Descrierea disciplinei: The course is a useful survey of the dynamics of English literature in the 20th century from the modern (Modernist) to the contemporary literature. It is devoted to the discussion of fiction, drama and poetry from post-Victorianism and early Modernism (1890) to the refined formulae of Late and High Modernism (1930), from the anti-modernism and neorealism of the1950s and the 1960s to Postmodernism and the Present. (1) It focuses on the ways in which these tendencies appear in the 20th century novel, drama and poetry and on the new ways of expression in the 21st century fiction; (2) It is intended to emphasize a characteristic of the modern age-the tension between tradition and modernity- reflected in attitude, style and theme; (3) It displays the developing picture of English literature by way of a new paradigm shift in the contemporary history, theory of literature and criticism which promotes a new type of investigation understood as a communicative process between Author-Reader and History; (4) It seeks to develop the students interpretive skills and their ability to identify and define the changes that occurred in the ways of literary expression. The course is organized around six lecture units, 2(two) contact hours per week, in 14 weeks.

Descrierea disciplinei Este o introducere n teoria i practica traducerii, care urmrete s familiarizeze studenii cu traducerea literar, tehnicile i metodele ei, astfel nct sa-i fac cititori avizai de traducere. De asemeni, cursul are i o seciune referitoare la traducerea oral (simultan, consecutiv, secvenial), n care li se arat studenilor cteva aspecte ale traducerii non-literare. Datorit numrului mic de ore de curs alocate i lipsei seminarului, cursul se oprete doar la problemele fundamentale ale domeniului vizat. IV. Saptamna 6 aplicaie Moduri ale traducerii orale Studenii vor fi familiarizai cu aparatura i procedurile de traducere simultan prin expunerea la texte cu viteze diferite, care se vor nregistra pe suport audio i vor fi corectate. Se va insista asupra abilitilor necesare pentru traducerea oral, cum ar fi:memoria distributiv, cunotinele de tipologie a textului, etc. Sptmna 7 - seminar final Studenii vor fi rugai s revad cursurile i se vor oferi eventuale lmuriri suplimentare unde materia nu a fost neleas, se vor rediscuta cele mai importante probleme puse de curs, se va explica modalitatea de examinare, notare, afiarea rezultatelor etc. VII. Modul de evaluare. Evaluarea este prin colocviu, constnd dintr-o lucrare scris cu subiect ce va atinge cteva probleme discutate la curs. Partea aplicativ va consta fie dintr-o traducere lliterar scris, fie dintr-o traducere oral nregistrat pe suport audio. Studentul poate opta pentru oricare din cele dou. Proporia celor dou cerine este 50-50%. Nota final se obine prin medie aritmetic cu nota de la cursul de Literatur American.

Descrierea disciplinei:
Obiective: Cursul i propune s familiarizeze studenii cu noiuni fundamentale din aria studiilor de film, cu istoria cinematografului american, cu analiza imaginii cinematice, si cu instrumentele de baza ale scrierii de scenarii. Disciplinei are n vedere urmtoarele competene: o Cunoaterea unei serii de concepte eseniale n domeniul studiilor de film o Formarea unei viziuni de ansamblu asupra dezvoltrii cinematografiei americane o nelegerea modului de compunere a cadrelor i secvenelor cinematice, i posibilitatea de a le analiza o Dobndirea unor competene de lucru cu textul filmic i cu forma scenariului cinematografic o Metode: predarea, vizionarea de filme, discuia, prezentri practice ale studenilor
