rice festival de teatru se vrea o srbtoare, un schimb de opinii, de emoii, un loc de ntlnire ntre public, artiti i specialiti, de o parte i de alta a scenei. Teatrul pentru cei mici este un spaiu magic unde e nevoie de iubire pentru ca buretele sau lemnul s prind via: de iubirea noastr, a ppuarilor, a copiilor. Tocmai de aceea, are darul i puterea de a uni n timp generaii. Stm sub semnul unei diversiti artistice, culturale, estetice i, de aceea, pe scena de la NDRIC se vor ntlni oameni i ppui cu poveti fabuloase, fermectoare, care s fie cadoul din ghetele lui Mo Nicolae. ndric continu s deschid spiritul spectatorilor si - copii, tineri i aduli - spre acel univers poetic fr de care omul nu poate supravieui. Mi-ar plcea s dau timpul napoi, s m ntorc spre minunatul univers al copilriei i s vin zi de zi la NDRIC.

ny theatre festival is really meant to be a holiday, a rendezvous, an exchange of emotions and convictions, a meeting place between public, artists and critics. The theatre for children is a magical place where love is necessary to give life to the foam or the wood: our love, the love of puppeteers, the love of children. We are under the sign of artistic, cultural, aesthetic diversity, where, on the NDRIC stage, people and puppets will meet with charming, fabulous stories, which can represent the presents of Saint Nicholas. NDRIC keeps on opening the poetic spirit to his public, children, youngsters, adults, the worlds without which people could not survive. I would like to turn back the clock, to be child once again and to come to NDRIC every day.

Eugen Istodor: Eti copil ca ef la marionete? Clin Mocanu: mi permit luxul de a mai fi copil, din cnd n cnd, chiar i din poziia de ef la marionete, cum spui tu. Este un privilegiu s poi fi creator al strategiilor culturale, dar, n acelai timp i generatorul bucuriilor pentru copii. Ci i mai pot permite asta? Eu pot, c sunt magician. Eugen Istodor: Ppuarii sunt actori? Clin Mocanu: Ppuarii sunt mari actori. Valorile prin care se exprim ei sunt altele dect cele ale actorului de teatru dramatic. Ei nu pot fi pui pe acelai cntar. Este mare lucru s poi da suflet unui obiect animat (ppu) i prin el s comunici valori att de necesare formrii copilului: dreptate, adevr, speran, bucurie, optimism, voin... De fapt teatrul de animaie, prin actorii ppuari formeaz publicul pentru marea cultur, pentru teatrul dramatic unde protagoniti sunt actorii actori. Eugen Istodor: Ce nvei de la ppui? Clin Mocanu: Exact ce ntlneti mai rar n via: c binele nvinge rul, c minciuna are picioare scurte, c prietenul la nevoie se cunoate... dar s ne oprim c doare. Eugen Istodor: Cum reueti s te nelegi cu ppuile n termeni de management. Clin Mocanu: De ce nu m ntrebi cum m-a nelege n termeni politici. Eu a deveni ministrul ppuilor, a crea un consens n tragerea sforilor, pe baza unei platforme unanim agreate de poporul ppui. Ha, ha, ha.. m provoci. Mi omule. Mi omule, intervievatorule! Eugen Istodor: Ca trgtor de sfori, ce moral ai n fiecare zi a capriciilor altora? Eugen Istodor: As chief over the puppets are you as a child? Clin Mocanu: From time to time, I can afford being a child even if I am the manager of Tandarica Puppet Theatre.Its a great privilege to be the creator of cultural strategies, but, in the same time, the person generating childrens joys. How many of us can do this? I do because I am a magician. Eugen Istodor: Are the puppeteers actors? Clin Mocanu: The puppeteers, the animators are great actors.The means by which they express themselves are different from those of a dramatic actor. They cant be on the same scales. Its a big deal to animate a puppet or an object and with its help to comunicate the necessary value for educate a child: truth, justice, hope, joy, sanguinity, will... In fact, animation theatre, with the help of the puppeteers is traininig the public for the great culture,for the dramatic theatre where the protagonists are real actors. Eugen Istodor: What are you learning from the puppets? Clin Mocanu: The exact things we are very rarely meeting in life: that good defeats, that the lie has short legs, that a friend in deed its a friend in need...but, lets stop here because it hurts. Eugen Istodor: In management terms how can you make an agreement with the puppetts? Clin Mocanu: Why are not asking me about an agreement in political terms?Ill be the minister of the puppetts, Ill make a concord in manipulation based on a platform unanimously liked by the nation of puppetts . Ha, ha, ha.. you are trailling my coat. Hey you, man! Eugen Istodor: As a manipulator what is your everyday ethics of other fricks? Clin Mocanu: This is the only field in which the manipulators are serving a good cause, they are training, perfecting, moving, healing and giving joy... From Academia Caavencu

