Stadiul actual privind calculul tensiunilor i deformaiilor remanente n structurile metalice sudate n
Concluzii finale i contribuii proprii prezint enumerarea contribuiilor originale, modul de verificare
a rezultatelor obinute, precum i valorificarea i utilitatea cercetrii.

Abstract
The PhD thesis Researches regarding the influence of the residual stresses on the stability of structures
composed of bars with welded steel sheets sections is structured on five chapters:
The current phase regarding the calculation of the residual stresses and strains in the welded metallic
structures which proposes a synthesis of the knowledge of the domain.
The theoretical and experimental basis of the European buckling curves which presents the criteria
which led to the establishment of the European buckling curves, the way of performing the
experimental attempts to compression, as well as a short summary regarding the establishment of the
equations of the new European buckling curves.
The influence of the residual stresses in the nonlinear analysis of the stability of the columns of steel
structures which establishes the relationships of displacements in the nonlinear analysis of the stability
of the columns of multi-storey steel frames, for three loading cases: when none of the flanges (one of
the walls) yields, when one of the flanges (one of the walls) yields and when both flanges (both walls)
yield.
The estimate of the critical buckling forces and of the correction coefficients on buckling according to
the existing residual stresses from the section of the bar presents how to estimate the residual stresses,
the modeling of the thermal source and applications for the metallic double T welded elements using a
analisys program based on the proposed method. The chapter also contains the results of the finite
elements analysis for double T profiles made of welded steel plates, in order to verify the proposed
method.
Final conclusions and own contributions presents the enumeration of the original contributions, how
to check(validate) the obtained results, as well as the capitalization and usefulness of the research.

The PhD thesis has 283 pages, and containes 52 tables, 676 analytical equations and 119 figures.
