it was a dejected and weary Prince Ivan who arrived at a crossroads that gray and rainy morning. The steady
drizzle did not improve his mood as he studied the signpost indicating the roads ahead.
The first road was labeled "He who takes this road shall know hunger and cold."
The second road's sign stated "Whoever takes this road shall live, but his horse will die."

The third road was marked "The man who takes this road shall die, but his horse will live."

Prince Ivan thought about it for a moment, then chose:


A. The first road..
B. The second road..
C. The third road..

Este delimitat problema real din text. Elevii se vor mpri n trei tabere, n funcie de drumul
pe care l consider corect s-l urmeze Ivan. Fiecare echip va cuta argumente prin care s
justifice c drumul ales este cel mai avantajos. Va avea loc o dezbatere a echipei, prin care vor
ajunge la nite concluzii finale. Un reprezentant din echip va citi cu voce tare concluziile.
Va avea loc evaluarea, n care echipele discut ntre ele motivaiile alese i vor fi trasate anumite
concluzii.
Ulterior, fiecare elev va avea sarcina s-i imagieze o continuare pentru povestea lui Ivan, n
funcie de drumul ales i de discuiile care au avut loc n plen.