ste o deosebit onoare s fiu invitat ca lector i preedinte de juriu la cea de a IX-a ediie a festivalului Teatrului ndric. Romnia are o mare reputaie n arta animaiei, dar scopul festivalului este, i acela, de a privi n afara granielor sale pentru a vedea ce tradiii i inovaii exist n alte ri i de a introduce o mare varietate de stiluri i concepte. Cu toate acestea, NDRIC rmne credincios misiunii sale de a oferi o gam larg de producii pentru copii i aduli i s-i educe pe tinerii creatori s experimenteze noi idei artistice. Ideile pot rsri n tot felul de moduri. Pot veni din inspiraia derivat din spectacolele cu stiluri neobinuite sau din mijloace artistice inovatoare. Pot veni din prelegerile care exploreaz noi perspective. Din ateliere despre tradiiile culturale care sunt pentru muli noi i incitante. Pot veni din discuiile cu cei tineri sau btrni, din contacte i conexiuni care nu ar fi avut loc dac nu am fi fost cu toii aici. n lumea noastr din ce n ce mai globalizat, am gasit noi ci de a aciona i interaciona i am obinut noi perspective ale diversitii culturale din societatea noastr. Dar, strvechea art a teatrului i a spectacolului, a jocului i a creativitii, a experimentului i crerii de spectacole a rezistat timp de secole i, cu siguran, nu va fi niciodat nlocuit. Ba dimpotriv, va fi mereu mbogit prin participare mutal i schimburi. Aceast dragoste pentru art este ceea ce avem n comun, i ceea ce ne aduce mpreun. Atept cu nerbdare schimburile dintre noi!

t is an extreme honor to be invited as presenter and president of the jury of the 9th TANDARICA Puppet Festival. Romania has a reputation for the art of puppetry, but the aim of this festival is to also look outside of its own borders to see what traditions and innovations in puppetry exist in other countries and to introduce a wide variety of styles and concepts. With this TANDARICA remains true to its mission to offer a large range of productions for children and adults and nurture young creators to experiment with new artistic ideas. Ideas can spring up in all kinds of ways. It can come from being inspired by watching performances in unusual styles or with innovative artistic means. It can come from lectures that spark new insights. It can come from workshops on cultural traditions that are to us new and exciting. It can come from conversations with young and old, with making contacts and connections that would not have happened without the presence of all here. In our increasingly globalizing world we have found new ways of acting and interacting and have obtained new insights in the cultural diversity of our society. But the ancient art of theatre and performance, of play and creativity, of experiencing and making productions has endured for centuries and indeed will never be replaced. On the contrary, it will be ever enriched by mutual participation and exchange. This love for the art is what we have in common, and what brings us together here. I look forward to our exchanges.

