Realizeaz, n limita a 1-1,5 pagini, o caracterizare a personajului Loga, n baza fragmentului dat:
Btrnul Loga era un om de-o clasic simplicitate rneasc. Nu avea dect patru clase primare.
tiina sa de carte se reducea la desenarea grijulie a slovelor ce-i scoteau broboane pe frunte. Dar el pstra
i o cuviin, i un bun sim n consecin. Nici o condiie uman nu l-a scos vreodat din tiparul strbun

chibriturilor din Statele Unite. Loga devenise, datorit ostenelilor sale nsoite de-o rar iscusin, un fel
de dictator economic n toat Valea Sebeului. i cnd te gndeti ct de modest a nceput! ncepuse ca
simplu ziler, care urnea butenii ce se mpotmoleau printre stncile cu colurile ieite din vltorile rului.
De la munca brut, el trecu degrab la situaii de organizator. El angaj, pe socoteala i dup chibzuina
sa, la nceput civa, apoi n numr tot mai mare, lucrtorii de care cea mai important ntreprindere de
cherestea din inut avea nevoie pentru plutirea lemnului de-a lungul celor optzeci de kilometri ai rului.
Afacerea se dovedi destul de rentabil. Loga trecu la ntreprinderi de tot soiul i de mari proporii. Acum,
n toiul celui de-al Doilea Rzboi Mondial, el era mare proprietar de fabrici, mare moier i deinea
aproape toate aciunile Bncii Sebeana, care constituia cheia vieii economice din tot inutul. i nu-i
trecu omului prin minte nici o clip s-i prseasc vatra lui de btrn gospodar spre a se aeza ntr-alt
parte, mai comod, n mijlocul reelei sale de afaceri. Era legat de munte. Aa a crescut. Aa a rmas. Din
prini ciobani, el cuta s rmn i cioban ntr-un fel, cci la munte, undeva dincolo de ultimul podi,
avea turme de oi i stni n care bacii frmntau cea mai gustoas brnz de burduf din toat ara.
