Comparatia adjectivului

In limba engleza exista trei categorii de adjective:

1. scurte: majoritatea de o silaba si cateva de doua silabe (in special terminate in-y).
exemple: big, fat, small, short, fu-nny, ea-sy, ha-ppy, cle-ver, etc
2. lungi: de doua sau mai multe silabe.
exemple: bo-ring, beau-ti-ful, won-der-ful, hand-some, in-te-res-ting, etc
3. neregulate: nu se compara dupa reguli.
exemple:good, bad, little, much, many, etc.

1. gradul pozitiv:

-este gradul zero al comparatiei: adjectivul la forma de baza.(vezi exemplele de mai

sus)

2. gradul comparativ:

- se compara 2 obiecte pentru a scoate in evidenta calitatea, insusirea unuia din ele.

-se traduce cu ,, mai… decat”

-se formeaza astfel:

1. adjectiv scurt-er than: shorter than, bigger than, funnier than.

2. more adjectiv lung than: more beautiful than,

more boring than, more exciting than, more handsome than, etc.

3. gradul superlativ:

-din trei sau mai multe obiecte unul singur are calitatea cea mai mare sau cea mai
mica.
-se traduce cu : ,,cel mai din/ dintre”.
-se formeaza astfel:
1. the adjectiv scurt-est (in/of): the shortest, the biggest, the
funniest, etc.

2. the most adjectiv lung (in/of): the most beautiful,

the most boring, the most handsome, etc.

II. Make sentences with the adjectives above.

1. Girafa este mai inalta decat leopardul. (tall=inalt)

2. Avionul este mai rapid decat trenul. (fast=rapid)
3. Tim este cel mai scund din clasa.(short=scund)
4. Cel mai mic cangur traieste in Australia. (small=mic)
5. Noi suntem mai atenti decat tine. (attentive=atent; trei silabe)
6. Acesta este cel mai interesant film. (interesting=interesant; patru silabe)
7. Masina lui este mai noua decat a fratelui sau. (new=nou)
8. Maimuta este mai amuzanta decat crocodilul. (funny=amuzant)