at-ne n miezul toamnei cnd, parc spre a ne alunga temerile de o iarn grea, la ndric rsun ecourile unei bucurii fr frontiere, vestindu-ne c a nceput marele Festival internaional de teatru pentru cei mici, i nu numai pentru ei, pus n aceast ediie sub semnul afirmrii excelenei n arta animaiei. Stau mrturie acestei afirmaii numeroase spectacole, conferine, ateliere, lansri de carte, expoziii i dezbateri cu participarea directorilor de teatre, menite s ofere confruntri atractive, performane seductoare i motive temeinice de interes i de admiraie. Dincolo de toate acestea, organizatorii ndjduiesc s ofere nu numai prilejurile bucuriei celui mai entuziast public, dar i repere fructuoase pentru perfecionarea miestriei profesionale a tuturor slujitorilor acestei arte att de vechi i att de tnr prin eterna ei renatere de la o generaie la alta. n caruselul plin de vioiciune i fantezie al manifestrilor, alturi de apreciai reprezentani din ara noastr, vom afla prestigioi ambasadori ai animaiei i ai nvmntului artistic de pe meleagurile europene, asiatice i americane, reunii ntr-un bogat dialog intercultural dedicat definirii unor tendine actuale i unor expresii cu putere de referin pentru excelena n viaa teatrului de animaie. Sper c i aplauzele furtunoase ale copiilor i sursul nnobilat de nostalgie al nsoitorilor acestora, dar i opiniile specialitilor vor confirma succesul unei ediii de mare altitudine valoric, pe msura eforturilor generoase ale organizatorilor i a ncrederii minunailor oameni de suflet, de spirit i de bun voin care alctuiesc Teatrul ndric.

ere we are in the middle of autumn when, as if to banish our fears of a hard winter, the echoes of a joy without borders are ringing at Tandarica, announcing the start of the great international Festival of theatre for the little ones and not only for them, placed under the sign of proclaiming excellence in the art of animation. As proof stand numerous performances, conferences, workshops, book launches, exhibitions and debates with the participation of theatre managers, having the purpose to provide attractive confrontations, seducing performances and strong reasons for interest and admiration. Beyond all this, the organisers hope to offer not only the opportunity for joy to the most enthusiastic audience, but fruitful landmarks for improving professional skills for those who serve this art, so old but still so young through its continuous rebirth with each generation. In the carousel full of vivacity and novelty of the events, along with valued representatives of our country, we will find prestigious ambassadors of animation and artistic education from Europe, Asia and the United States of America, meeting in a rich intercultural dialogue dedicated to defining current trends and powerful expressions of reference to the excellence in the life of animation theatre. I hope that the storm of applause of children and the nostalgic smile of their companions, but also the opinions of specialists will confirm the success of this edition of high value, thanks to the generous efforts of the organizers and the trust of the wonderful people of soul, spirit and good will that form Tandarica Theatre.

ovestea de la NDRIC se apropie mai mult de propunerea filmului lui Disney, care transform povestea lui Andersen n mod semnificativ, meditaia asupra valorilor spirituale devenind o poveste convenional n care eroina este rspltit la final cu o csnicie pmntean. irena lui Andersen este atras la suprafaa apei de dou impulsuri complementare, dar separabile totodat: iubirea romantic pentru un prin frumos i dorina moral de a atinge nemurirea sufletului. ica Siren sufer atunci cnd prinul se cstorete cu o alt fat pe care o crede salvatoarea lui. Ea se desprinde de mitul sirenelor, refuznd s l ucid pe prin, sacrificndu-se pe ea i iubirea sa i rmne pe veci prizoniera apelor.

THE LITTLE MERMAID

ur performance is similar to the film made by Disney which transform Andersens story in a significant way, the meditation on the spiritual values becoming a conventional story where at the end the heroine is rewarded with an earthly marriage. he Andresens mermaid is lured at the surface of the sea by two complementary but also separated impulses: the romantic love for a handsome prince and the moral desire to touch immortality. The little mermaid suffers when the prince gets married to another girl whom he thought was his saver. ot being a mermaid at all, our heroine refuses to kill the prince sacrificing her love and that way she remains for the rest of her life as a prisoner of the water. n romn

