 Ce este Apa Potabilă?
Prin apă potabilă se înțelege apa destinată consumului uman. Aceasta poate fi:
● orice tip de apă în stare naturală sau după tratare, folosită pentru băut, la prepararea hranei ori
pentru alte scopuri casnice, indiferent de originea ei și indiferent dacă este furnizată prin rețea de
distribuție, din rezervor sau este distribuită în sticle ori în alte recipiente;
● toate tipurile de apă folosită ca sursă în industria alimentară pentru fabricarea, procesarea,
conservarea sau comercializarea produselor ori substanțelor destinate consumului uman

Apa potabila trebuie sa fie sanogena si curata, indeplinind urmatoarele conditii:

a) sa fie lipsita de microorganisme, paraziti sau substante care, prin numar sau concentratie, pot
constitui un pericol potential pentru sanatatea umana;
b) sa intruneasca cerintele minime prevazute in lege.
 Resursele de apă a Moldovei
Resursele de apă din Republica Moldova sunt reprezentate de apele de suprafață (două bazine majore ale
râurilor Nistru și Prut) și de apele subterane.
Regimul natural al apelor din râuri în aceste bazine a fost modificat prin construirea de baraje și rezervoare,
create în scopul prevenirii inundațiilor, captării sedimentelor, asigurării cu apă pentru consumul
agricol, industrial și casnic, precum și pentru piscicultură.

Aproximativ 44% din populația țării nu are acces la apă potabilă sigură. Deși, toate orașele și municipiile și
peste 65% din localitățile rurale au sisteme centralizate de aprovizionare cu apă potabilă, doar 50 la
sută se află în stare tehnică satisfăcătoare, restul necesită reparații capitale sau reconstruire.

Specialiștii spun că 61 la sută din apeductele legate de sursele
subterane de apă şi 84 la sută din fântâni nu corespund normelor
sanitare după componenţa chimică. Astfel, apa are o duritate, fie
joasă, fie prea înaltă, cloruri și conductivitate care depășesc
concentrația maximă admisibilă. Apa conţine o cantitate sporită de
fluor, sulfaţi, sulfură de hidrogen şi alte elemente chimice. Calitatea ei
din sursele subterane nu corespunde nici după indicii bacteriologici.
Cel mai mult, sursele subterane de apă sunt afectate de fermele
zootehnice, gropi de gunoi, depozitele de îngrăşăminte şi deşeuri,
precum şi de lipsa sistemelor de epurare.

● Totodată, specialiștii atenționează - apa de calitate proastă duce la diferite
patologii, în funcție de deficitul sau surplusul unor componenți chimici. Ea
afectează aparatul digestiv, ficatul și poate provoca apariția gastritei.
● „În cazul concentrațiilor de săruri minerale, adică mineralizării excesive a
apei sau cum i se mai spune în popor, apa dură, ea poate duce la anumite
tulburări ale tractului gastro-intestinal, poate scădea pofta de mâncare,
slăbiciuni generale. Dacă se înregistrează o cantitate sporită de calciu,
magneziu, atunci poate duce la dezvoltarea litiazelor biliare sau urinare sau
cum cunoaște populația, formarea calculelor în vezica urinară, vezica
biliară. Apa care are o mineralizare scăzută poate contribui la dereglarea
balanței hidrosaline, la dezvoltarea maladiilor cardiovasculare”, afirmă
medicul-igienist Cătălina Croitoru, conferențiar universitar