Fr a se ndeprta de povestea lui Creang, regizorul Daniel Stanciu (lui i aparine i scenariul) adaug aciunii, destul de vioaie, ritmat, o impresionant tent cromatic. Se i cnt, se i danseaz... Jocul actorilor se completeaz fericit cu proieciile de pe ecranul mare din scen. Regizorul scoate n eviden calitile fetei moneagului cea frumoas, harnic i bun la suflet, dar subliniaz i natura fetei babei, cea urt i rea la suflet. Maria Srbu

he plays action is focused around the puppeteer who lives in the Jewish district of Prague, dominated by the mystical shadow of Golem, the magical creature created by Rabi Loew. The puppeteer recreates the real world through puppets. His desire to enliven them becomes almost an obsession and thus he discovers a mysterious hidden face of reality. The puppeteers story meets and at times is the same as the one of Pernath, the gem polisher, who searches for the perfect cut, the one that gives an amorphous stone the value of a diamond. In fact, they are both unconsciously searching nonverbal for enlightenment, the moment of grace when nonverbal the angels wing touches you and reveals the intimate resorts that govern life. Viitorul nu ascunde nimic bun pentru ei, pentru c marile concepte ale Omenirii, odat abordate n viaa cotidian, conduc la suferin i fapte groaznice. Totui, deznodmntul din ultimul tablou nu este unul tragic, Lucifer nu i atinge scopul dup ce se ntoarce cu prinii Omenirii din cltoria lor prin istorie.

arinthy Frigyes has written The Tragedy of the Little Man in 1936, in the style of childrens poems, and intended it as a parody of the vast dramatic poem The Tragedy of Man by Madch Imre. he main work of Madch Imre dates from 1862, is composed of 15 scenes, the main character being Mankind itself. Madch gets his inspiration from the Bible Genesis, Heaven and the casting out from Heaven. Lucifer carries Adam and Eve in a dream journey through the different stages of human history, to deprive them of any hope for life. The future holds nothing good for them, because the great concepts of Humanity, once addressed in everyday life, lead to suffering and terrible deeds. However, the outcome in the last painting isnt tragic, as Lucifer doesnt achieve his purpose after returning with the parents of Humanity from their journey through history.

Acetia se ntrunesc pe acoperiul unuia dintre blocurile din cartier, ncercnd s schimbe condiia lor trist de copii nedorii, concepui din ntmplare. Fiecare dintre ei i dorete o legend care ar putea s-i ofere imortalitate i siguran. Aceste minuni i multe altele se ntmpl ntr-unul dintre cartierele cldite din betonul gri.

Din anul 2002 colaboreaz cu Teatrul Ad Spectatores, cea mai important scen independent de teatru din regiunea Silezia Inferioar. A participat la 20 de spectacole. gata Kuciska graduated from the School State Theatre Ludwik Solski in Krakow, Puppet Department. In June 2009 she obtained a Ph. D degree in the arts. She works at the Puppet theatre in Krakow and at the school she graduated as deputy. r. Manon van de Water (doctor n teatru la Universitatea de Stat din Arizona, doctor n Limbi i literaturi slave, Universitatea din Leiden, Olanda) are titlul Vilas-Phipps de profesor emerit la Universitatea Wisconsin-Madison, directorul Programului de teatru pentru tineret. Manon van de Water (PhD in Theatre, Arizona State University; Drs. in Slavic Languages and Literature, University of Leiden, The Netherlands) is the Vilas-Phipps Distinguished Achievement Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the Director of Theatre for Youth Program. Her research interests have a strong international focus, and include the interdependence of meaning and material conditions in theatre for adults and youth, Russian theatre, international theatre for youth, and theatre and drama in volatile regions. She is the author of several books, she has published widely on theatre, drama education, and theatre for young audiences in national and international journals . Van de Water is the liaison of the American Society for Theatre Research (ASTR) with AATE and ITYARN, and chair of ITYARN, the International Theatre for Young Audiences Research Network of ASSITEJ. Aside from research activities, Professor van de Water has also given numerous national and international workshops on theatre/drama education, and has been invited as a jury member to international TYA festivals.

n aceast prelegere voi oferi o privire de ansamblu asupra modului cum utilizarea teatrului i artelor spectacolului n educaie i servicii sociale se afl n legatur cu numeroase teorii ale inteligenei, teorii ale inteligenei emoionale i tehnici cerebrale de nvare. Cercetrile neurotiinifice recente confirm faptul c tehnicile de teatru i arta spectacolului au potenialul de a fi unelte eficiente n educaia general a copilului, fie c sunt predate ca disciplin separat sau ca strategie de consolidare a nvrii. Voi prezenta legatura dintre utilizarea teatrului n teoriile alternative emergente de predare i nvare bazate pe cercetari recente legate de creier, conturnd o abordare integrativ a predrii i nvrii care promoveaz incluziunea, diversitatea i contientizarea social.

In 1989 a nfiinat Teatrul Mala Scena, al crui director i regizor artistic a fost. A regizat peste 50 de producii pentru copii i tineret care au primit numeroase premii naionale i internaionale. Este fondatorul Teatrului Epicentru.

n this lecture I give an overview of how the use of drama and performance techniques in education and social work connects to multiple intelligence theory, emotional intelligence theory, and brain based learning. Recent neuroscientific research corroborates the notion that drama and performance techniques have the potential to be an effective tool in educating the whole child, whether it is taught as a discipline or an enhancing teaching strategy. I will connect the use of drama in the emerging alternative theories of teaching and learning based on recent brain-based research, laying out an integrative approach to teaching and learning that promotes inclusion, diversity, and social awareness. Ultimately, I will demonstrate that drama and performance are indispensable in teaching the whole child, whether taught as a discipline or a teaching tool.

Bine conjugate, aceste elemente exprim cu atta precizie gndul, nct vorba va trebui bine rostuitea va veni doar ca s precizeze, s nuaneze gestul/atitudinea, i doar dac se impune ca o necesitate. Nu pentru c autorul a scris-o, ci pentru c ea se va nate din corpul actorului ca o rsplat a gestului bine drmuit. Aa cum ar fi zis Artaud, vocea iese din corp, din barb, din cot, din bazin sau din frunte, de acolo de unde va trebui s ias, dac-i dm un rost i-i facem loc

ergem la teatru s experimentm emoii, s intrm n contact cu un set de relaii: actori, spectacol i publicul ce ne nconjoar. n timp ce ateptm s se sting lumina, despictura cortinei ne d de neles c i actorii ne-au ateptat pe noi. Am creat aceast expoziie pentru c avem nevoie mereu de o poveste, vrem s imitm, s jucm i s efectum acte repetate care s asigure continuitatea unei comuniti, att de vital pentru psihicul uman. Potenialul de spaii, idei transpuse pe foi, interogheaz relaia dintre scenografie i performance n activitile dramatice, o platform de iluminare pentru discuii cu privire la legturile dintre teatru, gest n spaiul fizic i aspectele vizuale. Expoziia sondeaz lumi artistice pentru ambele teatre, dramatic i ppui, colaborri din ntreaga ar: fundaluri, schie decor, ppui, costume, mprtind oamenilor arta din spatele reflectoarelor, cum nu a fost niciodat transmis, o resurs, nu numai pentru contextul istoric, dar practic n sine - Art, precum i artefact.

I created this exhibition because we always need a story, we want to imitate, to play, to perform repeated acts in order to assure the continuity of a community so vital for the human psyche. The potential of spaces, translated ideas on paper questioning the relation be-

tween scenography and performance in drama activities, an illumination platform for discussions regarding the bonds between theatre, gesture in physical space and visual aspects. The exhibition explores the artistic world for both theaters, dramatic and puppet, collaborations across the country: backgrounds, decor drawings, puppets, costumes, sharing the art behind the spotlight, as it was never submitted, a resource not only for historical context, but practice itself - Art and artifact.

Maria Mierlu (Mimi pentru prieteni i colegi) este una dintre cele mai talentate actrie i regizoare din teatrul romnesc de ppui. A nceput prin a fi o mnuitoare de rafinat, inspirat, de o extraordinar inventivitate, capabil s se adapteze cu uurin la fiecare tip de ppu, dublat de o subtil interpret a textului. n minile ei ppuile prindeau via, se micau cu precizie, cu graie i finee, transmiteau gnduri i emoie, mbinarea perfect a mnuirii cu rostirea textului fcndu-le expresive i convingtoare. A abordat apoi regia. n creaia din acest domeniu i-a valorificat din plin cultura vast, respectul deosebit fa de operele literare de calitate, capacitatea de analiz multilateral a operei, fantezia bogat, dar i rigoarea n respectul unitii ideatice i stilistice a spectacolului. n lunga sa carier regizoral a mbinat cu miestrie tradiia mai ales filonul popular - cu inovaia, cu experimentul, fiind deschis nnoirilor cu adevrat valoroase i inteligente. Spectacolele sale, ntotdeauna rafinat stilizate i concentrate, reduse la esen, sunt rezultatul unor cutri comune cu scenograful (i a colaborat mereu cu scenografi de prim mrime), pe care l consider creatorul cel mai important n teatrul de ppui. Iar experiena de actri tie s o transmit, cu har pedagogic, interpreilor cu care lucreaz. Zeno Fodor Maria Mierlu (Mimi for friends and colleagues) is one of the most gifted actresses and director of the Romanian Puppet theatre. She started out as a puppeteer of refined inspiration by an extraordinary resourcefulness, able to adapt easily to each puppet, accompanied by a subtle interpreter of the text. In her hands, the puppets came to life, they moved with grace and preciseness, conveying thoughts and emotions. Then she approached directing. She tried to capitalize her wide culture, the great respect for the literary quality of the work, the ability of multilateral analysis, her rich imagination, but also the rigour in respect of ideas and stylistic unity of the show. In her long career as a director she masterly combined tradition- especially the folk one- with innovation, experiment, being open to all valuable and intelligent innovations. Her performances, exquisitely refined and concetrated, reduced to the essence, are the result of common seekings with the scenographer (she collaborated with important scenographers), whom she considered the most important creator of the puppet theatre. And she knows to convey her experience as an actress to the puppeteers with whom she works. Zeno Fodor

Geambec Muezel Din anul 1956, cnd a luat fiin secia de ppui a Teatrului de stat, doamna GEAMBEC MUEZEL (nscut la data de 05 iunie 1937 n localitatea Hrova) a ocupat pe rnd funcia de dansatoare, figurant, casier i organizator de spectacole, n cea din urm ipostaz regsind-o i astzi, dup mai bine de 55 de ani. Este omul care a fcut legtura ntre generaii de copii, unii dintre ei fiind astzi bunici. Dragostea pentru copii i pentru teatru au determinat-o s rmn n activitate chiar i dup pensionare, reprezentnd pentru colectivul tnr al teatrului un reper moral i profesional. Este o legend vie a teatrului de ppui constnean pe care trebuie s o respectm i s o cinstim cum se cuvine ori de cte ori avem ocazia pentru c astfel de oameni pasionai i devotai sunt, din pcate, din ce n ce mai rari. From 1956, when the Puppet Depatment of the State was founded, Mrs. GEAMBEC MUEZEL (born June 05, 1937 in the town Hrova) took on the function of dancer, extra, cashier and agent . Today, after 55 years, she is working in the same place. She is the person who made the connection between generations of children, some of whom are now grandparents. The love for children and for the theatre led her to remain active even after retirement, representing for the young staff of the theatre a mental and professional mark. She is a living legend of the puppet theatre from Constana that we have to respect and to honor whenever we have the opportunity, because such dedicated and passionate people are unfortunately increasingly rare.

Spectacole de colecie care a avut loc 6-10 decembrie 2006. La aceast ediie au participat n concurs 5 trupe din ar i 4 din strintate, teatrul gazd, iar n afara concursului studenii de la Secia Arta Actorului Mnuitor de Ppui i Marionete, U.N.A.T.C, Bucureti.

Teatrul NDARIC cu sprijinul Primriei Municipiului Bucureti a prezentat ediia I a Festivalului Internaional al Teatrului de Animaie Bucurii pentru copii. Spectacole de colecie n perioada 1-4 decembrie 2005. Acesta ediie a constat ntr-o microstagiune a Teatrului ndric i a ctorva teatre invitate din ar, precum i studenii de la secia Secia Arta Actorului Mnuitor de Ppui i Marionete, U.N.A.T.C, Bucureti. La aceast prim ediie nu s-au acordat premii, meniuni sau alte distincii. Teatrul NDRIC si UNIMA Romnia au acordat doar PREMIUL DE EXCELEN n arta animaiei maestrului Valeriu Simeon.
